Another great one. Nothing like the alpine in the early morning, the colors and lighting are amazing. Chasing the sun for warmth and then running from it for relief, it's a love hate relationship. Thanks for sharing, great footage of some of the most spectacular views in Colorado.

Love the footage! Not to mention that lakeside campsite at the beginning of the video 😮👏🏼 Doing the full CT in August and was debating between collegiate East and West routes and you just made that decision for me, brother 🤘🏼

That hard climb at the end I called “straight up nonsense”. Everything else is graded nicely and it seems like someone got lazy on the one. Remy tore his paws up on the granite slogs during the last stretch too.

Great trip ! Coming DOWN out of high mountains after a grueling trek is the BEST - actually quite relaxing. Even better when you have spare energy to gawk at great scenery.

nice job filming the elevation changes. Usually, a camera cannot really give you the actual elevation of the land/ slant of the mountain. Nailed it.

One time I went snowboarding at Arapahoe Basin in Colorado and there was a small bar at the top of the mountain at 12k’ to 13k’ elevation. I had one beer and got a really good buzz. Then I snow boarded down the mountain. Once at the bottom around 10k’ I was completely sober again! It was quite the experience.

Hey Bryce, I wonder if you could comment here or do a vid (or another) on your hated and cursed rain jacket. I've heard you curse it yet you always seem to bring it. I have spent two years trying to work this problem and I'm back to the beginning after a full day of light rain in the sierras (forgive me if any of you who were caught in the monsoon that blew through this week). In short I would have been dryer if I had worn nothing...of all my gear shoes, socks, rain jacket and hood included...it was my shirt that was soaked the most by far....like I dunked it in water. So whats the point of a rain jacket at all? Seems to me its only about staying warm...like a semi waterproof wind breaker with a DWR. Is that your experience with your jacket? have you retreated it with a solvent based (3M Heavy Duty Scotch Guard)? My jacket is 12 ozs and its keeping me no dryer than yours at 6....pull the trigger?? Thanks buddy
@aurtisanminer2827
@aurtisanminer2827 Год назад
What jacket do you have? I use the outdoor research helium and treated it with a silicone water repellant spray. The one time I used it in an all day rain it kept me mostly dry. The openings were letting a little water in and I was sweaty where my backpack made contact with my torso. Otherwise it kept the rain off of me.

Some of those paths looked really sketchy. Maybe you should think about a freestanding ul tent for certain trips instead of feeding the local wildlife 🤣🤣🤣
@BryceNewbold
