Thanks for this informative breakdown of the Piranha. I throw the Power Torq Pearl and the Cuda Solid, and this gives me a good idea of where the Piranha fits in the C300 ecosystem.

This reminds me of the track mutant, color and numbers, except if i remember correctly the mutant was asymmetric. That was my favorite ball of all time.

Looking for a replacement to the DV8 Damn Good verge solid. Would the piranah be similar? I realize the diff is lower in the Verge. I know you can't give out any trade secrets but is there a Damn good verge in the making with HK22?

We are cooking up something cool for that spot in DV8, but it's a long way off. In the meantime, Track Sensor Solid or Hammer Scorpion Low Flare could fit the bill as a replacement for that motion. Piranha has a similar motion shape, but much more of it. the HK cover is also more responsive to friction in general, so takes you away from that blendy look a bit. With a tamer layout, i could still see Piranha working.

Quick question if you drill into it doesn’t that change the ball performance being that you are basically extracting some off that core weight in the weight block

any time you drill into a ball you change the performance, that is why layouts matter so much. The mass removal of the inner core plays a big role in the final ball numbers. With this inner nugget, it is very deep and relatively very small, so hitting it is unlikely, but you could raise the RG just a bit more than usual if you do.

Im hoping to replace my Phase II from the other brand with a Brands of Brunswick ball that has HK22. Would you agree this a very good choice for right handed speed dominant bowler mostly in the track? Big time looks to strong and Hazmat is my other possible choice to pair under Widow 2.0 Hybird as my top ball.

i would say this is a great choice. it's a little earlier in the midlane, which may be useful for your speed. big time is very early and smoother overall, and hazmat is much much longer unless you sand it.

So I have this ball drilled 5x5x3 2ls. Normally that doesn’t really change the balls number when I drill them to much but because the nugget is so dense does that mean the RG will go down when It is drilled?

no. since you are not drilling through the nugget, the drilled numbers scale like normal. the nugget only lowers the RGs of the undrilled ball relative to the same core that does not have a nugget prior to drilling.

@@BowlingBuckosh got ya I just thought maybe it would lower the RG a little cause I’m removing weight from the outside but it definitely makes sense it would change them like normal.

I bought the Power Torq a while back and loved it so much I bought another one !! I followed that up with the Cuda solid and was blown away by it !! ! Question I have is how does it compare to the Cuda and Power Torq? my Power Torq and Cuda are getting old but they still have some life in them, and for me they were always a great compliment to each other - since Cuda's and power Torqs are no longer available and with so much to choose from in the Brunswick stable it gets a bit much to pick one...

i mention this toward the end, but i do feel like both cuda and power torq are a little smoother and rounder shape than the piranha PC, which slows down a bit more in the midlane and has more total hook.
