Been crazy busy with work. We changed up the edit style a bit. What do you think of the new edit style? If you haven’t already, stop by BaronPilotShop.com for some cool merchandise and visit Patreon.com/BaronPilot to help support the channel.

Love it anytime you have the time to release a new video. To be honest this one felt a little rushed with 2 takeoffs and 2 landings in less then 15 minutes. I would have loved to see a longer video, even if it just had some quiet time between the main events. Thanks for all you do to put these together.

Enjoyed seeing you fly with your son! You make flying the Baron look easy. Watching you give pointers to your son shows that flying a twin engine plane takes special skill and technique. I hope you can two can fly again!

It's so awesome seeing your son back on here and proud of him for working on his PPL! The welcome from Punta Gorda tower was really cool. Your videos are always so much fun and I'm glad to see you all are doing well. As always thanks for bringing us along with you.

Great video as usual. An idea for future video, show how you produce these videos. I.e. how you record Foreflight, audio, equipment used, accessories, syncing all of these devices, etc. Those videos on other channels seem to be huge hits. ❤🎥

Glad to see your son taking an interest in flying. My dad was a WW 2 flight instructor, and Corp. pilot all his life, and taught many students to fly. He taught me to fly at a young age, I learned to fly in a D-18 S Twinbeech. Yes a twin, missed the single engine stage. How is Kim coming along with her private training ? Hope to see some videos soon on her progress. Safe flying.

You're very good with him. Will have to go back and see what I notice about the editing difference though. Not sure I noticed anything to be honest...

My grandparents, Great aunts and uncles all retired to Punta Gorda in the 80's. Used to do the drive with my dad from Miami on Aligator Alley for years. Having a plane would have been much easier! Fly Safe

I made the trip a bunch myself in the early 80s and we used to fly along but on the ground. We were doing about 80 to 85 one night and damned near hit a bear. Yes, a bear. Once the heart slowed down to less than a million, we slowed down to a more reasonable speed. Hitting Yogi would have hurt.

Personally don’t care for the new editing style because it doesn’t give a clear transition between stages of flight. But that might be because I watch to study how you do it instead of just along for the ride. I love the ATC calls and several were missing.

Great seeing 75W again! It's been a LONG time. Also great to see the young lad, and see that his pilot training is keeping pace with Kim's! The flying family! :) Need to give us a shot of the new name decals on the side windows... pretty sure, even reading them backwards, I know what they say, but would love to see the fancy writing.

I'm not crazy about the new editing technique. It's disconcertingly abrupt cutting from one scene to the next scene with the exact same camera angle, especially when time has passed. My brain was getting whiplash when you just took off and, BLIP!, you're at your destination. Full cinematic dissolves are probably unnecessary, but please consider interposing another camera angle, or an exterior, to soften the transition. You can never have too much B-roll available. Also, consider additional narration to signal that it's now later and the flight has significantly progressed.

@@AirJockey100 That's entirely possible, but I still don't like the editing.

I agree with many comments that prefer the old editing, but I DID like the trick where young Kris magically appears in the copilot seat. Like all change, I may grow to like the new technique, but it feels a little choppy compared to the past.

I think it is strange that most of the Bonanza crowd flies over-squared climbs in both the 520s and 550s, but the Baron guys flying basically the same engines, always square them off for a climb. Is there a specific reason, or is it just the way "things are done"?
@BaronPilot

Probably not necessary but the POH calls for it. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Hi Baron, constructive comment for all : Please dont say; - QWAYbec Correct prononciation = Kaybec ( thank you ).
@theresacaron4238
@theresacaron4238 Год назад
When I flew in Canada many moons ago, enjoyed saying qwaybec instead of kaybec. This was a common pronunciation up North on and off the radio. As far as I know all English-speaking flyers that I ever heard on com used the same pronunciation.

I prefer the old editing style. I can't really follow anymore what's going on. feels like it's just you talking now and the flight becomes kinda irrelevant. had to stop watching at some point. Seems a bit like AI that just edits so it's seamless talking. I know it's some sort of trend, but I already stopped watching other channels using really heavy AI editing because to me it feels really irritating.
