And where exactly is the speed disconnect? I see nothing above my rear wheel? Is it different for the 48v?. The older xb-504 was a wire connect near the left handlebar that disconnected the governor

Did you have to remove the brake caliper/housing in any way to make sure that the brake pads aligned with the brake disc?
@GTNOfficial
@GTNOfficial 2 года назад
Yes unfortunately the brakes were not easy to install and did require moving the housing around a bit on my unit

Anyone whose front brake pads are too tight / close together to get the brake disk in - just put a flat head screwdriver between them and wiggle. They'll open right up.

Also this is a downgrade from the xb-504. I had four of those. They were better built, better parts like wheels. Almost all the changes between this xb-505 and the older 504 are to save them money and use cheaper parts. Instead of a locking glove box there now just an open space?! Battery is harder to remove, and I swear it's heavier which makes no sense as mine are all the 48v. Screw on pedals instead of the old ones that just clipped on.. Still like it, but def prefer the older model

I've had this for about 6 months now. Meh, it's ok. Speed limiter still cannot be unlocked. Company has been nice but very unhelpful with this. After getting a lot of run around for several weeks, I finally gave up talking to them. I even paid extra to get their lifetime warranty option, but it doesn't seem to have done me any good. I don't think they know any more about the scooter than I do. I wish I had gotten a stand up scooter with optional seat, and one that can go FASTER. 30 km/hr is only about 18-19 mph. For me, it's just not that fast.

Removing the limiter is quite easy, just disconnect the white clip under the top plastic cover of the rear wheel. Took me about 2 minutes to figure out

Sorry to clutter up the comments, but I recently took the plunge and got one of these. My experience so far: The date that the tracking website told me was going to be the date of arrival, the scooter did NOT arrive. It ended up arriving several days later; it was about a 4 week wait altogether. The delivery driver was cool enough to load the scooter into my garage. However, the shipping company told me on the phone that this will be done only at the driver's own discretion and that they will not pull their truck into your driveway (which was true). Assembly took much longer than I expected. It took several hours and 2 people. Granted, I took my time and recruited someone to help me, since I wanted to really make sure I didn't mess anything up. The manual is terrible. Grainy, poor quality pictures in black and white. Terrible English. You can tell it was all likely by the janitor who works at the factory in China. Some of the assembly instructions even contradict what's in this video. Thank God for this video; when I doubt, I followed the video. The trunk does rattle a bit when you ride it. I fixed this by using the screws from the cage to secure the trunk. The trunk actually has 22 holes and the trunk rack has 6 holes. It comes with 4 screws. Apparently you just pick which holes you want to use. Speaking of screws, many of them just barely fit in their intended spots. Esp regarding the front cover. There are even some random bars that came with my scooter that have no apparent purpose. The front wheel has to be turned a certain way in order to turn the ignition off. When you turn the ignition on, don't press in too hard; otherwise it will not turn on. When I charged the battery the first time, the green indicator light (ie, to indicate that charging was complete) came on within about 10 minutes of charging. I ignored this and let it charge for about 7 and a half hours. So far, no battery issues. Have only driven it a few miles so far though. Still have not had to re-charge. The battery is huge, and far heavier than I expected. The fabric straps that you see covering the battery are actually a handle that you can use to lift it out. It took me a few minutes to realize this, lol. If you read down this far, thanks. Hope this helps someone.

So first those bars are to go inside the storage box to keep it from rattling. Just received mine and the charger has never gone red. I'm concerned

Bro I'm sorry but this video sucks. Doesn't show any of the little stuff people need to know. Where do I start. The back nut in the handlebar bolt, how the heck you suppose to tighten that properly if you can't fit a wrench in the nut?! Second, wheel spacers, comes with two, different sizes and the directions only say to use one. All the videos don't even talk about the wheel spacers, tork specs nothing. Little things like screw clips for the front plate. Exactly where the speed limiter disconnect is on all the different models. The battery, can be taken out and charged separately, but nobody talks about that? I could continue, but thank God I'm mechanically inclined, if not I would have been completely stuck and possibly have a dangerous moped. Someone needs to make a video showing all the steps from start to finish using all the parts provided. Especially if this is the video sent to people who purchased this from urban bikes direct.

I’m really sorry to hear you didn’t like it. I followed the instructions I was given by the manufacturer to make the video and did my best to show everything I could. As for disconnecting the speed limiter, I was directed not to show that on video as to avoid legal troubles. I apologize for any inconvenience this caused and I’d advise you to disconnect the wires on the rear wheel via the white plastic clip to remove it. Let me know if you’d like any more information
