Eh i hate IB (DP). but you know what they say, "No pain no gain". thanks for the vid Alex I've got this test tomorrow and your video saved my sorry ass.
I'm confused about magnification. Is it LENGTH or AREA, like for example 1mm x 1mm object. It has 1mm² area. Now if I magnify it on a microscope using 1000x magnification. Will it be a or b ? a. 1000mm x 1000mm or equal to 100cm x 100 cm or 1 meter x 1 meter. That means I will see a 1 meter x 1 meter object in the ocular lens of the microscope. b. 1000 mm², that means the object would appear as big as 3.16 cm x 3.16 cm if seen through the ocular lens of the microscope.
It is difficult to measure actual size of object and it is in terms of micro metre instead of this we can measure the focal length of lens and can find magnification Formula M.P.=D/F where is 25 cm... It is useful for optical microscope....not for electron microscope..
