In this video we talk about where we camped near Carlsbad Caverns and tips for visiting the caverns.
Things you can do at Carlsbad Caverns National Park:
1. Walk down the Natural Entrance, see the Big Room
2. Watch an evening bat flight program (Spring to Fall)
3. Do one or more ranger-led tours (requires reservations)
4. Have a picnic at Rattlesnake Springs Picnic Area

Thanks for the info. We hardly ever take tours since you never know if the ranger will be knowledgeable or not. Glad you had some great rangers. We always planned on going to the area during summer, but it sounds like fall may be the better option if we dont want to deal with crowds. Great video and thanks for sharing!

Thanks for watching! So far actually all the rangers and volunteers at national parks have been super knowledgeable and helpful, so whenever possible we do try to join paid or free tours/talks.

Phew, glad that dried up before you had to haul the trailer out of there! I imagine camping unlevel along a roadside wouldn't be too enjoyable lol. Thanks for sharing all the tips and tricks guys! If you guys are still out west in a few months, we will be heading that way as well! - Shane

Nice Video ... thanks for sharing. I’d be interested in hearing about the lithium and solar set up. I’m considering that very model of the Outdoors RV, which seems like a good quality rig.
