So true! If these people love the communism, they should stay in California for good, don’t make themselves like China virus being contagious to the rest part of the country.
Aw.. But what if I want to feel good about contributing to society? Can't I ask elected officials to add regulatory and tax burden on us as every now and then?
I think many are just moving to get out of high price rent and the word got out that you can actually afford homes in Texas. No more high rent with homeless living everywhere! Then theres those who own a measles shack that is worth way more than it should. So they sell and go buy a nice big home in texas twice the size with better amenities or just amenities in general! I know people leaving other states than California to head to Texas shortly! CALIFORNIA is just charging way too much for homes and rent is way to high! I wish you Texans luck! I'm just glad I left 20 years ago.
Wait till big tech moves in at greater numbers, increasing property values astronomically where native Texans wont even be able to afford to live there. The new breed will bring their politics, and the people who vote for them in no time. California used to be a Republican stronghold, and not unlike Texas until about the 80's with regard to economics, policies, and a general independent way of life. Once Hollywood became Hollyweird, silicon valley swallowed California's economy whole, and Chinese influence and global industrial trade policies consumed American businesses, California and many other places lost it's shine. Texas is just a place, but a grand place because of the breath of its scope and the independence of its people. Make no mistake, any place no matter how grand can become just another shit show run down part of the country to live in if this California migration trend continues to spread into Texas and other parts of the country.
@@erob52 from what I hear you guys got the gun rights how they should be. That may play a big factor aswell for leaving California along with all the agreeable comments you previously made. Hopefully your gun laws will keep the criminal mischief to a min. Or nonexistence!
They took over Austin, my hometown for 38 years. Texans left Austin because the Californians caused houses and taxes to go through the roof. I moved to better place in Texas (I'll never tell).
Every time I see a California license plate I just roll my eyes. To the people in California you made your bed you should lie in it. Texas will never be the same with these people here.
@@malvolio01 thank god, they probably realized democrats suck at management and that's why they're moving to a red stare right? Since they're so smart and all.
They’re just experiencing what Oregon has put up with for years and years. Now we’re the proud home of Antifa, record homeless, mail in ballots, and sky rocketing housing costs.
This is exactly what I just thought. California real estate moguls already know everyone leaving california, so they will run to your state buy up as much real estate as they can and mark the prices up for the newcomers. They do it here, and they will bring their habits to your state. Your future children might have the same problem as california. Too high of rents that average jobs can't pay for. Let's hope your state doesn't have too many regulations so you can build alot of housing to keep the prices affordable.
why can't these tech companies go to Louisiania, Arkansas, Missisippi, Kansas and Alabama instead and leave Texas alone, they're not going to hire the local work force anyway.
They act like this just started. I dated a guy in Austin TX backnin 2009 who had made the move from San Diego two years prior. Texas will end up a shit hole too once they all move there.
As a native New Yorker, the army brought me here 12 years ago. I love Texas and everything about it. If you come to Texas, please don’t make it like the state you left.
Too late.. once moved there that property value has increased and will then soon leave neighborhoods too expensive for Texans to afford... it's the rich not Californians or Texans that are the problem
California is a very beautiful place, but voters put in terrible politicians. I loved living in San Diego when I was there. It was not uber-liberal at that time. Also, now prices are through the roof, in part because so many foreigners and very wealthy Americans buy their second, third, fourth homes on the California coast and the average American workers are outpriced. It's sad. Liberal/foreign/elite/uberwealthy are destroying California dreamin'.😓
@@davidtrevino5211 As a Texan, shut up. Canada isn’t socialist, it’s a democratic nation with a large social safety net. Learn what a socialist country really is, not to mention Canada is doing pretty fine. You’re saying what you and the others in your echo chamber are saying, that’s not speaking for us.
@Alien West dude, that sounds exactly like what's happening here. I live 2 hours South of Toronto (near Niagara Falls). A peaceful small town, very laid back and lots of land. At least it used to be. The housing market was cheap here. Then everyone from the city found out about it and sold their tiny houses in the city for a million dollars and bought mansions down here for $500K, leaving them with no mortgage and a half million spending money. Totally smart move and I can't fault them for it. I have no problem with them buying the houses for that. But now whats happened is since our town is small, doesn't generate a lot of revenue (closest hospital is 30 mins away), so now they're selling all of their land to big developers and making tons of cookie cutter subdivisions and driving out the wildlife, and now the rent went from $700 a month to average of $1300. The houses used to be 1-200K and now it's double or triple that. The people who lived here can't afford to live here. And watching the town get sold to developers is heart breaking.
Yep!... That is exactly what happened to Oregon & Seattle WA and it happened very quickly!... Our states have been devastated, housing cost is through the roof, homes are WAY OVER PRICED HERE, families displaced, communities shattered and we constantly have to listen to Californians complain about all the rain we get here and how cold it is!... SMDH!... 🙄
History repeats it self, natives got kicked out when europeans came. How does that good ol American saying go, “get over it” same thing is happening now
That’s what has taken place in Colorado. Californicators. They promote the same ideas they left California for. It’s like a cancer spreading across our country.
So, what's your solution, then? What state isn't affected more and more by liberal nut-cases? How would you solve this problem? Build walls? Deny people with California DL? Have a civil war, liberal vs conservative or, Republicans vs democrats?

As long as they don't bring their West Coast politics which means there democrats make shouldn't be blood come to Texas if there not gonna be a Democrat and liberal we don't want him
That's my biggest issue with the influx of Californians: the way they congest the highways. Second is the impact on housing costs. Humans can't do anything in moderation. We go overboard every time. It won't be much longer until DFW is no better than the major metro areas in CA. Californians are literally saturating, smothering and clogging up the cities in Texas and making them loathsome places to drive/work/live.
To be fair…. It only became this way in the past 18 years. Before 2002 houses all over Texas were Fifth thousand or less. But with the infix of People that keep moving to taxes. The prices will go up and the Jobs wages stay low.

Is that because of the recent cold weather disaster? If so, Ive been living in Dallas all my life and we never experienced blackouts until now. I live in Texas and I'm honestly torn between wanting to move to Houston because I can find a resort style home out there still under $300k and I'm also looking at living somewhere that's between major cities in Florida by the beach. I'll probably end up getting both and invest everywhere in both states but I'm just split on great weather with beautiful beaches with Florida and the complexity, economy, and diversity that is Texas.
Don’t worry... it’ll turn into Classic Golden State 2.0 real quick! Not that anyone likes that. Just look at the 2020 election, it was wayyyy too close! Everyone will probably move to Florida next lol

No you can't just go another state and try to make it like the one you just left. As a Texan I feel there is going to be conflict in the beginning and people who moved from California scared as they don't have the same things that left behind, an example would weed which is not legal in Texas other than medical which is difficult to get.
Contrary to what Texans think, your state isn't Californians first choice; Californians have been moving to Washington and Oregon (central especially) for many decades and now Idaho is exploding with population growth for the same reasons. Personally, having lived in Texas and Oklahoma earlier in life, I can't choke down 3% property tax in Dallas no matter how much you try and sell the experience to me. My words to anyone thinking about moving to Texas: check the weather and check the property taxes right after you notice how the housing market is so much less. I still remember what snow in the morning and 75° in the afternoon is like and tornado warnings. A great example of how things can go wrong is Bend Oregon, where there's very few professional level job's that support the astronomical housing costs since everyone brought their California money with them, but its a very nice community despite no way to make a living. The same thing will happen to these Texas communities with the best job being a realtor.
In addition to size, Texas is also the second largest state in terms of electoral votes (38 to California’s 55), and if the 2020 election is any indication, it may turn blue in 2024 (for the first time since 1976).

@Muhammad Sheikh Whenever you have a HUGE increase in population, taxes have to go up to build out the infrastructure to serve all those people. Roads, schools, police, fire, etc.
I'm a transplant to Denver and a lot of Californians also came here. Natives are quite nice to me and talk shit about Californians all the time. They pretty much said "we don't hate them moving here, he just hate them for taking our beautiful homes away from natives". It's understandable when a house that worth $200k 5 years ago suddenly sold for $500k and when I took a drive in the nice neighborhood, most of them still have California plates on their cars. It make the native kinda angry.
@@timothywells9813 What are you talking about? The politicians people voted in have passed highly aggressive lockdowns for months, decimating business. @Denise Eugene most of those problems are in Democratic cities within the state. Those areas include New Orleans, Baton Rouge, Shreveport, Jackson, Little Rock, and Louisville.
@Denise Eugene while those states are poor as a whole, the lack of economic success in the bigger cities are affecting rural areas too. And yes those governors should be doing a better job in terms of managing their state. Atleast they aren’t doing what the Governor of California has been doing.
Realtors told me recently, the property values keep going up, if you don't buy a house by this year, you will not be able to find a decent house for the price. It will be like California, $100K will barely get you a shed.
People fail to mention that a LOT of wealthy, educated liberal Texans move to California and displace working class natives with very little money who may or may not relocate to Texas. A lot of the people moving to California are from states such as Texas, New York, Connecticut, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, North Carolina. When they get here they influence politics and next thing you know streets start getting blocked off, building permits become harder to come by, taxes go up, $10 avocado toasts become a thing, non-white folks become "minority" and "marginalized" people (Identity Politics), BLM and BLM signs in affluent neighborhoods become a thing. It's much easier dealing with the poor Mexicans that come and work the farms, restaurants, or construction companies because usually they're busy working and keeping their mouths shut...

I’m a California native by choice living in Idaho. Lived in San Antonio 1994-2001. There’s good reasons to leave CA for TX. California is run by elected sociopaths, unelected bureaucrats, and big businesses. All for their own benefit. They’ve ruined the California I grew up in.
Screw that! 6 months of nasty, hot humid weather and constantly being eaten alive by bugs! You have to live in constant air conditioning. You literally cannot enjoy the outdoors, unless you like living in a sauna.
As a Californian I can confirm your concern. These Snowflakes are going to end up destroying Texas. The end result will be high taxes, homeless everywhere, and criminals having more rights than a law abiding citizen. Yes, Texas will eventually become a true libtard utopia. What a sad situation......for both of us.
I am from California and a lot of people who I know who moved to Texas were the ones who didn’t like CA laws and already had a Texas state of mind. However the neighborhoods of where I am located are empty because Californians are leaving yet they are being filled up within a month from people from other states.
I love to hear about people leaving my state. To me , It would be far better with fewer residents . Just a note, When you go please don't change your mind and come back. Make California great again by leaving.
I remember when I was going to move to the US a while back I was offered 2 jobs, one in Silicon Valley, the other in Texas. The Silicon Valley one was paying twice what the Texas job paid, but the agent told me “sounds crazy but the Texas job even at half the salary is a much better deal than Silicon Valley”. Guess that speaks for itself.
@@Blocphace It speaks volumes actually. A 4 bedroom house in Silicon Valley is 1.6 million vs. 300k in a major Texas city. Gasoline is $4.50 a gallon in Silicon Valley and $2.25 in Texas. Tolls in the Bay Area from the suburbs to SF can be around $10 depending which bridges you take vs. $2.50 on average in Texas. When you factor in the California state tax on top of federal vs. no state income tax in Texas it becomes very clear that the cost of living is outrageous in California for most people. Only those earning very high salaries don't mind.
I highly doubt any agent stated that. Agents job was to pump real estate in Cali at the time, not Texas. Unless you had a rogue agent trying to sell you property in Texas before the hedge funds even started to pump it, which is unlikely as well.
Texas should be happy to have Californians moving there. That gives them someone besides themselves to blame their problems on. I guess Californians are to blame for the snow too.
It's a reality check, Texans that have deep roots and new roots in this country and state. The migration of Californians moving from a mess with a higher standard of living has increased at a nightmarish cost the property of land Destroying the dreams of immigrants that come "Of hard work is rewarding" will now have to work even harder. Taxes for kin to pay taxes for land that was once cheap will be an increased burden. Even bought through a reasonable investment, Land in Texas is now the strongest dollar. I say this as I have been all over the state in the last six months and at every feed store, bar and hotel it's the same story. Modern-day carpet baggers are invading us with the aid of local enterprisers.
@Chidi Akara surrereeeee will stay in Cali and keep my politics to myself love my blue state but isn’t that why we live in the good ole USA 🇺🇸 to be free and share our politics. I’d rather live in a van in Cali than move to Texas but that’s just my blue state political views right.
Welcome to Bend Oregon, or any number of places in Washington, Idaho or Colorado. The problem is that the local jobs don't support the cost of living anymore , unless your a realtor, since everyone brought their money with them. The fresh windfall of property tax revenue sure ends up building some nice schools, libraries and parks though...ha, ha, ha.
California is turning into a homeless encampment state every city here especially the ones near San Francisco , Oakland and Los Angeles has high number of homeless encampment. Not to mention high crime rate and lots of illegal dumping where where it looks like a scrap yard. Also with high cost of housing where you have to make 6 figures just to afford a single bedroom apartment. School system is a mess where its overcrowded and doesn't have quality education anymore. Cities are turned into a sanctuary cities where illegals, criminals and drug addicts take over. I am sorry to say this but I have been living in California for over 30 years and it has gotten worse. The current state officials are pretty much blind where they ignore the social problems but instead favor only to the rich.
California is turning into a homeless state? wtf is that all the homeless people live in springville california, just in that area but little do you know they don’t make messes like Mexico homeless people but Texas are just so stupid sometimes neither the roads there are messy
Orange County is a very experience county to live in. There are many places to live in CA where the national average income will get you by. Good luck in Texas enjoy the humidity and lovely weather hahah
As a Californian. Texas looks great for affordable home prices and the BQQ. But honestly I don't want any Californians to move and ruin Texas. Especially the population has flopped in CA while in Texas is surging, (I don't want population in Texas to surpass California, unless if less Californians move to Texas). Politics are already a big joke in the state along with the prices being extremely high, a lot of crimes, and homelessness in the LA area especially since Garcetti made LA a joke. I fear that home prices could be the same price as California by 2030, and they could try to make Texas Blue again for the first time ever since J. Carter. I really hope Texas doesn't follow the same footsteps as California in terms of politics and the population growth.
I'm in Cali trying to move to Texas and I gotta remind these dummies to NOT vote the way they did in Cali. Now I'm trying to look elsewhere that is hard RED
Kovid Goon. trust me, it is not a matter of blue or red. There is a macroeconomic fallout, only time will make them unite again as one economy; meanwhile, it is going to be difficult for everyone.
Washingtonians have been experiencing this for decades, welcome to the club. Ask someone in Boise Id or Bend Oregon if this is also a problem. Texas always thinks its special, like its some kind of utopia. I got one personal experience that summarizes my feeling of living in Texas: Snow in the morning; 75° in the afternoon, nooooo thanks.
Have two good friends that moved to Austin, but the weather difference would be a tough change for me. I love mountain and road biking, but summer temps in the high 90’s and above plus humidity don’t sound that appealing to me, which is a shame because I’d do it otherwise
And the reason why Texas is a blessed state is because we are still kneeling looking for God, and God is merciful and he bless us and the land we live in.
Well I’ll say WHY I won’t move to Texas. You all see that open land, yeah, all that open land BELONGS TO SOMEONE! I was born and raised in Texas, lived in a big house with open land around me. The minute I would take my dirt bike into that open land, there was always some neighbor ready to put a stop to my fun and remind me that I was trespassing. California has a lot of open land that belongs to the state. Land for hiking, enjoying your dirt bike in the open desert or just going surfing at a city beach, open land that no one will lecture you that you are trespassing. There is nothing much to do in Texas, it is a very short list compared to California. That’s why if you move to Texas, you better buy yourself a huge beautiful house because you will be spending all your time in there and get ready for any “public improvement development” taxes. People in California are giving the middle finger to state government and their shutdown, law enforcement won’t even enforce many of the laws imposed. I feel I have more freedom in California than I will ever feel In Texas.
Your right about that! Ca has many places to visit. That’s why everybody is moving here. From theme parks, beaches Lakes, National parks, Sight seeing. The list goes in Vegas isn’t that far away either. I visit a few times a year. Years back they’re were people moving from Texas to California 2 of my neighbors are from Texas. A co worker of mine is from is from Texas. 💁♂️
Have fun with the fires burning from Mexican drug cartels farming your open land into hundreds of millions of dollars of marijuana and hope not to run into them in that open land to see them and you not be the authorities because just like an episode of Breaking Bad your life may be in danger. Have fun in a wealthy state that's so greedy that they can't focus on getting that problem solved and money towards it to people who are willing to get it out of there state for a problem that's worsening there and that's just that problem in Cali.
I’m ready to move out of Houston because the home prices are surging. If I can keep working remotely, I’m moving to rural west Texas where the prices haven’t gone through the roof in the last year.
just hope that they'll start taking the high, high density housing centered in the loop and cause the prices to balance out for everyone else. Focus at least 50% of that growth in the highest density areas and developments.
