Avi didn't die you know? He took a year off traveling and now he has his own thing going just at a more relaxed pace and based on folk music he writes. His background for this video is supposed to be showing nature, forests etc. Check him out. Featured on a Homefree ep of Johnny Cash's "Ring of Fire" with Tim Foust. 2 bass in that song is quite a trip. Has another with Peter Hollens (another sing off contestant) "Black is the Color of My True Love's Hair", several songs released under Avriel (his actual full given name) and the Sequoias and then an EP released with "Change on the Rise". He is now with Fantasy Records who have among other musicians, Paul Simon, James Taylor, etc. Did one European tour last year before everything got Covid cancelled. Has appeared in LA, Boston etc in smaller venues. Beanie is gone, hair is long and beard is bushier. Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, RU-vid he is on them all. Oh and the A Capella Academy that he founded with Ben Brahm has been up and running for 7 years now in Los Angeles every summer and draws students from around the world. (His former Pentatonix members are also involved in that one.)

Mitch is my fave he's a total legend, a fan favourite in general I've noticed, and he just gets better vocally as the years go on (and more beautiful)...Avi/Kevin are joint second as my faves, they really know how to carry the song with their insane bass and beatbox! Then its Scott/Kirstie, both great vocalists, don't always stand out for me but they're still amazing and Kirstin gets noticeably better overtime as well

If you love Mitch's voice, my advice would be to listen to Love Again (an original by Pentatonix: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-F80FsZDTgn0.html), and then Aha! Live Singapore, which is a live fancam video but really good quality. Unfortunately in that one, Kevin comes on stage part way through and by then the video is pretty much totally focused on Mitch. Thanks again for all your PTX and Superfruit reactions. I noted that you just reacted to the 3rd episode of Superfruit, in which this video was mentioned. This is the kind of synergy that I mentioned in previous comments. The Superfruit episodes led me to the PTX videos. Whenever I watch a PTX video, I am blown away at the talent they display. Their version of A Capella is so precise and technically flawless. Reconciling what I am experiencing in the PTX videos and the all around "goofiness" in the "behind the scene" Superfruit episodes created an experience that I'm still not over (Obviously). Good music should be taken seriously. But it was a revelation to me that the makers of that music could be so fun and down to Earth.

I'd call their outfits: Kevin - Churchy/Formal, Scott - Sporty, Kirstie - Street/Artsy, Avi - Outdoorsy, and Mitch - as you said, Nerdy. Just my opinion, but it does seem to reflect their personalities to some extent. Great reaction - now please react to Thrift Shop or Gangnam Style, both early, fun videos.

RE : Avi's Bass If you score an old-school boom box so you can play Pentatonix loud and proud in your house/apartment and sing along DON'T turn on the "Bass Boost". I did that and everything on the shelf was jumping! Breakable stuff! I was like "oh bleep!" Headphones may be required for modern electronics but old school boom boxes? I'm surprised Avi didn't blow my speakers out when I did that and break all my Fenton Art Glass! 😂

(1/3) Hi Shawn. A while ago you asked for Pentatonix's best live videos and I answered a bit generically. I'll try to give you a more concrete answer. First off, Pentatonix have done several *live studio recordings* . I think you'll get the best of both worlds: the great sound quality of a studio recording and that they recorded it live (all singing together in a continuous take, no edits). You might want to start with their Evolution videos. It's kind of one of their signatures. You can pick an artist that you like, but my favorite is "Evolution of Michael Jackson" and "Evolution of Music". "Evolution of Arianna Grande" is great too. Two non-Evolution videos that I love is Kiiara's "Gold" (Mitch is phenomenal in this) and Meghan Trainor's "No". These videos are all on their official RU-vid channel so they shouldn't be hard to find. (There's a behind-the-scene video for "Evolution of Beyonce".)
