Dude, the sounds of unsuppressed weapons in this game are all amazing, they all sound so aggressive, punchy, and mean. I love it! Best in the entire COD series, no competition.
@@bungee7418 The maps are way too big, the equipment was poorly balanced, do I even need to say anything about the campaign, and almost everything else was just the same as the games before but slightly worse if you’re unlucky enough. It’s one of the CoD games where there’s little to no reason to go back and replay it. Even advanced Warfare had some interesting stuff going for it, and it actually didn’t have that bad of a multiplayer.
Ghost's art style - especially for the weapons - is one of my favorite in any CoD and I'd say captures a very MW2, cartoonish vibe with some of the designs and exaggerated elements.
MW2019 could have had awesome inspect animations if they had time. The AS VAL and SP-R inspects are very nice, although people hate on Cold War animations too much
The K7, Remington R5, Bizon, P226, LSAT, and MK14 all had reused animations. The K7 most notably as it shares a reload animation with the UMP45 of MW2 and 3, and BO2's Skorpion EVO
the first to not have unlimited pockets of shotgun shells in their hands like other cods, as they either hold the correct amount in their hand or grab individual shells so its unique in some facts
This game had a unique feel it was a post apocalyptic cod it had lesser known guns and really good customisation and animations its biggest and imo only problem was the big and shitty maps still i'd play ghosts over bo3 or aw
Quite possibly the best set of launch weapons in CoD. Every other game had at least one weapon class with a definitive best option, but I can’t think of anything like that here.
@@anaveragegamingchannel1843 Yeah, the Badger was definitely above average. My point is that you didn’t _have_ to use it though. The other rifles were also viable with the right setups. Compare that to how in BOCW how the DMR is unquestionably better than the other tac rifles. Or how the ASM-1 was the objective best SMG in AW.
What I found cool was that some animations were changed based on your attachments. For example the Bullfrog shotgun, if you have a silencer the operator screws it in rather than tapping it on the front.
@@Nietabs we were supposed to but because people hated it so much they decided not to. I think ghosts 2 should have been instead of infinite warfare. I loved infinite warfare but still.
@@Nietabs the extinction mode was pretty bad since you only get map and it was the samething every time and you had spend upwards of $60 to get the others which is just scummy
I think this was the first game that used Picture-in-Picture scopes on the Consoles, which makes it the only game to feature that on the XBOX360 and PS3. Insurgency Sandstorm and Verdun/Tannenburg are the other games I know of that features PiP scopes on consoles.
@@ethanwhitlock1498 No, that’s different. The scope itself is 3-D modeled but not Picture-in-Picture where the field of view around the scope is retained while the picture in the scope is zoomed. Unless if that is a really recent update... For what I remember from battlefield 1, when you aim, the entire field of view (area around scope) also zooms in.
The bulldog animation always made my ass itch. Your operator breaks arguably the most important rule of gun safety, that being not pointing it at anything you"re not willing to destroy. Dude flags his own hand.
@@damonsloan6365 basically the gun works on a principle of being electronically fired, where instead of using the firing pin and primer setup shells are loaded into a tube with powder set in between them, so the gun just fires rounds in series
I think this game is underrated, most people who said they dislike this game are the ones who followed what the "big boys" said about it. Is it the best one? Absolutely not, it was the first to try something different in the Multiplayer, it took risks which some were good and some bad. I just think people were too quick to abandon the game on first look. I admire taking risks, this one just didn't work out as well but interestingly some of the elements from Ghost were adopted in future games.
If you do advanced warfare next. Just as a heads up,some of the reload animations change when you use fast hands. I've found this out when using the Bal-27
I actually liked this game upon release. My friend let me borrow it and I thought it was a blast. I even remember explicitly thinking while playing the campaign “holy crap this game is amazing”. I didnt find out until recently a lot of people disliked it, but i think it had a lot of potential
Yeah, it was one of the first games I knew of that did dual-rendered optics. I really wish more games did it, it looks so much better to me than the blacked out or even the zoomed in peripheral vision and makes it easier to keep track of your surroundings. Plus, you know, that's how scopes actually work lol
not a bad game, but you'd be hard pressed to find anyone saying it was their favorite. reloads and gun models are suprisingly good, sound effects however...
@@andromeda530 more power to ya, i have to ask, why is that? personally, the campaign's story is nowhere as memorable as any of the black ops or modern warfares, extinction isn't all that good, and while the multiplayer and the maps are good, you could say the same thing about other games. why is it your favorite?
@@necromech_ I liked the campaign for its uniqueness in certain areas. The showcase of the destruction that Odin did. While it was cheesy in certain areas and that God awful tank section. I enjoyed the campaign a lot. I found extinction a bit more challenging than zombies sometimes I just wish it had the replay value that zombies. It was okay but could be better. Some would say I have bad taste but I prefer the Ghost Multiplayer than MW2 and some other cod games too. While the weapon loadout system was annoying at times I had fun with it
@@andromeda530 the multiplayer is overall a solid experience, but the game itself is just tainted by the campaign and extinction. fair enough that you like it, i guess, but the campaign is just mind numbingly bad.
Fast forward to today, yeah, I'll admit, I was pretty irked with Ghosts; total camper-fest and gun balancing issues made this COD a true blight on my patience but considering this was the last entry before Activision went off their rocker implementing near criminal gambling practices to get new guns up to today's "f*** adulting and dedicate every hour of your life to this game alone if you don't want to miss out on our limited time battle pass items, otherwise just pay for them", turning COD into a monopoly for completionist's time and money. I feel torn between having post-Mortem gratefulness and questioning if I'm just looking at Ghosts with rose colored glasses because by comparison by today's CODs, you were paying for more of a completed game in terms of tangible items. I ain't defending the matchmaking-breaking expansions of old CODS tho.
It's a bit of both honestly, personally i enjoyed AW a lot, and Bo3 too to some degree the cods that came afterwards didn't really appeal to me with the last two entries (MW 2019/Cold War) being unplayable imo, the battlepass system the 10.000 different camo and skin packs that you can buy, it's a nightmare. As for Ghosts, it had the potential to be a great Cod but it had just too many flaws, my biggest issues were the low ass time to kill, the maps were way too big with a lot of dark corners wich invited many people to camp (cough cough Stonehaven) and the too camper friendly equipment like the thermal sniper scope or the IED wich was arguably the biggest pain in the ass. That being said i think the scorestreak system was good, the customization options were decent and it had one of if not the best perk sytems in all of Cod imo you had so much freedom to customize your class and you could chose perks wich complimented your individual playstyle, but the problem was that there were too many nasty things in the game to equip a perk for all of them, so you would always be defenseless against *something* of course that's the case for every Cod otherwise it wouldnt be fair but in a game where there are just so many things to be caucious of it was especially difficult. But thats just my opinion, id say with few less campers it would probably be somewhat playable
All of its shells are loaded into the barrel already, and it's fired by black magic that I forgot how it worked. Its a metal storm MAUL irl To clarify, the shells are loaded one after another in the barrel. When they reloads, they're taking the whole barrel out, and replacing it with another loaded one
The Bulldog’s real life counterpart is the Multi-shot Accessory Underbarrel Launcher (MAUL). The barrel is loaded with bullets stacked front to back instead of the normal side by side setup. The trigger is electronic, and each pull strikes the appropriate shell in sequence.
