Our local Sheriffs office had a free community program where they'd paint your cat a high-viz high-temp orange and engrave your VIN into it. In Georgia, a legit scrapyard has to have proof of ownership to recycle a cat. Won't stop the actual theft, but they won't get any money from it, and they're less likely to steal it.

Oh...crap! That sucks! I think you are right about the look of it over the fact it's quite resistant. It needs to look like too hard and not worth it. I am still curious for the gunshell contraption, but again, I understand it's the magic of it to keep it secret! I've got a special greeting for thieves on my side-by-side too! Thanks!

Morning Joe😁 I am trying to keep it simple. I am not sure how often I should change the gunshell? If I drive throw the rain will it need to be changed? And how do I test it out without hurting myself😂 I will probably reset it every few months to make sure it’s good to go. I am curious about your side by side setup. I believe MN is close to passing a law making it very hard to easily turn catalytic converters into cash. Nevertheless the would definitely help as a deterrent. Nice job Mitch!! Cheers!

I really like the use of a coat hanger, that is a great idea. It is sad that you have to do this to keep the low life away from it but it looks like it will do the job
