Can NPCs defeat Mimic ?

Mad respect for Madwoman and Sword Master. They went in butt naked, no dodge, no estus, no buffs and did more work in 5 sec than 90% of the competition. True sigmas

Things I learned: 1. Don't rely on magic once the mimic is moving 2. Havel has a thing for being bit

I see now why he's called "Havel the Rock". He literally tanked 3 of those grab attacks back to back and still managed to win by a landslide

I like how Havel gets chewed on three times, and each time he's just like "yeah tell someone who fucking cares".

I can't be the only one that feels the mimic has some serious "Eat shit and die" energy to its attacks

I like how Havels entire fight is essentially "Rocks are bad for your teeth, you know! The dragon i took this tooth from would agree, but how about you take a closer look!"

I feel like Madwoman honestly could have won given a few more attempts. She has high enough damage that she could easily win as long as she doesn't get grabbed. Same with Swordmaster

Theres a reason that anri's sword scales with luck

Anri's looked most like an actual player fighting with her double dodge-rolls (which were actually effective in getting her out of range), backstep/run forward attack and multiple heals. And then her slow edglelord walk back to center after Mimic whiffed the killshot roundhouse, while she was peering inside her empty estus like a knob, in turn letting her finish Mimic off.

Theres something deeply ironic about patches dying to the monster that is greed personified while lapp destroys it with ease

Love how Anri AI manages to dodge Mimic's kick and grab while Havel AI basically didn't care at all lol

My man Hodrick got a flawless victory without even parrying.

It's shocking how DS3's hitboxes are good enough that Anri dodged that roundhouse kick by ducking her head

The Madwoman actually came pretty close, though the lack of armor and dodging was all the Mimic needed.

Kinda surprised that Eygon failed. If only he was as agressive with his hammer as he is with his words.

There was a few there that lost like Eygon who I think could totally have won that fight and it really came down to a critical mistake like a badly timed attack

While I'm sad that Siegward lost, him opening the fight by taking a knee while the mimic swung over his head felt so in-character.

Most of the NPCs have more similar amounts of health than I expected And then there's Havel

I absolutely adore how Havel is sitting. It's like he's thinking "ugh those amateurs. I can't wait for my turn to show them how it's done" lol

Taking damage is never an option for havel. The man truly is rock solid

Some pro tips for new players: 1. All chests have a chain, mimics chain faced forward while real chests face backwards. 2. Mimics mouth (at least for the first dark souls) will move very slightly up and down. 3. Once you spot a mimic two hand and use your most powerful weapon (you can wield effectively) and charge up a R2 attack (powerful attack) to stun them then do it again and again till their dead. 4. If you mess up and you get chomped, always roll behind and do a R2 attack but don’t hold it and stun them. Hope that helps :)

“Madwoman” did four times better than expected, the sidesteps and perfectly timed stagger… It was beautiful.

The Scarifice swiftly cut down the mimic, a prideful smile came upon her face upon its defeat. The Ringfinger shimmered his blade, and it's moonlight aura distracted the chaotic beast. The Forgetful's blade spun, tearing up the fiend at tremendous speeds! The Rock stood sturdy as he swung his dragon tooth effortlessly; the mimic could not hurt the strong warrior before it. The Holy Hollow bled the mimic, using his unique blade to dice up the fiend. The Seeker was wounded, but with a final swing, he managed to destroy the mimic. The Wonderer hacked away at the beast, chopping it down with the help of his unique ring's power. The Hollow Maiden skillfully sliced the mimic, using her Dark Hand to evade the Mimic's harsh grasp. The Deserter was too quick for the monster, using the Undead Legion's techniques to evade damage. The Silver Knight's stone hammer found its mark, shattering the monster!

I love how he kills most of them with one, maybe 2 bite attacks, and then Havel just sits there and gets eaten 3 times and STILL wins. Others were so badass they killed the Mimic without being hit once

You know, as someone who's only ever watched videos on it, has never played a souls game, and doesn't know most of these NPCs, I was rooting for all of them throughout this entire video. Some of them got done dirty with their luck IMO, had a decent chance of winning but couldn't quite do it. Seeing the numbers of NPCs sitting around the arena drop was a nice touch as well. I would love to see some tag-teams with the losers, see if they can't do better when fighting it co-op Also, ONION MAN, NOOOOOO

There's so many tragic battles in this, the madwoman and the swordmaster especially. Feels like they could have won with just one more good roll.

Leonhard did a fine job representing Shotel-wielding murderers today, Yurt and I are proud. Heh.
