The temps are definitely up these but It’s still within spec for what Mobil 1 recommends for termperatures. The downside of oil getting this hot is it breaks down faster, so you should just change it more often to keep everything fresh. I change the oil every 2000-3000 miles with the track driving I do. You’re not the first person to mention this though! I have been working on a video talking about this topic, using lab testing of my oil to talk about what are “safe” conditions and how often you should change oil when doing hard track work. Loved it! What type of tires? A lot of squealing. All seasons? 200 - 240 tread wear are sticky and no squeal is my experience. Very cool to see you catch the German Taxi👍👍😎🇺🇸
Thank for the comment. During that lap I was on Michelin Pilot Sport 4S, a really solid 300TW summer tire. A few days after this lap time I switched to Sport Cup 2’s (180TW). Much more stick but also more temperature sensitive. Check out the most recent videos for content with those! -Mike
