How is Diana hitter if she’s been trash talking her whole career? And she gave praise to Caitlin in the presser. Does it ever occur to you that Diana is doing to also generate attention to the wnba? The more likely thing is here is that an incel white knight simp. You’re too low iq to dig beneath the surface. Pathetic.
@NerdFurie THIS was not a speculation. Fact 1. The Fever are doing MUCH better than their last two seasons combined (or at even), while the sky are about the same. NO SPECULATION, BRUH! Double doubles are a BIG LAUGH, as no one ever cared for such a statistic, and NBA players get them often but they get no such hype for it and rightly so. 2. Reese is long (I didn't say a very tall person but Long) so of course she is going to score and get rebounds. 3. Reese is allowed to travel, carry and foul by the refs (WNBA system) just so she goes ahead in stats above Caitlin (watch some games, they wont box Reese in until after she gets her brainless double doubles). 4. Caitlin is double-teamed much, much more than anyone else and yet she is able to bring The Fever to win against some good teams. 5. Caitlin's Triple Double was against the best team in the WNBA, mind you and, the first rookie to EVER do it. 6. Caitlin's stats are better than any rookie (I think on this one). 7. Caitlin would have many less turnovers if some of her teammates didn't have cream cheese fingers. 8. Caitlin alone made charter flights possible for every team. 9. Caitlin has sold many, many more tickets in every arena she plays in than any other time in the W's history. 10. Caitlin's paraphernalia sells so much more than any other WNBA player. 11. Caitlin, even though she shouldn't need to, must face opposition from the woke main media, the racist main networks, even though she is at this point the ROTY. 12. Caitlin has to play while mentally being targeted with hate by the main media and networks. Caitlin is easily the rightful ROTY at this point.
If anyone wishes to end this treatment against Caitlin Clark all they have to do is BOYCOTT THE WNBA, and I'm sure league RESPECT for her would immediate. If fans do NOTHING this DISSING will only continue.
A bullied person can be a bully, or maybe responding can be a “bully” to some. I hope if caitlin decides to respond the same wavelength to her bullies she would not be label as a bully.
I am not as kind and gracious as CC is.. I think Diana T is just full of herself. It's like she is spoiling herself with her own greatness to the point that the spoil has turned rotten.
And to think CC is only going to get better, just like s.curry , his rookie season was 2009 and it took 5 years to win his 1st NBA Championship. CC just needs to polish up her turnovers and really that's it. I'm happy for this phenom that is CC, she backs up her game with her skills. And shuts the haters up.😂 She does her thing professionally.
It's a simple case of a player underestimating another...there are a lot of people underestimating CC...I think in 6 years she will match the leagues total of 33 triple doubles. That how much transformative legendary player I think she could be... even though she is undersized and white. And that is the same bullshit Larry Bird had to put up with...I really wish the owner and the NBA would beg and Pay Larry to coach Indiana Fever. She could be Larry's daughter he never had!
They hate her because she's proving that the so called great ones in the WNBA are average at best. It's funny that most of them came from dominating colleges and had a lot of help to win those championships. If you put them on the Iowa team Clark had, I doubt they would have even made the sweet sixteen.
It went back further than that. Taurasi was interviewing Clark during her soph or junior year once and Caitin mentioned she used to go Drake games when she was younger. And Taurasi suggested Clark should have went to Drake as a slight I think.
Since DT did give CC her flowers after the game, it hard to call her a hater. Yes, DT joins most of the WNBA players with jealousy and envy against Caitlin.
When someone is better than you when they enter the league it seems the older ones want to hate to say "don't forget about me when I came in the WNBA".
When I listen to Diana Taurasi and her comments in their totality, I don't think she said anything that was egregious. There's a bar that is set at each level that you go to and there is a learning curve and she is absolutely right that Caitlin Clark is still learning to play at that next level. Her statistics are very good and some of the best we've ever seen as a rookie but are definitely less than what she did in college. I love Caitlin Clark and she's the entire reason I'm interested in the WNBA this year but I don't think this is anything different than you see in every other sport when new players come in. If you look back to the excitement and fanfare Michael Jordan got when he came into the league before he had won anything there was a lot, and I mean a lot of resentment and dislike for him and it only went on to make him stronger and quite possibly aided in making him the GOAT. So, I love her final comments about finally getting to see Caitlin Clark and the credit she gives her for just loving the game and playing basketball. I think you throw the gauntlet and make it tough and if they step up as Caitlin Clark did then you give them their props. This is exactly the type of old school approach to earning your place in the league that we cry about not being present in today's NBA.
The 'Jordan" of the WNBA. She matches the hype. She's good...really good! She makes the rest of the players look average, like Jordan did with the league. She sells out arenas and people who don't even watch WNBA watch just to see her. All of this was exactly like Jordan in his younger part of his career where he took the NBA globally. Caitlin will do the same. Caitlin is now the highest standard in the WNBA. The nerve these veteran WNBA players have to even compare their fame to Caitlin. It's not even close! These veterans never knew fame until Caitlin stepped on the court. People could care less about the WNBA before until now.
I don't think she was hating, she treated other the same way. All great players think there the best and should act the way. DT just a trash talker because she feels she a better player. Nothing wrong with being confident in your game. You don't know what you don't know because she has never played her before. I think when they play again she would still trash talk regardless. The greats are always usually trash talkers
Paige has been very publicly supportive to the minority communities within the WNBA. She can expect a friendly reception when she turns pro unlike Caitlin.
Way more assists. Diana turasi has chemistry with her team, 3 Olympians due to chemistry on that team and still lost to the fevers with the worse record in the NBA last year.
@@TheLieDetectorDetermined.. should really check out the box score. It is truly eye opening how much better caitlin clark played in this particularly game than taurasi despite being double and triple teamed. But since youre focused on scoring, cc was also involved in twice as many points than taurasi was. Could say that brittany griner played better though.
I’m all for CC, AR and all these wnba ladies doingtheir thing and maxing potential..just hate that percentile that want to make it about race and throw hate at her and Reese when ever one shines and the other doesn’t. Ccs a guard so getting more touches it’s fairly predictable she will win ROTY . But Angel is having an impressive season too and it’s OKAY folks to cheer for BOTH of them.
wow - I wouldn't go that far - she is certainly jealous but she is neither washed up or a has been. Her ability to stay in the league for 20 years is incredible. I've looked at the leader board and DT is averaging 16.6 pts a game, CC is at 16.1. They are tied for 3 pts made and very close in 3 pts attempted. As a rookie, CC is making her presence felt with her incredible assists total which can only improve as her teammates learn to play at her level and trust her (aka catch her passes). DT knows that CC is creating the excitement and resents that she never managed to bring the fans to the WNBA.
