Let’s be honest.. everyone knows once the ZR1/Z06 C8 comes out they are fkd! The base model C8 is door to door with Mopars/Fords best at mid 400hp. Stangs/ hellcats/ vipers had their fun but it’s time for the king to awaken 🔥🔥.

gt500 has HP, unfortunately not balanced as well as C8. All around vehicle for street, id say C8. Weight where it matters. 650 HP in that C8 would be an absolute lights out ride. Quick as hell.

A front engine car is never going to hook up like a mid engine car. The Z06 will be a total game changer.

Most of you are actually slow as all hell and don’t realize the GT500 has a full second to 2 second delay from factory in the launch control.

Can't wait for that Z06. Shouldn't be too much longer.

At the beginning of the vid, I noticed that you were travelling up the grapevine headed towards the San Joaquin Valley. Then once you were at the event, I kept thinking that it looks like where I grew up. Then in the background, I saw Coalinga Fire Dept and started busting up. You were close on the c8, I got goosebumps watching that, I also found out a few days ago that the gt500 might not be quick as the c8 launching but it can put accelerate it. That’s nuts that race.

Wow, I guessed a stock C8 would run about 135 in the 1/2 mile and it did 144. I also guessed the GT500 would run around 150 which it also exceeded.

That gt500 was going to blow past that vette. You had a very late start and still mph'd that vette in the end. You were gaining so fast after 120mph

I seriously love how you took the time to run the GT500 in both states of factory aero, something I've never seen anyone do. I'm not surprised that it was worth 3-4 mph either, and bet most of the improvement happened after 110-120 mph. Awesome job!

what they did to the corvette is amazing that suspension and technology that went into it to launch 🚀 like a rocket for an rear wheel drive car is insane wich is why i think it beat the 760 🐎 GT-500 plus the surface dint help the GT-500 on the launch but on a prepped surface that GT-500 would definitely take it in the 1/4 and specially on the 1/2 it was coming in hot 🔥 WHAT A TIME TO BE ALIVE 🇺🇸

The physics is interesting here SP. The C8 launches so well but the GT500 beat it into the ground based on top speed even with the Vette in the lead at the finish line. Of course, with an extra 260hp the GT only needed a little more time to take the overall lead. Pretty impressive that the C8 conquers most anything on the launch. GM really engineered that car well. It’s really an amazing car to just kick around town in and to race. Super versatile 🤙

And that is the difference in quick and fast...C8 is a champion of a car.

The hood doesn’t create downforce, it reduces front end lift by allowing air that would normally be trapped in the engine bay after passing through the radiator to escape. Look at many cars at high speed and you can see the hood bowing up for that reason. That likely cost you some speed instead of allowing you to attain a higher one

That track looks like it’s in my neck of the woods. Where is it? I hope you get the tire thing worked out and keep the GT500.
