okay, they release a PRO Gamer Keyboard which costs a pair of optical glasses, and is shit. then they release a non PRO line keyboard which is better. wtf Logitech.

I gotta go against some of the comments here and say that I think this is appropriately priced for what it is. I just tried the linear version at Best Buy and think it sounds good, again, for what it is. I understand that a lot of gamers want HE, hell, I have a Wooting with gateron jades, alumaze case, etc. I think it sounds like shit! Even with mods! Only 2 of the games I play even make use of rapid trigger. I can tell a difference, but it’s not earth shattering by any means IMO. It’s a good looking board, finally refreshed with PBT caps, at a good price. I still think it’s going to be quite a long time before “big box” store brands fully jump on the HE train the way people want them to.

Can anyone recommend a better brand than logitech? I don't get the hate. I mean, most of my logitech peripherals lasted way more than some other "minimalist" or chinese keyboards out there

Almost perfect, but why the hell would someone at Logitech thought it might have been a good idea to take away that signature volume rocker, why Logitech, why? Hope Nuphy will one day come with their own low-profile TKL including that feature and native hot-swappability combined with VIA/QMK. That moment, all big corpo brands can eat some dust.

I might be in the minority, but I'd be sold if it was full size, had media keys, and a nice soft palm rest.

Can i use it wired with no donlge and needing to turn it on like the g915 tkl? Other wireless keyboards i tried just work when i turn on pc without switching it on everytime? Thanks

If it's anything like the G915, then the weight is down to the piece of metal glued to the bottom casing.

dont agree with the sound test, that sounded awful. also 140$ is asking kinda much when you get similar keyboards for half that already. like slap 30$ on that and you can already get the apex pro TKL with rapidtrigger switches when its on sale.

Not a fan of the sound, quite inconsistent, but if the performance is good, stable, and low latency, with hotswap switches, then why not try modding it? If it has the above that means Logitech did good in my eyes.

$100 for the wired version seems pretty fair to me.

Nice to see a keyboard under $150. My apex pro has rapidtrigger and I keep it off. Never had problems losing inputs or anything. Don't really see the need for it personally.

Probably a stupid question but coming from a razer mechanical keyboard how does the tactile keys feel in comparison are they still mechanical?

Just received the keyboard. The tactile keys are much quieter and smooth than they sound in the video. More silent than the tactile G915.

This seems to me like the MX Mechanical with lubed switches and PBT keycaps slapped on top. Anyone can enlighten us how the keys feel on this G515 vs the MX Mechanical?

I’ve had the G915 TKL since its release and see this G515 TKL as an upgrade because of the USB-C, key caps, swappable key caps, and no multimedia buttons (I never use them). The only thing G915 has better is the aluminum case, which feels premium… but to me it’s pretty useless. I’ll take this over the G915 any day. I wonder if they refresh the G915 if they will make it a 75% since they have yet to offer this and the G515 is basically a refresh of it.

I just got the Logitech G515 - solid keyboard, love it! However, I'm on Linux and can't use GHub to disable or change the default pulsing backlighting! There MUST be a way to configure the keyboard without GHub!??

Just ordered one with Linear switches. Now coming from a Corsair K95 Platinum, the expectancy is still high for this pricetag and the company behind making this keyboard. I wonder if i'll ever get used to not having proper multimedia keys or numpad other than the loose one i ordered too. It'll surely will be an upheaval switching to this. I'm not too worried about the competition nor the negative comments, seeing what they refer to as replacements or substitutes for this type of hardware. I welcome it with open arms, and i hope my G502 X PLUS can use the same dongle and free up an additional USB port in the process. Also, i hope that you can have it plugged in or change the battery somehow, should it fail or bulge out or something wierd later on. That is my take on this, say what you want about it and my opinion, but i reckon you cannot do it better anyway.

I just bought one with linear switches and replaced my G815 and I think its a great keyboard. It's definitely worth the price point imo, since it's wireless and cheaper than my wired G815

Thanks for this review! I’m going to give this board a try. I have to for that price and I’m all about linear and tkls. You almost have to with this price point. Getting the white linear version. Looks like a big upgrade from my g915 finally.

Thank god its cheaper than the g pro x 60. I wouldnt go as far as to call it redeemable but this at least seems like a pretty reasonable product (compared to some other logitech products).

This keyboard was a huge disappointment 😢 I honestly thought it would be better than the G915, which is NOT the case here. It still feels "wobbly" and it doesn't feel smooth at all, despite that I have the linear version. It's going straight back to Logitech and instead I will be keeping my ASUS ROG Falchion RX Low Profile keyboard - which is actually a high quality product, despite being a ASUS product 😅

Is the Turtle Beach Vulcan II TKL Pro a good choice? (only flaw is it's not wireless) else i saw the razer huntsman v3 pro tkl.. Any suggestions?

If you have to say "Hopefully you can see that in the camera", then I think you should call out the numbers in case we can't. I guess maybe the camera was obstructing your view of the numbers? If so, do a post-edit and add the numbers in an overlay.

Hey, I didn't know there was a wired version at two thirds the price. I plan to use this as a second keyboard purely for Adobe app shortcuts and macros, so I'd like some clarification on how it works. Can _any_ of the keys be programmed with G-Hub the same way that the G-keys can on their gaming keyboards?

Just received my white 515. Good board. Honestly their dedicated media keys from the 915 were useless especially the volume roller since all it did was control volume. You can control your volume in so many ways now a days.

Could you compare this keyboard to the Redragon K621?

I actually like the sounds from the sound test. After all, these are low-profile keys. So I thought they sounded good.

I just realized that the front of the keyboard is kinda ugly. I don't like the fact that it's black from the top and then gray from the bottom. They should have made the front completely black, like u know two j letters where one is flipped 180 degrees below the other one.

Last 3 Logitech keyboards I have had ($100 range) have developed failing or stuck keys within 12 months. Not buying another one, after many years of being loyal to them. Right now using a Corsair, its about 2 years old and doing fine.

Sound is subjective but it sounds like most other low profile keyboard, Keychron, NuPhy etc... I think it's a good sound for that type of keyboard but it's just not going to sound like a tuned fully AL build with tons of foam and the exact switches need to produce someone's favorite sound. Great review... picked up some recent board as my son's G915 is on it's last leg but he keep using it even though you haven't been able to see the characters in years now... maybe this will change that!

The comment section is “special”. It’s a keyboard. Unless it made out of a slab of aluminum. They all do the same thing at the same “performance” since the ps/2 keyboards. Just software. I have a bit of experience with lots of keyboards.

i have a corsair keyboard its cool, but the downside the key caps seemed to pop easily, not sure if thats a thing on some of there keyboards your all, your i just got a little bit of lemon when thy dont pop off its a good keyboard.

1. This is basically a refreshed G915 2. The G915 was not very good, yet this didn't even succeed it in terms of anything. Using the same switches, and are mostly the same. 3. At least the G915 is old and is often on sales. Grab that one if you really like the switch, etc. 4. Yet again, Logitech doesn't innovate. And with the crap launch of their previous keyboard. The community is extra watchful. 5. Just buy the Asus Low Profile if you really want a named low profile keyboard

Maybe a bit too pricey. $120 should be an alright pricing for this. As much as I like Logitech, it's unfortunate thst they don't do anything groundbreaking with their products, nor do they update lower end models like the G305, G705 or G502s which is the major sellers. That's a big enough reason not to go full Logitech for MnK players like myself.
