I feel like this is Taliesin’s brain going, “I NEED THIS I NEED THIS,” and then deciding that he would use it to screw around with the party when they do important character things.

I think Caduceus using the death flute is a glimpse into what he's like with his siblings

I love how Matt was allowing Caduceus to get near his sister undetected without rolling, but as soon as he pulled the bone flute out he immediately said "Roll a stealth check". He didn't even blink. He just understood

He's gonna become a weird cryptid now, for all the commoners who hear that flute in the distance.

I recently gave the bard in my campaign a death whistle that helps spells but hinders everything else! I bought a reproduction off eBay so he could get the feel for the horror it makes that could be called "music".

He is practicing the death call of The Owlbear... for a Mighty Nein/Darrington Brigade Crossover Event... coming next year on the CW!!!

So I've looked up what this whistle (death whistle) sounds like and it's actually so much more terrifying than he makes it sound. It's like this high pitched, blood curdling scream. It's so freaky But this is way funnier

Reading the past comments on this is so funny. Everyone expected a big plot moment out of it, and Cad simply used it to prank his sister once they were reunited. Nothing hugely eventful, nothing destined. Just a great RP moment. Love Taliesin for that.

I did something similar when my dwarven bard obtained a cloak of billowing. Staring down the latest big bad to kill, "I billow my cloak." Serious character building moment between me and the rogue, "I billow my cloak." I love Cad.

Taliesin is one of the most beloved CR players while still with the potential to be annoying as fuck from time to time. It must be his wonderful witchcraft, about he being really good people.
