Glad to see the timing chain and cam repair went well. Great catch on the Honda oil and coolant leak. If memory serves me you will be on a cruise next week. Hope you guys get some needed rest and enjoy yourselves. Thanks
Torqued at 230 RU-vid foot-pounds. Always amazed to to see the coolant leak pressure test. Wish I would have had one of those back in the day when I worked on my own vehicles. I always had bad hoses on the junk I got back in the day.
I used to set valves on big ship engines 16 cylinder and 24 cylinder submarine booster engines called Waukesha and 399 cats and white superior engines , every 1000 hours , that took all day , if the engine wasn't rattling on any cylinder that meant our exhaust valve seats were wore out , I still have an intake valve as a door stop its foot and a half long the valve face is 6 inches , ah the good old days .
Buy a used "As-Is" 12-13 year old car with 175k on it and expect to not do any work on it 🤣 And that is why I am not a used car dealer. You are in a no win situation. It actually looks like a really nice car to boot.
Jimmy Jimmy Jimmy, You had the perfect opportunity to use your pole Jack and pry bar to get that ball joint off! You made it look to simple! I thought for sure you would have used your pole Jack and pry bar? Lol
Good catch on the oil filter housing o-ring leak. I think the car lot mechanic could have fixed the leak without a new o-ring by applying some flour paste and raw bacon. The car would have always smelled like a good breakfast.
impressive work on the honda. 👍 i think milage was too high to dump the money in it . but i get the economy is not flying high right now, and interest rates are crazy! people maintain your vehicles from day one! 4 to 5 thousand mile oil change. coolant changes every 5 to 6 yrs or 100 thousand miles . differential fluid. take care of your car / truck, and it will take care of you .( disclaimer most of the time) Thanks again, jimmy 🪛🔩🔧🍻👍
