I've had my grandfather's 77 Chevy for several years. It hasn't run on gas for over 20 years, but every truck he had could run on propane with a flip of a switch, so i have started it up every couple months. It hasn't had plates or been drivable for at least ten years, but watching you do your thing has inspired me. I've been working like crazy (and spending like crazy lol). It'll be on the road this year. Thank you for all of your hard work!

With all the insane crazy things going on in the country now, its such a relief to get away to a happy place with you Derick!! Just met a guy and family at the New England 900 and everyone was really nice and easy to talk to. If he comes through town you should definitely go and say hi! His advice actually saved me a wreck when I was cruising my 57 Pontiac out with my dad. I had just watched his boat tail Riviera episode and he was talking through the process of keeping the speed down with bad brakes. Well a couple days later we were putting some miles down after a show and when it came time to turn home I lost my brakes on the exit ramp. Z E R O pedal. Right away some of Derek's pointers popped into mind so I put it in low range, which helped eat up a lot of speed, and I started planning an escape route just in case. Luckily I was able to shut her down with the parking brake and made it hope without much trouble after. So glad I found this channel back during the pandemic, it's a wealth of knowledge and laughs!

A guy was wonderin when a feller installed that sniper. Saw it at the race today. Got otta work early and drove 3 hours just to see ya. Wanted to get a shirt signed for ma dad but found out a fellers gettin pretty popular and the line to see ya was to the moon and back. Luckily i was able to get M'lady a nice straw hat and Jessica was kind enough to sign a shirt for my mom (shes moms favorite). Had to leave before the race started because i had a 7 hour drive up to Maine but im gunna go ahead and be optimistic and say congratulations on the 1st place finish and not blowin up the rig. The next time a feller is in Connecticut you can bet a guys gunna be buyin tickets again. Ill get there even earlier cuz i promised my dad an autograph and who knows, maybe ill even be able to stay for the race.

gotta use cutting oil with those bits because of the properties of metal the thing your drilling will actually get harder as it heats which breaks the bit or something like that. I'm not a chemist but I do remember being told to use cutting oil. Probably the only useful contribution i could ever make. I love this show.
