Allot easier to start belt behind crank pulley. 1) put belt behind crank pulley 2) put belt on AC ñully 3) start belt on top of crank to about 2 o clock position and secure with zip tie 4) rotate crank bolt CW remaining 180 degrees keeping belt on ac pulley by hand from behind. 5 minute job doing it this way. Allot less belt walking and no prying, but thank you for the video regardless..
If you would have started from the back on the crank pulley it would have been so much easier. Plus you probably stretched the belt by doing it the way you did and the belt will wear out quicker
This ol’ boy just showed you one way to do it, if you don’t like it; post your own video of it. The back of the harmonic balancer install is way easier for peeps who have been at this when this belt stretch method came out back in the mid 2000’s
I have the 2013 and Mine came off and pieces got wrapped around the Harmonic Balancer and GM wants $1000 to replace timing cover seal and belt ,this happened within minutes of coming off ,PISS POOR DESIGN
Did you just say OVERHEAD CAM? I had to look at the comments to see how bad Camaro owners got on you for that, but nobody picked up on it! This is NOT an overhead cam it is in fact a push rod V-8 utilizing ONE CAM ! Therefore not overhead because.... wait for it............ there are 2 heads! Of which the valves in those heads share that 1 cam! I gotta stop watching!! Good luck
