If the WNBA could create some villains like LeBron or are in football like Tom Brady or the Cowboys, etc, the WNBA could grow some. It won’t ever be bigger than the NBA, but it can definitely be better than it is now. I think it’ll be hard to create villains in the WNBA because that means sports analyst would now have to constantly pick apart a female athlete’s game on why they’re not the goat or one of the greatest. I don’t think the current media is ready to have too much negative connotation on a woman athlete, even if it’s in a positive light, trying to discuss who the best is. It can only be uplifting.
