That wiring harness going over the gauges has to be all the way flush (toward you) against the speedo and tach housing, then secured tightly (wrapped) around the speedo and tach housing all of the way from the top and down around the sides. You can’t have ANY of those wires running over the top of the harness (13:02). Then that key warning buzzer has to be laying as flat as possible. The AIM is your friend!! (I know you finished yours up, I just added this post in case other viewers come here looking for help) You’re doing (or did) a great job on this car. Great videos.
Nice video! Converting my ‘71 to a Tremec TKX 5 speed and had to take the dash apart to get to the new clutch pedal in. Got some good tips that will save me time putting it back together. Thanks for the links to the fuse taps!
Hey mark, nice video. I have a 69 c3. Currently Giving my gauges, dash and center console a facelift. New led bulbs, polished up gauge lenses, clock movement replaced, amp gauge fixed, black powder coated metal components.
I'm going to need to replace the speedo cable one day. I have what I need and understand the process, but I am wondering if it's at all possible to remove the cable from the back of the speedo and attach the new cable WITHOUT removing my steering wheel or having to take the dash apart?

Great job Mark and THANKS for sharing! I've got a '70 that I need to replace my speedometer cable and guess I have to do all that... 😨 Question: How hard was it to remove and reinstall the steering column...?
