I played Call of duty 2,Call of duty 3,Call Of Duty 4 Modern Warfare,Call Of Duty 5 World At War,Call Of Duty 6 Modern warfare 2,Call Of duty 7 Black Ops,Call Of Duty 8 Modern Warfare 3,Call Of Duty 9 Black Ops II, Call Of Duty 10 Ghosts,Call Of Duty 11 Advanced Warfare,Call Of Duty 12 Black Ops III and Call Of Duty 13 Online
Wow! 16 years. What a blast from the past. Played so much CoD4 back in 2007-08. The fact that in about 4 years this game will be 20 years old is absolutely mind blowing. Thanks to everyone who made the golden era of CoD (2007-2011) some of the most memorable moments of my childhood/early teens. Hope y’all are doing well
Likewise, all grown up, turning 29 soon, absolutely insane to think when I was 12-13, I’d have considered 29-30 old. All good my end too, lot of adult responsibilities but still try to find time for a bit of gaming, although I definitely don’t find it as fun as I did back then. Glad things are good on your end. Thanks for reaching out.
@@adithya9535 he means Hackers on multiplayer online and yes, there was alot of Hackers ? I saw a person shooting a pistol like machine gun and rpg firing without no reloads. That's Hacking...
Holy cow, 15 years. Kinda feels like yesterday I was yellin and laughing with my buddies just having the times of our lives. Hope everyone's doing good man!
It's not ironic if it is explicitly superior in gameplay and story. I would expect this installation to be the only one side-by-side with WaW to be top caliber work.
@@timmy6468 I meant ironic how less quite clearly seemed to equal more - it doesn't take overly cinematic cutscenes to make campaign epic, and it doesn't take 100s of different attachments and camos to make multiplayer epic.
@@xXxlLEGENDZlxXx Ah, I definitely understand your point now. I agree. I'm really upset that we are entering the era of open-world games. Developers are releasing these games under the facade of having way more content, but that content is just empty and dumbed-down. I hope we eventually get back to what was, in my opinion, the greatest time for passionate developers releasing what they wanted and loved, instead of whatever is trending and lucrative. Anyways, thanks for elaborating.
I still remember how big the gap was between cod3 and cod4, graphically and mechanically. What a time to be alive playing this game back then...miss those times a lot.
THIS cod raised me....I was too poor for cod2, but THIS one changed the gaming industry. Not mw2, and not BO2. If you're a true CoD fan, you know this was the golden era!
Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare is an amazing game!! even by today's standards it is superb, the graphics surpass a lot of games made even in the past year. It truly was a milestone in gaming.. 2007 brought a lot of great games to the table but nothing compared to Call of Duty 4, the story, the graphics, the gameplay.. It set the bar so high no Call of Duty game can compare, I enjoy Call of Duty Black Ops 1 & 2 mostly because of the Zombies and even Modern Warfare 2 had it's moments but I'd take Call of Duty 4 over those other 3 anyday and the fact that it's 8 years old now and is still $50.00 on Steam proves it's quality and how much people still love this game, shit 93% of reviews on Steam are positive, it got a 9.4/10 on IGN and a 4.5/5 on Metacritic... People still play it to date, it is an absolutely amazing game and it proves that game developers are capable of greatness it's just the past few years majority of triple A titles have kinda sucked especially Assassin's Creed and Call of Duty, besides MW 2, BO and BO2. But yes World at War (besides Nazi Zombies) MW3, Ghosts & Advanced Warfare have sucked. And I didn't enjoy anything prior to Call of Duty 4 MW besides Call of Duty 2: Big Red One
World at War multiplayer was quite good too. It's basically the formula of the CoD 4 multiplayer reskinned into a WW2 setting with 5 extra custom classes and a variety of great maps (Outskirts, Upheaval, Seelow etc.) + tank-driving in a few of them.
MrNQR Graphics doesn't look older than CoD 4. The American (Pacific) side of the campaign was boring. However, the Russian missions were fun + having Reznov made it even more fun.
TeamMastaPr2 What really done it for me was the sniper mission the Sniper/Stealth type missions in CoD games was what really done it for me that's why I loved Call of Duty 4 and MW 2 the most
MrNQR The "All Ghilled Up" mission of the game was indeed memorable and fun! However, World at War in my opinion perfected the multiplayer part of the game. CoD 4 had awesome maps and multiplayer, but WaW had better killstreaks (dogs are my favorite) and just as good maps which supported a varied approach of gameplay whether you like sniping or running and gunning with SMGs and shotguns while adding driveable tanks in a couple of maps. WaW also improved the number of custom classes (from 5 to 10) and had very good weapons (PPSh-41, do I need to say more?) and perks. Then again World at War is a strong game by default because of the zombies mode that everyone still loves to this day. Mod-tools made sure that people still play it for custom zombies. That is of course limited to PC. In my opinion, these are the 3 best CoD games of all time: 3) Call of Duty 2 2) Call of Duty: World at War 1) Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare
MrNQR My favorite game is Medal of Honor: Allied Assault. It was the first game I played so nostalgia is a big factor. Single-player campaign lots of fun. Omaha Beach landing, going undercover as a German officer, the Siegfried Forest, so many great moments + 2 expansions that were too short, but awesome. Authentic weapon sounds and music is a great plus. Multiplayer got decent maps too. The freeze-tag mode I remember being the most fun.
Sub zeroHD Car explosions are bad no matter what game your playing, because it not realistic. You'd pretty much need to hit one with an an RPG to blow it, and that's only if it's got a full tank of gas.
Ah man, I loved playing as the SAS in this game. And ‘War Pig’ and ‘All Ghillied Up’ are still the best two missions in any cod game ever! Such a great game.
@@bamzerdaniel1997 Lol no. COD just killed itself (Activision's creative juices) once they drifted away from the base game being the best it can be (Advanced Warfare being the real beggining. Although you can argue that Ghosts was) and then it was never the same. Even more so now that it focuses on Battle Royale. I don't have (and haven't) any faith in them producing a great Call of Duty classic ever again. Those days are long gone, as much as it pains me to say it.... you can tell that they sort of tried with the Modern Warfare reboot and the most recent Black Ops: Cold War but both fell flat and just couldn't get the job done for those of us who were there when the franchise was at its absolute peak (COD4 - Black Ops 2)... I just bought Black Ops 2 again on PC today just to play all the DLC maps. Mob of the Dead, Origins, Buried... such fucking classics bro. I'm just glad we have the memories to look back on when the servers still had people. REAL good times. Feels
Today, Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare is officially 15 years old. I remember playing the campaign when I was around 9 or 10 years old on my mom's laptop in turns with my dad. A fond and memorable experience, I must say. This game was basically the reason why people know and love Call of Duty and it's sequel made the Call of Duty brand even bigger and more memorable.
It’s crazy to think, the same time has passed from when I was born to when I played MW. 15 years. Life is crazy. Hope you are playing MW2! See you on the battlefield.
***** All they have to do is to release fucking modtools for ghosts. And they won't need to do this shit. CoD community have very large mod support. As soon as promod will be done number of players and population of game WILL INCREASE x100. All cod4\mw2\BO players will come.
2019 here. Still can’t believe it’s been 11 years. It’s crazy to just see how simple call of duty was as a child and how shit it is growing up. Wish there was a replay button to go back and enjoy and reminisce on it all again
Cant believe how fucking good this game looks and is. Ive been playing the "remastered" version since its free for plus, and i honestly would love to just play this here instead...not only was cod better back then, so was alot of other stuff.
POV: it’s 2022 & you came back to this trailer just to get some nostalgia. Sure do miss this game. Hours upon hours spent playing COD4. How has it been 15 years?!
Spending endless hours on this game when i was 11, i remember when my cousin first brought it round and i was so shocked and impressed by how much different it looked to ps2 games which i was used to at the time, from there literally hooked to the game and grinded over 200 days on it. They dont make games like this anymore, call of duty as been chewed up and spat out to many times. This was the beginning of something beautiful. When you could go online in 2007/08 and the lobbies would be full of the same level people who are just having fun, no streaming, no hacks. just fun.
When I was like 10, I never got to play this game because my mom didn`t want me playing "violent video games" about "going to war and killing people" so I remember watching this trailer over and over. I was so satisfied just by watching the trailer because it packs so much excitement. Everything looks super realistic and it was like nothing I have ever seen before.
im 14, i played the game when i was 8 and i played it for almost 5 years and i would like to play it but i don't have it installed currently (i don't really like any other CoD)
It's hard to believe that in a little over 2 years, CoD4 will be 10 years old. This is the true game that kicked off the CoD franchise. I wish I could have played it when it was the main CoD. I play it now but back in the day i would go to my friends house back in like 3rd grade, we would always 1v1 on backlot and take turns playing the campaign. Time sure does fly.
Who else thinks a remake of this game would be awesome? One thing that would be mandatory to add though would be: Players can report players for being squeakers if the squeaker gets 10 reports, they get banned from using their Mic in the game forever.
***** Thats a good idea since after Black Ops 3 Infinity Wards Next in line to develop and by releasing a remake of COD 4 instead of Ghosts 2... nobody could blame them for recycling the same game over and over again.
We have reached the year 2024, and it is still my favorite part in years. I played it for the first time when I was 5 years old, and I remember its details when I played it for the first time. I played it years ago, and I will continue to do so.
