i feel like this is true. i am biracial and not even american and i don't even live in the US . I just "got it". but the funny part is , since i speak 3 african languages i can actually find words with exact same modern meanings. I figure african americans translated african sentences in english . your famous " Have a few seats" . I remember my grand grand mother in southern african say it. Black americans skillfully added layers to english that these days are copied by the British even .
Curtis Yes that was their point and it was comedic. I'm proud of my culture and how wide spread it is in the USA. The fact that a good portion of that slang originated from the other side of the country and spread is both fascinating and special. But that point isn't comedic. Oh and I'm proud I got everything too.
