We are proud to have Caleb Hanna as an OPST ambassador. Caleb's knowledge of the Skagit river and of the casting and gear that bear its name far exceed what you would expect from someone his age. Caleb fishes over 250 days a year and takes his gear very seriously. In this video he breaks down the reasons that he likes to fish Commando Heads, especially in tough to fish spots like the high bank in this video. The short length of the Commando Head makes for a small D loop that you can cast almost anywhere. Caleb also shares some tips on how to cast the line, and how to position yourself on high banks to effectively keep your line off the bank.
