For some time now I have been on the lookout for replacement bushings to fit my 1979 Lincoln Continental. The front bushings aren't impossible to find,...but finding them in stock is the problem.
The rear locator bar/panhard bar bushings is the equivalent of searching for hen's teeth!
With air bag parts unpacked, catalogued and ready for installation, I'd really like to replace these aging and cracked parts to ensure they hold up to the constant movement air bags will require of them.
I simply cannot wait to stumble upon rear bushings any longer! It's time for some good old fashioned ingenuity and fabrication. I'm fabricating rear bushings from a 1992 Ford Explorer polyurethane bushings kit to fit my '79 Lincoln.
