I'm still rockin' my fps 2000 purchased in 2001. Great sub capacity for my 10'x14' office environment. I'm using it as 2 channel with the front and rear right the right channel and the front and rear left as the left channel. Hoping it goes forever. Great Video.
I still use my FPS2000's for various things. Their most recent home is inside an arcade cabinet. I've been hard pressed to find a better set of speakers and sub, at least in that size. And I got mine way back in 99' as well.
Friend of mine which are wiring specifications Sound Control for six-pin connector din as the corresponding color of each pin, thanks and greetings ...
Mine still runs great... was getting a very audible humming noise before... took out the psu cover & the main big cap was baked. I replaced it with the same exact spec (3300UF 25V) in the brick size power supply cable... 3$ fix works like new now :P
I have a Cambridge SoundWorks FPS 2000 Digital speaker system. This speaker system came with a SPDIF 9-pin to a yellow 3.5mm stereo plug along with the normal 3.5mm stereo front and rear cables. On most 4.1 and 5.1 sound cards there are output jacks for LINE IN (blue), MIC IN (pink), FRONT (green), REAR (black) and C/Sub (orange). 1. What is the SPDIF 9-pin to yellow 3.5mm stereo plug used for? 2. Can I plug the 3.5mm stereo plug into the C/Sub (orange) output jack?
Good evening! Thanks for the video very informative. I have a big request. I also use the same acoustics system, but I lost the volume control. Could you share a diagram of this console and what part denominations are there? Thank you very much in advance!
I had two cambridge power supplies and plugged the wrong one into my FPS 2000 sub, thought I only blew the fuse. Replaced fuse but not getting any sound out of it, any ideas?? I love my FPS!!
I have a microworks sub with a broken spring clip (those little black and red spring loaded levers for the satellite wires.) Wondering if it's repairable.
Hi! I know this post is not recent, but I'm currently in the exact same situation. I lost my volume control for the FPS2000. Is there any chance you could direct me to a place, a person,... where I could get one. Thanks ! If anyone else sees this, do not hesitate to reply too.
