1:32 - Hearing this on the last mission as you're taking out the German tanks with the Flak 88 and Bazooka... brings back a ton of memories. This is awesome.
Does anyone else think that this game when there is a full game in multiplayer it really gives you that war feeling better than any other cod? (if the players aren't 9 year old team killers and actually play the game properly.)
I hate the fact that this game is console exclusive. I want to try playing it on pc, too. I mean, emulator is good and all but still, I want the legit port
that game wasn't that good. first , why only in France? i would have loved to see other conflicts elsewhere. not enough of gun variety, no handguns like Walther, 1911 , Browning , Enfield etc. a too short campaign too, maybe not that bad but it really deserve to say underrated.
I remember playing it, I became fascinated by the World War 2 because of this single game, Goodbye old friend, I'll miss you so much, the fun we had, I remember me jumping and screaming when the Germans came to Chambois (Final mission)... No kidding, I'm crying now, so many memories... God knows how much I enjoyed play this game, I salute you, my brothers, all of you that finished this game more than 10 times because you never got bored or angry, you are the true Call of Duty players!
Daniel Sinks " Here's the mission. We're on a secret mission to get coffee and doughnuts. Problem is, the drank all the coffee and ate all the doughnuts, so we need to go kick their asses." "Or we can just stay at the base and have some of those nice French rolls they got!"
@@sovietonion2031 except this game is actually based on ww2. Cod ww2 is filled with black german female snipers running around and screaming in your ears. The campaign was just generic and sucked balls. Cod 3 was the shit and still is. Its a shame nowadays such games cannot be recreated due to political correctness. Creativity and historical accuracy don't exist no more...
yes it is! omg i watched my brother play this when it first came out and we were so freakin excited after the final mission on his first playthrough of the game. (it was on hard too!!) we couldn't stop talking about how epic it was!!
Guzzo : ''Im guzzo one rule your no good to me dead'' Private : ''what kind of pep talk was that?'' Huxley : ''want some inspiration private? Read a poem''
At the time I played COD3 (2009), I remember thinking “no shit you’re Guzzo, you’ve been here the whole fucking game, did you think I wouldn’t recognise you?”.
Today we're going on a mission to get coffee and donuts. The problem is the Germans drank all the coffee and ate all the donuts so now we gotta go kick their asses.
What I love about the old WW2 COD titles is that they weren’t just focused on The American western front. They were focused on the other campaigns as well. Something that CoD ww2 (2017) was sorely missing was more fronts.
Well, if that what you wish, at least Vanguard would focus on more widespread nationalities and fronts like an Aussie in North Africa, a Russian in Eastern Front, a Brit in Western Front and an American in the Pacific. But that remains to be seen of course.
@@radjadawamindra697 to be honest what i like about this game is that you start as a normal soldier with low experience. Unlike Vanguard that somehow make you a special super secret agent
Listening to the theme in the final moments of the Chambois mission is glorious and gives that heroism feeling. For me, no other Call Of duty game will ever top the experience I had with COD 3, simply the best.
Now COD is too multiplayer focused. And it's sad. I actually liked the first two Modern Warfare games until MLG stuck it's ugly head in, filling the game with 5 year olds and "Major League Gamers" making the entire game lose it's theme. Really, Call of Duty was on par with Battlefield up until MW2 when Battlefield got it's theming and it felt like you were in a real battle, meanwhile MW2 lost it. At least MW2 had a good campaign, unlike a CERTAIN new COD.
Many forget about where COD came from. It's because of titles like this one and the ones before it, games like Advanced Warfare and Black Ops exist. Also I appreciate the more realistic and down to earth feel to the older games. Nowadays it all feels so... Unrealistic.
Rip Joel Goldsmith. Never knew he died. 19 November 1957 - 29 April 2012. He also did a bunch of the music for Stargate SG-1. No wonder that and this sound familiar!
Me too, i remember when i went to the Airborne Museum at St mère l'Église, with my school, and and I was the only one to know some things about weapons, due to CoD games (with ww2, not the shits like modern warfare), Medal of honor and some research about ww2 weapons and history
***** i know the feeling, i studied world war 2 for a while when i was young since i was interested in it, then today in class, my teacher asked who we were fighting in world war 2, everyone didn't say anything in this awkward moment of silence, so i had to step up and say it
Connor Kenway I love how, in the bonus material section, they actually include a profile and short description of each weapon and military vehicle used in the game. Taking extra steps like that shows that the devs knew what they were doing and were passionate about their work. New CoDs make me want to vomit at the lack of care or sense.
I was playing Black Ops 3, and couldn't help and wonder why I didn't feel anything for the characters, especially "Player", I'd rather have COD go back to the silent heroes than that "Player" shit. When all those characters died in BO3 I felt nothing, when Isabel died in COD3 I was like WTF NO! ISABEL NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!
+The Wumbologist "Is it him?" "Look at the tank. It's Richter's number!" "This is the one. The swinia who drove us from the motherland." *spits* "Papa, I thought you'd be happier." "Who says I'm not?" "They'll give you a promotion for this." "They'll give us all promotions for this!" They were, without a doubt, my favorite characters in the whole series. They had personality, something lacking in the recent "games" in the series. If you think that BO3 was a good game, please, play the series from the start and you'll see that the last 3 games were utter shit.
@@quadnod4605 The low T beta males and Shrieking kids will likely never see that comment... Spending hours watching Fagnite on RU-vid. You already have the game why the hell do you need to watch it?!
Crazy fact, lol at the salty children above me being angry at the new generation enjoying newer games. I pray my kids don't grow up to be like these bitter, pathetic cunts. Great trip down memory lane.
Brian Klug He didn't die, he got shot but not dead, because at the end in the truck when Guzzo gave the popular 'Rule one" you can see him in the truck either across from you or near you.
Cod 2 and Cod 3 are the most underrated Cod’s of all time in my opinion, right before the rise of Cod4 which made Cod to what it is now crazy. To bad Cod ain’t the same no more.
Best CoD to ever exist. Incredible multiplayer, contains vehicles, incredibly nice campaign, some of the best graphics I've ever seen in a video game, and massive maps. 11/10.
Great soundtrack, great characters, great levels. Severely underappreciated. 10/10 would get shot through the ground while prone on the Canadian factory mission again.
This game is what me into writing WW-2 era books, and went through all the difficulties in that game over 20 times now, but I still Iove the main theme for this game.😅
Same, I was hoping COD WWII would live up to the legacy of COD 2 and 3, but I was kinda disappointed. Would love to see another COD set in the Pacific Campaign.
just went back to see if anyone played call of duty 3....i see many lobbies almost full! this game is probably my favorite call of duty ever and its so heart warming to see people still play this game online :) btw.... I had one hell of a good time playing online!
The Top 5 Call Of Duty games: Call Of Duty 2 Call Of Duty 3 Call Of Duty: World At War Call Of Duty 4 Call Of Duty While this is mainly my personal opinion, I did take in consideration the quality (length, character development, if/how much it was accurate to historical events that unfolded) of the campaign, multiplayer and how well thought and worked on the game was on general.
Jesus man 2006! I was 11 when this game came out! I never heard this theme until now because I didn't get until cod until 2007 when cod 4 came out. Definitely one of the best themes in the series!
I played this game when I was younger on the wii. I never was able to beat the game on the wii because I was on the mission where it introduces you to the driving because my joystick thing (idk what its called) for some reason didn't work when I drive. So, I would just be stuck there trying to move the car but couldn't. Luckily years later I found the game at an indoor flea market thing so I bought it and completed the campaign.
This game was everything to me as a kid I would draw all the vehicles and characters from the game and it’s how I got into ww2 god I miss those times, playing the second mission while my mom cleaned my room was a key memory I have and god do I miss it
I'm getting tired of the macho lets-blow-it-up-with-a-predator-drone-missile-and-kill-the-main-villain-in-a-quick-time-event attitude that the current games have. I miss the days of the World War II shooter where I felt that I was in a war that mattered while surrounded by characters that I cared about. I miss the days when there was no need for nuclear weapons or rogue terrorists or main villains. I'm sick of terrorists trying to blow up cities or trying to trick the world into fighting World War III. I'm sick of using futuristic semi-automatic and automatic weapons that all feel the same. Battlefield 4, Battlefield: Hardline, Call of Duty; Ghosts, Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, Medal of Honor: Warfighter! Its too much! Too many modern and near-futuristic settings! Return to the glory days of killing the worst scum on the planet: Nazis! Return to the beaches of Normandy and to the snow covered forests of Bastogne! Return to the villages of France and the deserts of North Africa! Hell, the Pacific Theater hasn't even been fully explored yet! Give us World War II shooters! Give us something meaningful to play again!
Back then developers were good... They put effort into games. Now? Now they are shitting out the same game every year. Oh look! This time it's got bows! It MUST be TOTALLY different from the last one!
Antony Dyson Not to mention that they now feel the need to include a main villain that always dies through either a scripted moment where you can't fail unless you literally push none of the buttons or through a lame quick time event. Remember in CoD 3 when the quick time event made you push a button each time you moved as opposed to nowadays where you hit one button and then watch your guy do some judo move or something?
The multiplayer on this was so underrated. The maps were amazing! I remember being at my friend's house and bringing his tv and xbox downstairs and setting it up underneath his kitchen table as thats the only way we could connect to the hub. We sat on the floor under the table and played this for hours. I'm pretty sure that was my first taste of online multiplayer.
THE BLACK BARON ENDING...(CONVERSATION) LOOK AT THE TANK...IT'S RICHTER'S NUMBER!!! THE SWINIA WHO DROVE US FROM THE MOTHERLAND....!!!BUT PAPA I THOUGHT YOU'LL BE HAPPIER....WHO SAYS I'M NOT?...THEY'LL GIVE YOU A PROMOTIN FOR THIS....THEY'LL GIVE US ALL PROMOTION FOR THIS!!! HAHAHA.
DizturbedFan Specially soundtracks are awesome ...That epic music in the begining of the level called "the island " made me like yeeeeaaaah ...let's goooo
Reminds me of the days when Call of Duty was still so much fun. Now look at it. It is really really disappointing. After Moderm Warefare 2, Call of Duty became nothing but shit. They should have stuck with the WW2 era.
you mean the days when "Call of Duty" was still "Call of duty". not "Call of scripted highly trained professionals, who are never in any dangerous anyway, cause they easily knock out 500 man with 3 soldiers"
***** the only ww2 cod games were: call of duty: 1 call of duty: 2 call of duty: 3 call of duty: world at war and call of duty: roads to victory I miss the ww2 style cod games now since the release from call of duty modern warfare 2, cod games have modern war missionswith modern weapons, if you don't know what i mean just look at call of duty black ops 2 and ghosts and compare them with cod 1, 2, 3, world at war and roads to victory
Glorious theme ever! Brings back happy memories, when games were something cool, something to relax you, something to never forget, to make your childhood better. Today, i don't see that. I don't know how many times i played this game on PS2. This brings tears, i want this on PC!
0:50 This was the first COD I ever played. Every couple of years this part of the theme would pop into my head for no reason and I finally found it!! Love this game, good memories!
Se me erizo la piel D;; AAAA!!! QUE NOSTALIGIA LO JUGABA CUANDO TENÍA 7 AÑOS .😥😭🥺 TE AMO COD 3 SIEMPRE SERAS Y SEGUIRAS SIENDO MI JUEGO FAVORITO....!! 🥺❤
I went back to this game after a few years and it felt so good playing it. I played the campaign and the nostalgia kicked in instantly when McCullin said "you're no good to me dead." In the multiplayer, Eder Dam and Poisson were my favourites. Back when CoD wasn't about screaming kids and killstreaks, spamming your weapon for 100 bullets to get 3 hitmarkers, even though the gun has no recoil. Strategy. It competed with Battlefield 2, with the mid-sized maps and 24 player matches. Damn, what have they done to you, CoD?
I love this Call of Duty because this COD is the only one that provides information about the weapons, and vehicles which are being used in WW2. Too bad I can't finish the campaign because my disk game is corrupted.
