Talking to nature, letting them know stuff. just Caduceus things. - Disclaimer No I do not own any of this. This belongs to Critical Role Critical Role can be found: RU-vid:ru-vid.com/show-UCpXB... Twitch: / criticalrole
we have a firbolg in my party that I'm DMing and this is literally what it's like. it's like "I wanna talk to the moss." and as a DM I have to say OK because how can I say no to a firbolg
We also have a Firbolg!! She's a collector of plants. Literally, she has a bag of holding that no-one else is allowed to use and it's filled with seeds and samples. Funnily enough, she's also an expert in making poisons.
4:44 "I'm gonna talk to the moss." Party: "?" Cad: "I'm gonna ask the moss to make sure you have a very comfy sleep." DM: Nods, "Mm'kay..." I love this, Matt's going along, but is also like, "Okay bud, we're talken to moss. Now I gotta figure out what accent moss has."
first we have percival....deadly in wit as he is in aim.......mollymauk jovial and always pushing people in the right way.......caduceus clay weird but he brings life and light to a dark place
Duuudee i sooo want to play D&D , i wanna be a firlbolg druid , chill-ass-cow ! I must admit that i got inspired by Mr Clay here , but instead of tea i`m more of a pipe firbolg
My firbolg ranger has beaten a few enemies with the power of friendship, they just stopped attacking us cause he talked to them (and I got a few nat 20’s)
I wish Matt knew how 'Speech of Beast and Leaf' genuinely worked in campaign 2, 'cause it would've made Taliesin's roleplay and ability that much better. Effect: You have the ability to communicate in a limited manner with beasts and plants. What's that limited manner? They can understand the meaning of EVERYTHING you say to them, no matter what language you speak in, but you can't understand them in return without some sort of spell. AND you have advantage on all Charisma checks you make to influence them. Throughout the campaign any time Taliesin tried to communicate to beasts or plants that would WITHOUT A DOUBT have him make a Charisma check - it was down played by Matt (not on purpose). Rarely was any charisma check given, and no charisma check WITH ADVANTAGE was ever made anytime he attempted it. But it was still a great campaign, and a great character. I forget a lot of my PCs abilities too, and usually leave it up to them to remember - but I also re-read everything every now and again to make sure they're not missing anything. Matt's a phenomenal DM, I'm just very observant. Love the guy, not trying to come off as harsh. xD
@Professor Thinker Calm down you 12 year old, and read what I said: "Rarely was any charisma check given, and no charisma check WITH ADVANTAGE was ever made anytime he attempted it." You're a noob.
No its not diminishing it, i think it adds to it, gives them something to roleplay between them more, ep 119 is a good example of this, its really cool
