Very little is left to this magical Christmas 2019, so much awaited also in Calabria, where ancient traditions are renewed, including those related to the preparation of typical and expected delicacies. Thus we dedicate ourselves to the preparation of traditional zeppole, called "Zippuli" in Calabrese dialect.
So today I bring you this ancient and still very current recipe, prepared in a simple way and how it was made in ancient times ... the procedure is very easy as you will see.
Only a few ingredients are needed and you're done
It can be filled in as many ways as with anchovies, 'nduja etc., and can also be made with chestnut flour (it is best done always with this flour as well) which in this case I did not have

1kg flour
800ml water
150gr boiled potatoes
15gr yeast
Salt to taste
1,5lt oil for frying
anchovies about 100gr (if you want to do it also with them)
