Black Ops II is the first Call of Duty video game to feature branching storylines, in which the player's choice affects both the current mission and in turn, the overall course of the story. Known as "Strike Force missions", these branching storylines appear during the 2025 storyline and feature permanent death. The success or failure of these missions can have ramifications for the wider campaign storyline. Choosing one of the missions locks out the others unless the player begins a fresh campaign.

I just now noticed when they were interrogating Krevchenko, woods used the same kind of knife Kravchenko used on weaver in the first game. This also makes “You believe in an eye for an eye?” Make more sense. I also like how woods twisted the knife the same way Kravchenko did on weaver.

Actually the Black Ops timeline ends in Black Ops 3 Because there are four Black Ops games and Black Ops 4 takes place before Black Ops 3, so you would be completely wrong by saying that.

Black ops cold war is set somewhere between the events of 2nd games... But i wonder there is Black ops game coming in 2024 which will be set in Gulf wars...it will feature those classic weapons not mordern weapons so we will get to see the story of mason and woods...

@@Dontworryaboutit961 They not only ruin the pacing of the game, but the whole strategy-type of gameplay didn't exactly fit the game either, especially when the difficulty amps up astronomically and they barely give you a chance to recover or take a small break in-between. Also, the idea of forcing you to do these side-missions in order to get the best ending was pretty lame in itself, which further adds to the ruining of the game's pacing.

Rondais Fort I love it just because of how intimidating and interesting of a villain Menendez is. Most CoD villains are generic and forgettable af *looks at Infinite Warfare's villain* , but you actually understand Menendez's reasoning due to being able to play as him for a short part of the game.

I'm hella late but I think Menendez used the Seal uniform just to act a distraction so his merc allies could take down each checkpoint. I don't think Menendez ever planned on getting out alive since his death activates Cordis Die.

The MW series are in the modern to near future, BO1 takes place during the cold war, specifically in the 1960s during the Vietnam war BO2, during the flashback missions, they take place in the 1980s and the other missions are almost the near future

SteelxWolf Well 1st, the bullet barely grazed his eye, you can tell as he was and the gun were at an angle. 2nd, there were two soldiers sitting on top of that grenade the explosion was significantly lessened.

Bullets aren’t 100% fatal in real life. Just because something is unlikely doesn’t mean it shouldn’t be in a story Really, it wouldn’t be a story if Menendez didn’t survive, it would just be a bunch of successful missions after another

I feel like there should have been a different better motive for Menendez. I mean yes I get it he lost his father and sister and had a bad life. So what? Lots of people do so Menendez is willing to start what could be World War III between the U.S and China and have thousands potentially millions of people die because someone killed his sister? C'mon. At least Black Ops 1 was more realistic with a rogue Soviet officer as the storyline.

Also I like to think that modern warfare 2019 would also connect to black ops 2 as well. Considering that m w 2019 and black ops Cold War really connects each other and this means that it’s a prequel to black ops 2 and can possibly happen. The cyber warfare would be possible.

It’s crazy to think back in 2012 that we thought the future would look like this lol man time has flown so fast I remember being excited to pick this up at the mall and it was just a masterpiece to play best multiplayer and the best zombie modes and of course the gold of it all the campaign, What a sequel what a fucking sequel man still wish we can have something like this again
