C6 Corvette Trunk Gas Strut Replacement 

To retain the OEM look and put the boot back over the bottom unscrew the end of the strut and slide the boot on the new one or use a small razor knife cut the side of the boot that faces inward remove it from the old one then slide it over the new strut. 👍😃
