Can a 1,000ft TSUNAMI be Stopped by PUMP TRUCKS in Cities Skylines?!
Cities Skylines gameplay today doing something different: building a tsunami disaster defence! Our strategy will be to throw 1000 pump trucks at a 1000ft tsunami, what could go wrong?

think your biggest issue is the intersections slowing all trucks down. i think 1 way multi lane highways with lane splitters would be way better so they dont have to cross paths.

turn off all intersection stopsigns/lights and set all roads to unlimited speed

Yeah and was thinking instead of laying out the pumping services in lines that are parallel to the wave, have them perpendicular so they don't have to travel horizontally at first and instead head straight for the wave instead

@@lunarlith technically he isnt copying as it is a defferant video with no direct copy from rce. even though he states that he "wasnt a civil engineer" dosent mean that he isnt 'borrowing ideas' and implementing them in the same style. its very similar to morgz doing the exact same thing as mr beast about 3 yrs ago not same video, same content, same style vith faint referances to the oc.

The rotation of the pump truck stations is dramatically lowering the efficiency in them getting to their location. As it stands, they have to go horizontally and enter a large amount of traffic to reach the wave rather than just driving directly forward towards it.

If the pumping stations were all in front of the city then the traffic jam of pump trucks would probably be more effective. Also it could have been helpful to send a road deep into the ocean so the pump trucks thought there was a flood the whole time.

The idea never got a chance to work because the road system was so dysfunctional, few trucks ever made it, and way too slowly.

Your trucks are just not spawning enough, and when they do spawn, they all get stuck in traffic. More is not better in this scenario. But in any case, I don't think they'd EVER get that tsunami down, because their effective area is just too small. By the time the station sees the water and starts sending trucks out, the tsunami is on it in like 10 seconds. If the range of these things was greatly extended, it might work. Fun video though!

I once stopped a tsunami by pumping waste into the ocean with such velocity that it created a current that canceled out the incoming wave. Would like to see that on a grand scale.

I've seen a fair amount of tsunami survival maps in city skylines, and can't say I've seen anybody employ a fleet of pump trucks. Amazing meme challenge lol

maybe do a stand of sacrificial buildings at the front line so the trucks will have something to go to and better roads to get there faster. Dirt roads have a pretty low speed limit. And maximize the speed limit on all the roads. Definitely highways off of the main roads to planned attack routes.

In the end I think it would have been cheaper to have repaired the city rather than build the defences. Human casualties? So long as the Upper Crust survives we have no issues. Besides, the goal of a peasant is to die at the service of their master.

All the trucks where getting stuck in trafic, if you redo then you should plase several along multy lane maine roads with clear runs to the coast. So they dont have to cross reams of other pump trucks still seting off.
