Of course not every player is going to have this luxury,but with that in mind it makes Players really think about the team,length and terms of the contract when signing. Also I’m sure they have to pay union dues if they really want out Im sure they can figure something out where they borrow money from the union they have to pay back at an interest rate, which can be used to help the veteran players health benefits etc. I’m not a business mind but if I can come up with these simple measures I’m sure they can really make it happen
