I LOVED how the camera kept returning to the loudmouths who were so vocal yelling "overrated" and were eventually silenced by Caitlin draining one shot after another. They were looking pretty sheepish towards the end. 🤣🤣🤣
Anyone playing on the team facing Clark would have to be ready to jump into the stands and choke people who are pissing her off. It's bad enough playing the best without giving them more motivation.
Did you go to high school? First off, they're kids. Second, every great player gets "overrated" chanted at them. Trash talk in general is a huge part of sports. The great ones feed on it

And you wannabe Danny DeVito asking this person went to high School has nothing to do with the "over rated chant" since that goes on at many levels of play. The point being made is that Clark took The Dump on The Chanters.
And now some people in that crowd are going to say how they had the pleasure of watching her in high school and how they knew she would great one day. Amazing.
Of course they will and there’s nothing wrong with that. The taunting is part of the game even if you know you’re facing greatness. I’d be kissed if my friends wouldn’t do something like that. As long as it’s good, clean natured gamesmanship, it’s perfectly fine.

Rodney Jordan Did you see the interview with her dad? I think it was after their sweet 16 win. He had her in rec leagues as soon as he realized she was special because she was kicking all the boy's asses, and she was only 5. They moved to WDM where there was competition, and by 6th grade, she was on AAU teams all through high school. Before college, she was on a U19 international team with Paige Bueckers and Hailey Van Lith, VL was her roommate, and their coach was Jeff Walz from Louisville. The girls brought home gold. Other coaches gave up on her because she already planned on being a Hawkeye. We get to have her for 2 more years!! I have never seen someone this good, men or women, and I've watched a lot of basketball over the last 40 years.

They were just supporting their team and trying to get into her head. I was hoping they'd come up with a cheer later to acknowledge her greatness. She might have even acknowledged that one, but it was great how she just played her game and gave them no notice. What's MUCH WORSE than those kids is when ADULTS do this kind of stuff at kids games.

Highly highly over rated and she knows it. People blowing her head up and she's not worthy of it. When you score 105 like Cheryl Miller then you can call her one of the best ever. Cheryl Miller changed the sport for women ballers. Clark is good but so are alot of others too. She's not even close to Miller level.
Cheryl Miller was tremendous, no question about it. But women's basketball in generally is so, so much better know than it was 30+ years ago, so as good as Cheryl Miller was, she would not score like she did in her day, just like Wilt Chamberlain (one of my all time favorites) would not come close to averaging 50 points a game in today's NBA.

Really not seeing very much defense on her. Also, very few buckets in the paint. She's basically a really good 3 pt shooter and that's it. Her handles aren't that good. For women's basketball she's good. But let's not pretend for a second she could beat any male college basketball player.
