Thank you so much, everything I needed to know in this video, I am 29 years old. I have a lazy eye 50% of the time, I tried patching when I was 10, it didn't work, not sure what to do now, this was an obstaclel all my life, and I really want to get over it.
Doing exercises with both eyes together will make a huge difference for you. Have you tried vision therapy? If you go to strabismussolutions.com/findvt/ I will help you.
I used to not like eye contact but now that I’m older I know it’s importance. When I’m not staring into eyes i don’t realize how low my right eye lid is but until I look into eyes that’s when I notice my eyes aren’t so alert. My eyesight seems fine. I want to change my screen protector to the blue light protector outside of that my font size is still small so my vision isn’t quite ruined. Yet I still want to try out the eye patch, I mean what harm can be done tbh
At first I didn't, I just went about my day, but then I started adding different types of challenges for my eyes to make it more effective. I have several articles about it on my website! strabismussolutions.com/patching
Thank you so much, i just found your videos yesterday & binged on it as i have double vision & seeking ways of healing without an eye operation. I just subscribed, 🙏to find healing👀👁️👁️
Hii doctor , I'm 23 , I've been patcing for 1 month and half now ... I improved from 4/10 to 6/10 ... Currently I'm feeling my eye moving quick like my eyeball move fast when i focus on something
Patching works better for younger kids, but luckily there is so much new technology that works much better than patching so you don't have to worry about that anymore. If you want to learn more about what is available now, go to strabismussolutions.com/consult/
@@fearlessmatroix6859 I've been playing the original Doom games while patched 40 minutes - 2 hours a day and it seems to be getting better. Doesn't seem to affect my overall vision though so im starting practices using 3D glasses, the ones with the 2 colours as I heard it teaches both eyes to work together which is important.
have amblyopia in my right eye. When I wear glasses, I feel a strange sensation on the right side of my body. Has this happened to you? Should I wear glasses or not? When I wear them for a while, I start getting headaches." Please help. Me 😢😢😢😢😢
I'm guessing that the glasses are encouraging your brain to use both eyes, but maybe using both together is difficult and creates the eye strain. I would think some vision therapy could really help. I don't know for sure though, you'd have to check with your optometrist. You can find a vision therapy office at strabismussolutions.com/findvt/
I have amblyopia. with corrective lenses I am able to get 20/20 left eye and 20/30 right eye. I dont have strabismus i actually did when I was little the right eye was looking off ngle when my left eye was looking straight. But that fixed itself as I grew up. My issue is the actual qualitiy ov vision and vision clairty/acuity. Will patching/vision therapy be able to possibly improve my right eye vision clarity/acuity even if its not to a perfect level? Do you think I would be able to eventually turn the 20/30 in my right eye to 20/20 with consistent vision therapy and pathcing. I just need my right eye to see as clear s the left eye.
Vision therapy could make a huge difference. Especially in improving how the eyes work together. Patching probably won't make a difference at this point, I'm guess you patched as a child? Now your brain needs the work to use the eyes efficiently together. Find an office at strabismussolutions.com/findvt/
No, patching does not help with alignment. It can help with acuity in the unpatched eye, but I don't think that is your issue. You should look into vision therapy or eye surgery. Go to strabismussolutions.com/findvt/ to find a vision therapy office.
That is fine,it is all your choice, and if your doctor said it is not good right now,you have alternative by practicing your eye with patches,if you are able to be disciplined to do it 10-15 minutes it doesn't even have to be every day you will notice drastic improvement. This is just my advice, but ofcourse it is your choice :)
@@Shukke1992 thanks for your advice, but I’ve done all the alternatives, I want my eye fixed now. The quicker alternative would of course be the surgery, realistically, I’m not waking around with a patch on my eye
@@fra593 surgery will not fix your eyesight,it make your eye go straight,if you want to have stronger muscles,u need to train them, same is with lazy eye.And you don't need to walk around with patch haha,10 minutes of your day whenever you are home you can practice :)But as I said your choice.
Yes! Perfect vision may not be attained, but drastic improvements are possible if you do vision therapy. Find an office at strabismussolutions.com/findvt/
