That truck won’t last a year driving like that. The 2.7 is a little bit quicker but it’s not faster than the 5.3. If you get the 5.3 and throw a mod chip in it, there’s no way that 2.7 can keep up .And if you plan on towing anything, the 2.7 will struggle big time. They say it feels the same and you can’t tell the difference but if you drive the 5.3 and stomp on the gas, you feel the difference,
They are definitely quicker than a 5.3. Had a 5.3 2 years ago and bought a 2.7 for my wife this year. In terms of getting on the hwy faster, or more responsive I feel the 2.7 is quicker in that sense. If a burnout is what you want, maybe some higher gears can help it out.
