@@oImBreach Yea I thought the same thing. That isn't the time for a joke... when you are the support and your ADC is so upset about the state of the team that he is punching doors and crying... and Vulcan is making jokes as he leaves the room... bruh
@@oImBreachnah, I dont think so. He "jokes" about it in a very direct way. It's a tense situation that needs to be approached with caution. Berserker is pissed AT JOJO. Saying "that door will be you next time" is a joke that lightens the mood, but also states "this is your fault and we all know it. Do better" If the mood is lightened in a way that allows them to clearly communicate and solve the problem, it's a win. If it's a way to push the main issue under the rug and just move on, THEN I agree with you. It really just depends on what was talked about after this (I didn't watch video this clip came from) That "joke" alone is no problem and in a lot of situations will make the real issue easier to talk about/solve without tempers continuing to rise.
@@oImBreachwhy does he need to take everything seriously and made the mood worse for the entire team? noone wants to feel shit thats why they make jokes to improve the atmosphere
@@swordonline5026 I heard that some coaches in LCS and LEC don't have much authority. They are scared of the players because they can get you fired just because the players don't like the coach. I heard from LCK personnel that that kind of environment is unthinkable.
This is why G2 2019 did as well as they did, an already good roster that just practiced non stop all day every day. Perkz even said after losing to FPX, “I just want to be human again”. That’s the commitment it takes to get to the top, you have to give your life to it.
Imagine the LCK teams, even if they are not the best in the region they do this for as long as possible. This kind of behavior must be called out, and I like improvements from other regions
Yeah and remember they still lost 6 games in 2,5 hours in scrimms against a jetlagged damwon in 2019 worlds...Grabbs even said himself they all were convinced they get 3-0 in quarters that year
so long as he's in NA, he's going to forever be dissapointed, the guy was super promising and instead of innevitably joining the lck or lpl, he took the money, he made this bed.
He needs to join Impact and Core, those 2 players still maintain the Korean attitude of grinding and never settling for complacency. Those 3 players together is such a solid core to build around
C9 is lucky to have berserker, if the management doesnt want him to have a work ethic the same as him, better leave the team and find a better team who has the same vision as his
Yes it is unimportant, prove for that is g2 are scrim worlds champions and then they got stomped by nrg at stage ( they hard stomped nrg at scrims but dont tell anyone 🤫)
i can give you alot of examples and proves that scrims is a joke, in 2022 at worlds fnatic scrimmed no team they still got first place and also stomped eg (playins)
@@Ekorn11g if u used them as actual practice (doesn’t matter if u win or lose) it is a matter of productive training. If ur practice is “okay imma go int and is whatever, is a scrim, it doesn’t matter” well your fucking everyone else’s training, and suddenly you’ll become mediocre too because you stop caring about training because unfortunately there is nothing you can do, landing players to the fucking ground is job of the coaching staff, not the players job
u know fnatic in 2021 or 2022 not sure they used to troll in scrims and actually some of the teams blacklisted them from playing against them in scrims and that year they had a good performance still, i still think scrims arent that impactful, think c9 are just bad their synergy is weak everyone underperformed their drafting is bad also i dont think their bad performances was because trolling scrims @@jdmd3247
Jojo doesn't show restraint. He doesn't know how to play from behind. If the game state was favourable and then suddenly isn't, he will just keep inting. This was a problem even on the Inspired EG roster (they would just start chain inting after throwing and the game is over in 2 minutes). Aside from that, its just not a feasible expectation to play every game perfect and to pin point a single moment where the game is lost, which is what a lot of these top teams do (its a natural tendency for teams with stronger than league average laners). It would be more productive to focus on good team play, playing smart towards win conditions, and then not giving up if things don't go to plan. Its so easy to pinpoint a single moment where a big int happens and to solely focus on that. But then you ignore the rest of the gameplay that could've revived those mistakes. Look at the current TL. Those guys make hella mistakes, but their focus is entirely different. Their coaching and playstyle isn't focused on not making mistakes. TL's playstyle is entirely about playing with pressure on the enemy team, making it annoying for them to play and basically saying "fuck it we ball" and ready to take the fight whether its int or not. Seems a lot easier to develop as a team with clear objectives like "we're going to play this way" instead of "keep doing what we're doing but don't make that mistake next time".
I think training focus is important, but “my bad” isn’t healthy. A good team holds people accountable and will let it get to a shouting match if it has to. Improvement as individuals and as a team should be held above all. Communication, active and vocal reflection, and accountability are what is seemingly lacking here. It’s clear that the team isn’t holding each other accountable and it’s making it difficult for Berserker to be the only one doing it. This is entirely a failing in the coaching system.
@@PokeRedstone I really doubt the issue is individual performance or work ethic. They have the players that are known for work ethic and they are all some of the best in the league. They're all holding themselves accountable I doubt the team needs anyone to hold each other accountable. I think more so the team just disagrees on how to play making them all look bad. The problem is that they as a team aren't a cohesive unit. They are all putting in the work they just aren't synergizing well which materializes as "ints", but really as an individual theres nothing you can do. You just have to discuss as a team macro, draft, game plan. Focusing on ints will be counter productive itll just distract from the bigger issues. Imo the issue is probably blaber. Blaber is the most selfish jgl in the league and jojo and berserker are the two most selfish laners in the league. I really think Blaber needs to go. Blaber doesn't play proactive enough. This isn't a meta where jgl can farm. This is a meta where jgl has to constantly make plays and blaber makes less plays than any jgl. And it forces jojo to want to push his lead by himself and it ignores their greatest asset in the bot lane. Jojo played insane he probably played the best on C9 he just never had a chance to push his lead. Blaber and vulcan never played with him and never wanted to make proactive plays. Jojo had to 1v5 if he wanted to push his lead, so either he inted his lead or he just afk until teamfights. Vulcan is also just a bad supp imo, but its whatever.
poor berserker man. dude is actually serious and putting his heart into the game. He needs to be back in LCK where everyone takes it seriously but at the same time if he goes back will he even have a spot on an LCK roster he might have to start back in the LCKCL.
I don't know what Berserker expects in the LCS, I don't think there's much left for him there. He needs to find his way to the LCK/LPL. He can't grow in LCS
Yes, a professional hardworking player versus a drama queen with cheating and gambling in his history LS. It's too bad that social media tends to believe in fake news like LS rather than reality.
@@AlexanderFaker emenes caught flack because he said it was annoying to play with overpaid monkeys who don't practice the very thing they're paid to do.
there's no senior voice on the team. C9 has no CoreJJ or Impact to call out bad plays from younger players. Blaber and maybe Vulcan are the most senior members on the team, but Blaber is spineless and Vulcan has the personality of a wet noodle.
Honestly C9 have no clue how to actually progress the game. They draft for early game then get a bit of an advantage then the people who are supposed to progress the game are busy playing PVE, listening to payphone, or flexing about going even with second wind dshield. Like they have no plan besides "lets stomp lanes and see what happens guys!" and it insane that they had 2 weeks off and didnt reassess the situation to take a different approach. Like if they come back after their Korea bonding trip and they arent any different yet again (just like last year wow) then I dont want to see Mithy as a head coach on any team for the rest of my life.
Imo blaber is the issue. He's the most selfish and least proactive Jgl in the LCS and he's been this way for like 3 years now. He doesn't make a play until 15 mins and its usually supp who has to engage it. Thats why I like Zven as a support he was proactive and forced blaber to support his plays. Now that vulcan is here they are legit doing nothing. Blaber afk farms. They have the 3 best lanes in the league as a jgl this is your dream. Contract River Inspired would be in heaven right now if they had C9's lanes.
western players think it's just all fun and games and ez money, while eastern players understand that if they don't make it in this career, they're done
"na fails at international because they are overpaid with too much safe money. they have forgotten what it means to play for the food on your table." - loose translation of KK0MA, T1's head coach.
This too me just ilustrates the big difference in mentality from the Western players to the Eastern players , our players don't take practice seriously enugh even if we do have skilled players.
Imagine us realizing that maybe the C9 system (coaches + environment) is the problem (imo it started when LS got let go). Not calling out players for their ints, Mithy not being a good coach, Zven maybe being the backbone of the bot lane, Fudge being too passive/not taking enough chances. The list is huge. I think Jojo is a good player but he might not fit in the C9 Machine. He might be let go for a different reason than Emenes was let go.
First thing LPL did wasn't import Korean players, they imported the coaching staff, they knew to keep at the game, you need the system first before nurturing talent. NA has individual talent for sure, they just don't have the staff that can lead the mentality. So much softies in NA right now.
I think this is a pretty awful take. Jojo strikes me as the type to limit test int. Which is probably what you actually want out of scrims, if you watch his games he’s clearly been serious about improving and winning. Berserker can be as frustrated as he wants, he didn’t play well this split. Almost all of their leads came from playing through mid. If anything Jojo is C9’s future. Even in their loses it’s clear why there’s a disconnect. Jojo is a playmaker, he wants to make moves around the map. The rest of C9 is wayyyy too passive. What they’re calling his “ints” here are likely just him trying to make a play. There’s a reason why Fly and TL spent almost all of their resources shutting down mid. If Jojo couldn’t play C9 just rolled over.
he was a promising talent in T1 academy i still think he's the best western adc, but rn if he wants to grow, the best decision is to go to LCK or LPL and not staying for a big paycheck
@@alfonsorodriguez7713 Ruler's first domestic title was that year, and it took him 5 years since his last trophy at Worlds 2017. Immediately upon joining the LPL he wins 2 domestic trophies and his first MSI. Because he does so well that year he gets the spot on the Korean Asian Games roster over Viper, who maybe primarily came back to the LCK because of that spot, and Gumayusi, and then he goes on to win Gold securing him military exemption. Yes, Ruler was doing fine in the LCK. He has been doing much, MUCH better in the LPL. The star of GenG when Ruler was on the roster, and continuing to this day, was and will always be Chovy. On JDG Ruler is the star, he is the single most important player. It will be the same anywhere he goes in the LPL.
@@scifimisc9191Tbf, the rest of that JDG roster was also insanely stacked, talent wise maybe one of the best of all time. They also played around Ruler very well. Aside from LNG later on, their main competition was BLG and they had their number maybe even harder than Gen G has T1s
Yeah lets not add Ruler. Moving to LPL is a totally different than moving to NA. I get so sad whenever promising Korean talents move to the west for money. I feel kinda bad for berserker but dude. You should have expected it.
Jojo inting seems less of an individual effort thing (and less of what berserker is frustrated about) and more a symptom of other problems. Berserker isn’t just mad that Jojo is inting, he’s mad that no one else is addressing that issue seriously. Of course a core part of the issue is Jojo’s inability to play from behind, but the rest of C9 apparently doesn’t bring it up.
I really dislike the coaching staff for asking berserker on what should be done next. Brother. He’s a contracted ADC. His only goal should be to play his best game and the solution should be presented by the coaching staff. Berserker is being gated by his own coaching staff and this conversation shows it.
LS didnt even last a season in that region cause he's ways is probably that same way of an LCK and LPL coach, which NA region considered toxic it not the region that its weak but the work ethic of these esports team in that region
That is pretty much the reason, theres a C9 video where jack talks about why LS was let go and he pretty much says that LS didn't fit the C9 infrastructure. Everyone says LS most likely tried to change too much and management didn't like it so they gave him the boot.
LS probably is one of the most toxic league personality to ever exist, he can't complain about toxicity himself lmao look at that guy's resume and you'll see he can't last long ANYWHERE he works at, both in Korea or NA
@@TheSmartCinemaLmao misinformation. If you actually look at every team he's been on, a lot of them are orgs changing names, disbanding, etc. Bro looked at one tweet and thinks he knows what happens behind the scene.
Vulcan with the most NA comment ever cracking a joke as Berserker slams the door pissed off. This is why Korea wins 80% of world championships and NA gets knocked out of play ins by Vietnams 2 seed.
Reapered gonna straighten this shit out. He is gonna fucking be a reality check for NA mindset. Reapered famously had 7 man roster, where if you don't care enough you don't play.
he means his teammates arent mad at themselves for underperforming, insinuating that their attitude is one of complacency and not of passion and drive.
MY ADC. I'd sell the entire team if it meant he stayed long term and we built the team around him. He wants to win at an international tournament in NA, which would both boost his legacy as a player and the region as a whole. Hopefully getting Thanatos will bring a more Korean mindset to the work ethic of scrims. Our performances during the season are a reflection of scrims.
Probably especially frustrating for him since adc takes a while to scale. If your team just griefs before you hit 3 items every game you legit can't play
“My bad” is never helpful. Laying out actual steps to improvement and accountability is always better. This is why coaches exist and esports hasn’t had that click yet.
Imma be honest inting shouldn't be C9's focus. Execution isn't the reason why they lose. Even when they play perfectly individually they lose by a large margin. The issue is they don't have a team identity. They don't have a game plan. And they have very few and very poor macro ideas. This has been an issue for the past 3 years. They consistently just autopilot until 20 mins and hope and then coinflip teamfights. And they've been exposed more this year. At the pro level if a team is doing bad especially with the talent C9 has individual performance shouldn't be even examined. The issue is what tf are we drafting. What is our pre 15 game plan. Why are we moving the way we are. Why are we making the plays we are making / why are we not making the plays we aren't making.
its clear berserker isnt upset about the mistakes and ints themselves- thats ok. Its the way his teammates dont care about it and arent angry at themselves and wanting to improve. Poor dude getting a reality check that this dogshit attitude of complacency is the NA culture.
Meanwhile in Korea, foreign professional players’ accounts got taken away because they int in soloQ. That shows how much they care about always taking their crafts seriously and winning the game. These NA players don’t even give a shit about scrims and they wonder why they suck. It’s not about talents. It’s the work ethics.
Ig that's the mental damage that years of failure have done, you just don't believe in the fact that you can win so you don't put much effort. It's so sad though because 2018-19 was not that long ago. If they can just believe again like they did back then, it makes int'l stages so mych more fun to watch. Ik ppl meme the west a lot, but we're still genuinely happy when an upset happens. Isn't that motivation enough? To see your fans be happy? I'm an LCK fan but damn, it just gets boring. We don't expect you guys to win, but we at least expect you guys to fight man
The fact that Reginald was allowed to control an LCS team tells you all you need to know about the league. It will never be competitive until there’s a culture shift. C9 canned LS after a couple of months when LS did what was necessary for the team to succeed. A lot of NA pros are complacent and not ravenously hungry to win and improve.
Its not the team or the teammates fault per se, most of theese players are children still i mean JoJo is like what? 19 or smth? How many 19 year olds do u see with professional work ethic theese days? 1 in 10 million mbe? I think the team just needs a coach that is more hands on not some washed up ex pro that has had behavior issues his entire career (even got banned from pro play for it). They need actual adults to keep theese kids in line and working as a team not as children on a playground getting a free paycheck.
This is the annoying attitude that C9 always has, meteos was expressing this over confident and relaxed attitude about C9 all season and look how they pummeled… they really thought they were amazing because of who they had on the team but forgot that you need to work with a team to win
this is why people call NA the retirement home region. They don't play to win, they play because it's in their contract. You *should* be getting mad and frustrated when you play poorly. Obviously don't be a dick about it to your teammates and call them inbred or something, but anger can come from a place of passion towards the game. When you just go "my bad" and keep playing like ass it doesn't mean anything. if you misplay, you should be mad at yourself. refocus and get your head in the game. it's a meme at this point and ninja is a goofball, but he had a point when he said when you stop getting angry, you've lost twice. it means they've just given up, they don't have that drive to win.
ThE c9 SyStEmS ~ Jack Is a joke, and the c9 system is clearly dogshit, and they are content with it being dogshit. This was Extemely clear when they outted LS a few years ago because he clearly thought their system was a fucking joke, and clearly he was right.
It doesnt matter about money. He loves money and he's proven to be worth it. When all of a sudden the once dominant team you're a part of (and you're in-part praised as one of the highest contributing factors for) suddenly starts to slump and shrivel, you're absolutely going to feel annoyed and angry. If you hold yourself to a standard, you will absolutely going to be mad when you arent playing/accomdated for playing at the level you expect yourself to be at
look. you're in korea challengers and even if you're really good, what are the chances you're going to get promoted to a good to decent team in lck? very slim, there is just such an abundance of amazing players in korea that if you get an offer from a top team in a worse region, it's an amazing offer. even if they paid way less than they actually do, it'd still be a great opportunity and just doesn't make much sense not to take it.
Ceiling lcs Berserker would probably be better than 50% of lck adc, but wouldn't really know his ceiling if keep playing in lck (harder training schedule, better org, better scrim partners, better team/support)
Little known fact: Beserker was proptly chat restricted and forced to play 5 normal games after this outburst at Jojos intentional feeding. How dare he care about the integrity of the game? Disgusting.
Bruh, you're in NA, you should have expected this. I felt so sad when you decided to move to NA. That was gonna happen at one point or another. And now i hear rumors of Thanatos moving to NA? What a waste of korean talent.
Can't deny that LS drafts were some of the most exciting moments in recent LCS history. Even the haters had to admit that it made LCS way more fun to watch
Yup, it's where the systems took them and that's exactly where they'll stay. Amazing players who are all top 2-3 in their role but are domestic merchants. Really is sad to see. I don't think LS would've been able to bring this team to international success, but I'd rather see smth new than just perma top 3 finishes and international choke runs.
you answered yourself "0 life experience". berserker is only 20 years old and all they know in life is playing this game. From an outsider's perspective like you and me, yeah we would think "wtf why they crying other this" but to them this its their entire life. literally wake up, scrim and play solo Q, and repeat. so if you have someone on your team not committing as much as you, I mean you can't really shat on them. the fact that this dude speaks broken english and he's not a native speaker makes it harder for him to convey his messages so of course emotions go rampant. idk i feel like you can't be oblivious to these things
