You know what the Ballsy move would be? If CC were to show up at the Olimpics and conspicuously cheer on the Team USA that Snubbed her. That would turn her into CCC Classy Caitlin Clarke. She is already Classy. This would write that in stone.
When selected to the Olympic team as players who had 0 games iof NBA, experience Shaq, 'zo & Laettner were not top 15 players yet either. It was however the right move.
The whole thing about “PRO-frssional” athletes playing on an Olympic team which is supposed to be for amateurs, or at least for non-professionals. How the NBA players and now WNBA players are playing on the Olympic teams seems to be a travesty.
Taurasi was a rookie and took the spot of a veteran on her first USWNT and her stat line was similar to CC’s today… and CC’s stat line is better than Taurasi’s is this year. So tell me again why CC is not on this team but DT is???
With all the drama CC just stays classy and gracious and plays basketball, adjusting to a new team that isn't very good and a league that doesn't seem to want her.
Catlin Clark's time will come. She just came off a college championship then right to the WNBA. And I think she should just finish the WNBA season, take some time away from basketball get some well deserved rest. Then come back stronger than ever next season. As for the Olympics her time will come for her to shine in the future. Her future is brightest before her. Keep your chin up Catlin ok?
If Caitlin Clark plays for other country, its gonna be a big insult to the USA Team.. and that won't be her fault anyway.. it would be the WNBA's fault..
Honestly I don't think Clark should have been selected for the Team USA roster. She's a great player already but a rookie and barely started her professional career and believe the selections were made months ago. Will she be a future Team USA member? Most likely but let her build on her professional career before moving onto a Team USA appearance.
