Everything in life is relative. What seems expensive to an individual may be considered extremely cheap to another! N1000 is less than 2 USD which is insufficient for just a good coffee in the US! At least, three/four can quench hunger in Nigeria for the same cost!

@@itunuoluwao.7561Yeah, I totally understand that the naira is not very healthy but all I'm saying is that you still get better value for the N1000 than someone in New York will get for the equivalent $2, at least in terms of a meal. I will rather have some bland jollof when hungry than buy half a cup of coffee for the same price!

In the US it's hard to find someone working for a $1 per hr but here in Nigeria so many homes are earning below the minimum wage (#30,000 per month). It would take the common man approximately 10hrs to get your cup of coffee or bland jollof rice.

My darling Winnie, it is impossible if u calculate the cost of transportation and cost of gas used. To be honest, it's impossible to use N1000 as a basis for comparison... Nigeria humbles people, especially those who can't afford to feed well. God help Nigeria. I believe it will all end well.
