First time away without the sons it did feel weird. But we left them with our big dog, Bogart, an entire grocery order and $ for one delivery pizza. We arrived at our destination and the phone rang. Immediately. I panicked. Mom where is the $ for the pizza? So much for missing the parental units 🤣🤣🤣

I use to camp in a tent trailer we had a potapotty that we carried the tank to the restrooms to empty. We had no ac or TV just enjoyed the great outdoors but that was years ago. We cooked outdoors on a Coleman stove and our light were a Coleman lantern that was what camping was for us. Now 53 years later and if I camped it would be in a hotel 🏨 😏

Girl! There’s a store in Moncton called Take It Outside that sells dragonfly clips. Get you at least one! Bugs are scared of dragonflies. Byyyyye!

-I bought a few White Claws, tried one, and gave the rest away to a friend. Too bad I didn't think of adding Crystal Light. Where were you when I needed you? 😜 Miranda in the woods, Miranda near the ocean - we could see how much it relaxes you, even with the horse fly bites. I'm the same but with lakes, even though you don't like lakes but give me some grace - I'm nowhere near the ocean. I visibly relax when I get out of the city. And hey, I only have to contend with fish and seaweed, not ocean creatures like jellyfish and all their friends. I was so happy when you said that the weather was perfect for no A/C. I was worried about you a bit. But it's better with just three of you. And yeah, I remember the first few times I left my boys home alone. Let's just say that there were a few phone calls and texts that weekend. Your idea of going back to read the 500+ supportive comments whenever you feel down is perfect. Love you both. I'm glad you had such a great weekend.

Yes Miranda, it was Roger's that went down. All credit, debit machines and phones were down across Canada. We knew as our granddaughter works at Wendy's so it was straight cash there as well! Your tent experience sounds like one I had back in 1989 we were headed to PEI and ended up camping at Cape Tormentine to catch the morning ferry. We woke up at 5 am to the tent slapping us in the face because the wind was practically blowing it over on us. We packed up and slept in the car until the first ferry at like 7 am. It was a great trip...except for that night.

Don't feel guilty about leaving the boys. I know it's hard but it will get easier😊 The beach looked wonderful. Yes Friday and Saturday was awful. Nationwide outage😖 Glad u guys had a good time👍 I'm so happy u got so many encouraging messages from that video. U make a difference to a lot us. I always keep a minimum $1000 in cash in secret place,just in case stash! I wish I could be an outdoorsy woman but nope! I am not!!!! Maybe a little in spring & fall but NEVER during hot summer!!!! Can't & won't do it! I head for Smokey mountains. I can't take heat or the bugs, funny,neither bothered me when I was young🤔 I got old too soon, 50 has hit me HARD guess I need to toughen up or I'm not gonna make it!

Agree with the white claw tasting like garbage!! Also love Marco Polo. We are heading to Cavendish in nine days and we always stop at Marco Polo for the jumping pillows and incredible sunsets 🌅 I know the feeling you have about leaving your boys at home. My oldest son is 15 and he is having more adventures with friends and it’s so hard not to have all of my kids together.
