Interesting & Entertaining! Your game has definitely moved up a notch or two and maybe more? Super big serve! 👍👍 Looking forward to see your 200 KPH serve. It is all you really need. I’d suggest hit to his backhand. Easier said than done. Plus his backhand is formidable. Tough to play a lefty. You are surprisingly close to the #1 on your team. Congrats and excellent accomplishment. Interesting stats! Your second serve results can’t be overlooked. Well Done Cade. And a very well produced video. 👍👍

Love this content, keep it up! Jon reminds me of Huesler for some reason, especially the serve.

Thanks and yes, I can see a bit of Huesler in Jon's game. Maybe that's why he beat me 😁

How the heck is Jon sticking those returns deep off of bomb serves? Damn he is QUICK with the racket. Super high level here, nice work.

Good match, thanks for sharing. His returns were really great, he almost had more trouble dealing with your second serve kicks. Jon played really smart by finding the right moment in the rallies to accelerate but also by guiding and placing the ball whitout to much risk when he was more in a neutral/defensive position. The biggest difference for me between you two was that whenever he had an opportunity in the rally to take the initiative he almost always took it, while you some time decided to stay more passive. Good job tho!💪

I think you are bang on and that is usually the difference between a #1 at a school and a #3.

Not sure what surprised me more, seeing someone actually play very well with a Head Boom or that the number one on your universityteam is from Norway (same as me lol). Cool video, really competitive. You had some really solid serves. That laugh at 21:57 was scary ngl

haha. Yes, I missed a lob there. Jon is very talented. He can play with any racquet.

Always tough playing a leftie indoors on what looks to be a fast court. Keep up the good work Cade :). Do you have any string recommendations for a softer feel, I'm dealing with an elbow/shoulder injury and want to drift away from Solinco Tour Bite.
@MPTennis
@MPTennis 6 месяцев назад
Hey man. Thank you. Yes, here is what I would recommend. If you wanna stay with Solinco you could try hyper g soft. Luxilon element is very soft too. I also think rpm soft, Yonex poly tour pro, Toroline snapper, and Toroline absolute are good choices. Hybrid could also be an option. You could put your tourbite on the main and put a really nice multi on the cross. If you go for that I would recommend a multi from Tecnifibre. If you go with TOROLINE use my code MPTENNIS to get 20% off

Nice shots! Cade I have a question for the radical. Would you recommend it for some one who is a pro staff user? I love my pro staff for all my strokes but I honestly just want a bit more pop on my serve. I tired the ezone 98 and my serve became a weapon but I hate how unstable and hollow it felt on ground strokes.
@MPTennis
@MPTennis 6 месяцев назад
Hey! Great question. Ya I think that or the prestige would be a great demo for you. The prestige is like Heads PS line. But Radical could be good too. Demo both!

Great practice match to watch and to learn from, On slower clay it would be a completely different story. 👌

Thanks! How do you think it would be different?
@anthonyt7173
@anthonyt7173 6 месяцев назад
@@MPTennis Different in the sense that you could beat him, I think that the stats from points won down to winners would % wise be more even on a slower surface.

Man, that is monster hitting. Wow, love the court level view. It really shows the pace and movement higher level hitters put on the ball. With a higher angle it’s easy to think, oh I could hang in here… nope. He’s effective chipping those flat serves back. What are your thoughts on stepping into the net for some S and V?
@MPTennis
@MPTennis 6 месяцев назад
In my wrap up at the end after looking at the stats I did mention I could have tried S&V a bit more. The surface is very fast and sometimes the return comes back so fast and low it makes that first volley tricky. Definitely something to consider. 👍
@MPTennis
@MPTennis 6 месяцев назад
Yes it definitely crossed my mind because I wanted to be a bit more aggressive. He was returning really solid though. Could have mixed it in a few more times maybe.

Interesting choice, I didn’t think the Boom had gained much popularity. Do you see very many players using it at the collegiate level?
@KorvanAleric
@KorvanAleric 6 месяцев назад
Personally I choose the Boom Pro as modern classic racquest. Coming from PSC 95 6.1 and i, IMHO a good alternative to build up a modern tennis groundstoke by keeping the classic feel of 22mm beam with good stiffness rating and headlight. Cade is using the pro or MP? You are aware about the string Joe is using?
