Okay, but hear me out. What if we add a little spice by adding "rival battles" to the nuzlocke, where every couple matches you go up against one of the other Underdogs, or another Smash RU-vidr? For added flavor, you could tell them what three random starters you got at the beginning, and tell them to pick one of the two that you didn't.

Fun way to make this more interesting is have an underdog “rival” fight where out of the three starters they pick one as well then fight if you win. You get an encounter, if you lose that character dies

You should add a rule that if you get three stocked by a wild character you lose yours. (like getting crit killed by a wild mon). It wouldn't happen very often, but it raises the stakes of wild matches a bit

Honestly, if you’re not planning on using a character you match into as your encounter, it might be smart to intentionally lose. That way, your gsp goes down with the character you were using, hopefully making future fights with that character easier

To answer the question about who uses Kirby's Up B projectile for edgeguarding: I do that all the time, when the opponent likes to go past the ledge or tries to recover horizontally. As soon as it hits, you can just go for runoff->dair. I don't think it's a true combo but it still works 100% of the time for some reason. So don't you underestimate Kirby's projectile game

Just need to add my two cents, because it's irking me. When you encounter dupes in a Nuzlocke, you don't get an additional life for your Pokemon. You must run away from the encounter and search again until you find a Pokemon you haven't caught yet. In this case, you should have run away from the Falcon encounter (SD or just play it out and not count it), then start another random match. For all intents and purposes, the Nuzlocke wasn't necessarily broken, but you forfeited that specific encounter.

I haven’t seen a nuzlocke like this before in Smash Bros, but wouldn’t when he died to Joker at the beginning he would have had to restart because in actual nuzlockes in Smash Bros and Pokémon, if an character dies it dies.

Hard-core Nuzlocke idea, lost stocks don't carry over to the next gym battle (Routes don't count towards it)

I feel like a real soul link with Z could be fun along with a doubles soul link for smash bros would also be great.

I feel like you can make this a hardcore nuzlocke by making all damage and lost stocks permanent until a heal after the 3rd and 6th gyms and always getting a heal right before the elite 4 and champion. To make it easier you can heal after every 2 gyms and to make it harder you heal after every 4 gyms and to make it really difficult you have no healing at all
