No but she can be a female equivalent but i say the one closer is luka because hes a slower curry and a threat from everywhere and his defense reminds me of steph curry.
Caitlin Clark is single-handedly creating a respect for the WNBA, changing culture. That is Steph Curry-like id say. Like how Curry changed the way basketball is played.
I’m an Aussie guy, have zero interest in basketball (let alone women’s basketball) and yet I find this Caitlin Clarke incredible to watch. She just look so much more at ease with everything she does on the court and I can see why the current ‘lot’ don’t like her. She’s making them work for their money which I’m guessing they’re not used to.. You can only complain about not getting paid as much as the guys for so long before you have to show why you should be paid more !! This is definitely one of the best summaries of her contributions, achievements, and abilities I’ve seen. Thanks👍
husband speaking age 81.5 I never followed BB games, even in college I wouldn't even go to our schools games. Never even thought of following women's games, even the Seattle Storm which is local. But the news on CC has me watching the highlights of the games. She is super and doesn't hog the ball but is willing to always pass to a team player. Will I ever go to a game, NO, but will follow her on youtube. She has such amazing eyesight to know the weight of the ball and just how much strength to use to sink the shot. Amazing.
She'll trash talk to other players during the game but I've never heard her say anything negative about anyone in front of a microphone and she doesn't toot her own horn. That's class.
Caitliin clark is on another level against these wnba players, the only reason reese has many double stats is because she keeps rebounding her own missed layups
@@Alexander_Grantidk about you but I expect lsu to constantly be in the running for a final four I don't look at Iowa and say “yeah they can win a championship”😂
Caitlyn is the only reason I have ever watched WMBA, she is amazing to watch! Any other player trying to take credit for the increase in viewership is full of crap!
Caitlin Clark is the best player in WNBA right now, she does everything like passing from full court to mid court or behind the back… so fun to watch those magical passes. Shooting from downtown, yes she missed at times but that’s normal. Still she is the best and amazing shooter. And she moves ball while looking to her free teammates. She got a very high IQ in basketball. Now I love watching Fever games because of Caitlin Clark 🎉🎉🎉
Yes everything you say comes to pass when CC is on the court making her magic, especially her passing. She tries to pass to ALL her teammates and gives the credit to them. This is why they praise her during every post-game presser.
9:22 Beautiful example of CCs step-back 3 missile. The gal guarding her (13) seems to say, "ah, forget it! That's just not defendable!" 😕... even before she realizes whether the basket is good or not. And of course, the shot is soooo good. The CC Effect = Call it Curry Class, call it The Clark 3, etc. She definitely has, and is, making such a humongous impact in the WNBA, one that goes beyond her beautiful scoring skills, passing / assists. It's her OVERALL influence for the improvement and enhancement of the entire league. And [off topic] T H A T 'S why she is the 2024 ROY. No questions asked. 😉
Not saying Steph Curry is the GOAT of the NBA, but he has always been my favorite player of all time. Since I've been following Caitlyn throughout her college career I'd say yes, she is the female counter part of SC. It's not just the way they play ball, I love their classy and likable personalities. Most of all, they don't need to talk all that smack to get attention.
@@AntoineWilliams7118 Nah, I don't think Caitlyn would be insulted when being compared to Steph Curry, because she is way too intelligent and realistic, which is way more than I can say about you, based on the bold claims that you posted all over the comments. Do you really think the stats that she produced so far in the WNBA would be the same or better if she hypothetically played in the NBA? Or vice versa, if Steph Curry hypothetically played in the WNBA? Let these questions sink in before you say something else crazy. I'm a Caitlyn fan which I stated in my original post, but I don't share your delusion that she's better than Steph Curry, instead I stated that she is the female counterpart. But hey, it's a free country, you can post whatever you want.
Love the comparison. NBA are not brutal like the WNBA who love the dramas. CC is a goat & good to see her play the game she loves regardless of the trash talking & blatant fouls on her. She’s definitely humble!
Clark just broke the wnba record for assists in a game with 19 assists. The most assists Curry had in a game is 16. I thought Ionescu was a bit like #30 with her 3 point shooting.
There are a lot of great spot up three point shooters, but fewer who can create their own shots. Also, rather than shooting from a few favorite spots on the court, CC can hit from just about anywhere.
There is a fluidity she has that the others don't quite have. But to be fair, her highlight reels are better than the others. But now that she is there making a lot highlight reels ... Because her highlight reels are so good. Other players are getting better highlight reels.
Should we think about integrating some wnba players in the 3 pt contests? That could get interesting...🤔 Shooting is pure skill. Can a woman win with the big boys? Caitlin would be their best chance.
Steph inadvertently saved WNBA, the only for females to be exciting to watch is to Play like Steph curry and Steph playing style is really fitting for WNBA coz dunking like NBA ain't possible
Lmao it's not because she white, with that same logic like Luka and Nikola Jokic would've never won an MVP (okay Luka hasn't won but there's zero doubt that he'll win it next + he's been contenders for like 6 years straight)
I'll admit that I don't know a whole lot about the WNBA since I didn't watch a game until I heard buzz about CC in the NCAA 2024 playoffs. But what seems entirely missing from this assessment is CC ability to pass and find assists. Perhaps she isn't the GOAT in these categories, but when you put it all together, i.e. the shooting, the passing, and the assists, CC sure brings some excitement to the WNBA as she did in the NCAA.
LOL. I don't care a THING about basketball, or sport in general, but this is the third video I have watched of yours. So intriguing! LOL. You tell the stories really well. Great content. Even someone like me just wants to keep on clicking on your videos. :D
CC22 really isn't like Steph Curry. She's a way better passer and play maker. Her deep 3s are special but despite her crushing all time score records in far less games in far less time, her passing is completely and utterly unique in the WNBA.
To be fair Lexie Brown has come around after playing against Caitlin Clark herself. She was talking crazy leading up to the season for sure though lmao, but she's now given Caitlin her flowers. It looks like Caitlin has the potential to revolutionize the WNBA's style of play similar to how Steph Curry did with the NBA. Her run and gun style of play is not only super entertaining, it's super effective against the slowed down out dated style of basketball the WNBA seems to be stuck in.
Never noticed this but the way her teammate just slowly walked up to her laughing after she got pushed down like, even her team isn't on her side. Stay strong CC!
OK, I get it. This video is just about three-pointers. However, that is only one aspect of CC's game that is on another level. She reads the floor. She is a phenomenal passer. She leads in assists. She lifts up her teammates and helps them play better. And she is not so proud of herself that she can't compliment players on other teams.
To me, my favorites baton has been passed from Jordan, Bryant, Curry, Clark/Brink. The competitive humble spirit intrigues and invigorates me. Theres a fine border that these players ride on where they can easily pass as arrogant since theyre so good, but rarely if ever pass it. And always give praise to their peers and predecessors.
If it wasnt for the N BA there would be no WNBA and now with Clark the NBA wont have to bail them out, without Clark bye bye haters and WNBA..She already set for life.
One big difference: Steph has shot over 40% from 3 in every season he‘s played except for 1, where he‘s shot 38% (I‘m not counting the season he‘s obly played in 5 games). CC is at around 33% right now. She‘s great for the WNBA, she has great range and gravity, but I think the numbers warrant a comparison to someone like Trae Young rather than Steph.
Your stats are a little off but you're right she's more of a Trae than a steph. (Steph shot 24% in 2020 when he played 5 games, and 38% the year he won the title in 2022)
Keep in mind WNBA shooting is usually worse than NBA shooting. The WNBA expectations for an exceptional FG% is indeed lower than NBA's. So she's the Female version of Steph Curry in the WNBA based on the FG% of that league.Trae Young also never had this type of impact. It's closer to Curry's than Trae's.
Dear Sir, I would like to hear from you about NBA expansion. A certain writer posted an article about this subject and mentioned among other expansion teams Mexico Montreal London Can I hear your side of the matter and kindly tell us How could NBA maintain the league's quality...of course the economics I can foresee is good And mention also Tokyo and Shanghai if someday NBA will consider them. May I respectfully hear from you. With best regards. Thank you.
Personally, I would love to see the NBA go global. Have the largest cities in the world have teams. It would change the traditional NBA, but it would be the future of the sport.
I commend Caitlin for now rearranging a few jaws with straight overhand rights. The envy is despicable, and yet, she shows class and sportmanship. Keep at it. Some legends become such at young age.
Caitlin and Steph had a lot of similarities. Steph is a skinny, wimpy little guard when he's in college, just like Caitlin, but they've shown us the best example of "don't judge a book by its cover." Skinny beats rip bods; that's why they are so mad. I go lift hundreds of weights to play at my highest level, and this skinny little kid just does that to me? My ego hurts through my soul, man! "Lebron". I don't say particularly Lebron, but with his stature, it will hurt if a skinny kid beats you.
She's incredible but not every night she's going to be hot from 3s she has to work on mid range shooting or look to get some fouls to be a complete player
i rather like to call her the female michael jordan, based on how fun she is to watch and basketball IQ also because she's basically the only reason the wnba is relevant after a long time and the insane increase in popularity she's like a true professional. i normally despise hype for players, games, artists etc. but here you can see an actual proof for the hype
You think she’s had an impact on the World? I haven’t watched any basketball for 40 years because I found no excitement in the game - until Kaitlin Clark got to the struggling WNBA. She put spark into the game for me. All of basketball has benefited from her presence as more people than ever are watching now.
I know a lot of people think that a better comparison is trey young but her game is more centered around here passing making her game neither like curry's nor like trey's. But since here demeanor off the court is so similar to curry's, i think the comparison is warranted.
Years from now, the harsh critics and dirty players who did their stinks on Caitlin Clark will never be heard from again. Their names will never be mentioned or known... while Caitlin Clark will go down in history as the Greatest Player in the WNBA and her name will forever be ingrained into the WNBA history and basketball fans all over the world. They will have statues of her and awards named after her.
She dribbles around and thru defenses. She passes accurately. Should go to free throw line more...her drives to the basket and 3 point shooting are going to just get better. She is a 5 tool player..She is ROTY hands down ....
I am at 1:25 but it must be off ball movement right? That together with super quick release and possible 10 3s in a game + dangerous passing will create the gravitas needed 🙂

Caitlin Clark is HER OWN PERSON. MORE WELL ROUNDED THAN ANY OTHER BASKETBALL PLAYER IN HISTORY.. SHE RISES FAR BEYOND ANY OTHER PLAYER EVER!! NO OTHER PLAYER BROKE SO mANy NCAA RECORDS. PEOPLE SHORT SELL CAITLIN COMPARING HER TO ANYOne ELSE!! THERE IS NO ONE TO COMPARE HER TO.....she has Revitalized her whole league, while taking more punishment in history from other players...No one has done what she has Done!! And she is Just getting Going!! People NEED TO ACKNOWLEDGE CAITLIN AS THE BEST BASKETBALL PLAYER EVER, MALE OR FEMALE!! Hands down!!
There is no doubt that she can play, but it's not a race, it's a marathon, with the numbers she has her rookie season in the NBA, how will she be able to surpass them ? I think she should slow down a bit and rely on her teammates a bit more.
In her WNBA rookie season, Caitlin Clark has not relied so much on 3-point shooting. Rather, her combination of pinpoint passing and opportunistic scoring is making her the female Larry Bird.
It's much closer to compare her to Larry Legend because of her impact on viewing. Larry Bird and Magic Johnson saved the NBA in much the same way Caitlin is affecting the WNBA. The only reason I even care about the WNBA is this young lady. It's fair to compare her three shooting to Curry, but her impact on fans and bringing viewers in is more like Bird, Magic , and even Jordan.
Know why Caitlin doesn’t cry baby about getting blindsided by jealous players ? Grew up playing against her brothers and boys so it’s tough to intimidate her . Biggest issue is if she gets injured by some cowardly backside attack from a fellow player . Her teammates need to stop this instantly because it will affect them and their team directly .
Just like steph, she's not extremely athletic...but she's quick, has good handle, and seems one move ahead all the time. She's the basketball version of "football fast" like an Ed Reed or a Jerry Rice.
How do you know she not athletic....Do you know how fast she can run the 100 meters? High Jump? Throw the shot? Bench Press? Throw the Javlin? These stats have not been made public. Not athletic?... Shes in better shape than 90% of the woman who are bordering on fat in the league.
It's quite baffling how a player that is so good would be looked over for the Olympics, but at least she got the chance to beat them before they went to Olympics..
People will see in this video that Caitlin Clark could have talk bad about Diane. Caitlin Clark chosen to take high road. Diana really talk bad about Caitlin. It show how great a person that Caitlin Clark is not talk bad back about Diana. That why people like Caitlin Clark because Caitlin Clark doesn't get involved talking bad about people, even when people talking bad about her.
In school the 3 pointers were 2 we shot like. Layups two hand like nothing all did just not a few. I had a friend shot the light out he did not like the game he would play
...i don't like basketball anymore... BUT NOW I DO!!! (...from the Philippines) ...( the end of the video almost made me shed a tear... a tear ,... !! )
She will have to get 60 points and as the point guard she is that will probably not happen. But never say never and I don’t think she pays attention to the stats until she is told about them.
