New passive - Poison Arrows, give hanzo arrows that deal 100 + 25 damage over time, similar to widows venom mine or anas sniper (maybe in between those ttk) - for a headshot he will hit 200 + 50 poison damage, allowing him to kill an enemy in one shot if they don't use an ability to save themselves (most heroes can) or they can get healed the slightest amount. This will make playing hanzo more rewarding for hitting difficult headshots in 1v1 situations but make his one shot potential unlikely to kill someone when just shooting down a choke, he gets the benefit of the dps passive lasting longer with the poison effect and the benefit of feeling rewarded for hitting headshots, instead of the hanzo feeling useless they will feel like they got an ability or the enemy team reacted fast enough to his damage

@@ShowMeYourPotato It would be balanced if it wasn't for the fact that the game was horrifically oversaturated in CC and high healing rates along with AOE healing and immortality. This just makes that even worse

The sword slash for Hanzo goes against everything in his character lore. Despite being a beast with the sword he put it down forever after he thought he killed Genji. It would make more sense if he did a stab with an arrow or something like the Sniper taunt in TF2

Something thatd be nice for dragon is if it had a cone around it, showing where exactly the hitbox is. I cop the shit out of it flying around as lucio

They can increase his arrow speed and fire rate by some amount And rework his mobility give a speed boost to dash for 3 seconds after use Or give him a scattershot mode for his storm arrows ( 3 at a time instead of 5 maybe) Or make the first storm arrow higher dmg for headshots, or headshots for 10 seconds after ultimate Or give him a smoke bomb for evasive action Or make his sonic arrow projectile much larger for easy headshot when you get rushed Or decrease the speed of his dragon/ increase dmg by 25% Or increase his melee dmg They can do stuff like this and make hanzo fun again Or just restore him to original hanzo Something should be done though, im not at all against 2 shot snipers for headshots- many games have them and to be fair widow should be the better pure sniper But hanzo was never a true sniper Hes a some type of hybrid and the best/ most fun play style is high risk high reward So if i were gonna rework his kit and playstyle, i would do the following 3 arrow scatter shot mode for storm arrows by tapping e again Faster arrows And a smoke bomb arrow for sonic, swappable by double clicking shift

One shots are aweful because generally it feels like it isnt player vs player, it feels like my engagement was being the target for target practice. *Hear me out* A perk of hanzo is that he does actually have 'travel time projectiles' or just _projectiles_ so these _can_ at certain ranges be dodged, so maybe this one shot offers the receiver at least a little more engagement with the duel. Hanzo is cheesey when hes just spamming choke, because this just feels random. I wonder if exaggerating hanzos projectile arc would be a reasonable cost of getting oneshot back. This would reign in the effectiveness of choke spam; given he has to elevate his aim according to the distance of the enemy. With all this said. Pakourzo sounds so much more baller

Every character can be fixed, I think it's a just a point of if Overwatch can create a narrative that supports a characters new direction.

i don't think hanzo needs a new movement ability but i like the idea of keeping a percentage of your charge if you climb. i think instead of adding a new movement ability, tweaking his old abilities could be good. for example a shorter dash cooldown or dashing resets his wall climb ability. this would keep his core mechanics the same but give more variables to tweak.

Hanzo should remain as is for game's health in terms of dmg, ur utility ideas seem fun. Widow should be nerfed to 1st April 2023 state, her bullets should poison enemies, so they will die shortly unless healed. Widow was never good for this game, or fun hero to interact with. There is a reason heroes announce "SNIPER OVER HERE", because she is super far and super dangerous, 0 risk 100% reward.

Only good widows are a problem, or ones with a pocket support (or Kiriko. But fuck Kiriko). Otherwise, they are shortly dealt with by any flankers. Widows are either oppresing gods... Or really useless. Which leads to games being not really fun when she's involved.

@@mocod_2402 and past certain rank, half of widows u play with are good enough. There is bap and lw in this game, who can save her from pretty much any flanker, at this point tank has to pick around her as well, she is annoying and she can win the game on her maps by herself

The one shot itself isn't the frustrating part, it's that there is literally no warning and no counter post other than avoid every single possible sight line at all times. Event when there is no widow or hanzo. The best example of long range instant kill sniper toe weapons are the quake 3 rail gun and the halo Spartan laser. Both have telegraphed one shots. Showing the sight line after the shot has been taken is pointless if you're already dead. Even the time it takes widow and Hanzo to charge the one shot is way too short if it's possible to miss and still allow a second before the target can realistically react.

Hanzo cant be fixed. Snipers dont belong in overwatch anyways. Even though hanzo is not really a sniper(or atleast anymore) he's actually a mid range hero but has projectiles so he doesn't have a fall of range. With no fall off range and the old 1 shot he could be played anywhere and be a threat just by existing(plus the bs sonar arrow). There's no counter play against 1 shots after all. The thing about hanzo is he's too ez with the one shot and hurts the game, but without it the slow ish fire rate makes him unviable (ignoring storm arrow) Hanzo is now more than anything just a spam hero, which he already was to be honest. I come from shooter games so i have a bias that projectiles are better than hitscan, fast projectiles at least. The reason why projectiles are better is simply because they have travel time which makes them "forgiving".(You said skill shots Pff i laughed out loud thanks). That's why most projectiles in this game are slow as fuck (to make them near useless at range) and well because heroes have to follow composition archetypes. Thats why Hanzo has been problematic since release. Look up the fastest projectiles in the game it goes: Sojourns rail gun/ Ult 160m/s (which i thought was hitscan LMAO) Ana's unscoped shot at 125 m/s. (Why the fuck do you think ana is not allowed to headshot?!?!?!) Torbs Alt fire at 120m/s And finally Hanzo's arrows at 110 m/s. Next its actually Orisa at 100m/s but ignore that. Whats next? its Zen! At 90m/s. You know how they balanced Zen? He's a glass canon with no mobility. Zen essentially has a "1 shot" volley but thats much slower in travel time plus long charge time, Lowering its damage per second potential. But hanzo? No he's perfectly balanced blah blah blah. Most "Fast projectiles" are balanced in one way or another Except for rail gun. But Hanzo? He has a bow and arrow! You cant balance him very well as he only has 1 form of attack: Arrows. That's why storm arrows damage is nerfed in damage but compensated with fire rate.

Idk, i’ve extensively played hitscan heroes and hanzo. Hanzo is definitively harder with a much much higher ceiling. When you fight a lot of pharahs, tracers, genji, shoot down moths, moiras, etc it’s pretty apparent that click = dmg vs predict+projectile drop+travel time is harder (bonus for geometry in play on bounce) Sometimes you can cheese a lucky hit but if we compiled all the lucky hits vs the straight misses, you’d see a very stark difference. The forgiveness you talk about is an illusion. You remember them A LOT more than the misses which result in nothing happening. Whether you on the receiving end (do you write about online all the arrows that whiffed past you.. many you probably literally didn’t even know did? No) or as the shooter (do you remember many of the misses you had? No, but those insane lucky shots? Yeah) Most of this is psychological and not the reality of what is happening. Granted this what happened to Hawkmoon in Destiny. It was like some 1in 1,000,000 or even less chance that all of its bonuses could stack on 1 bullet allowing it to 1 shot, virtually never happened. However the fact that it could or did happen to people was enough to make it get nerfed despite the infinitesimally small chance and other guns having farther lethality like Last Word or Thorn. So while you aren’t wrong to feel it’s bs (whether 1 shot or hit by seemingly random projectile spam). It’s important to know the reality of the odds at play.
