@@ivanmatusic5540 MS. Or multiple sclerosis is an autoimmune illness that causes the CD20 b-cells to attack your myolin cells which works as insolators for your neurons. These cells don't grow back, and eating protein certainly wouldn't do jack shit
@@ladyfame1430 My previous comment isn't showing up! Ketones have a positive effect on neurons and can stimulate the regeneration of myeline. There are many people with MS who reports improving their condition when following a strict ketogenic diet or a carnivore diet
@@199compoundB1 is thiamine. You would take a high dose form called TTFD or benfotiamine. Best to take along wife a B complex according to Elliott Overton from EO Nutrition. I get my TTFD from him (Thiamax) as he is one of the few Dietitians that understands proper nutrition and formulates it himself. I was deficient in thiamine from drinking wine every day and also had fibromyalgia from high oxalate food. He has excellent videos on his channel.
@@199compoundThiamine. There's a lot in Pork. Also in nuts, bananas, oranges, fish, meat, certain wholegrains, some other foods. Tea and Coffee also affects absorption but alcohol is the big problem. Alcoholics get given B1 injections, either intravenously or intramuscularly.
The acronym SMASH helps me remember these fishes: Sardines, Mackerel, Anchovies, S ??? and Herring. I learned this list from Ketogenic Woman in her recent video about her sardine fast. She ate all five of these fish types. Sorry I can't remember the other S.
There's a guy who lives near me who can no longer eat solid foods due to alcohol... He now lives off Ensure meal replacement drinks made from seed oils and other junk. 😢
Dr. Berry, there are mouse studies that ursolic acid will remyeleinate neurons/nerves. They were supposed to start human studies but with what is happening in our medical system I doubt that will happen. I am a strong believer in the carnivore diet but also believe that supplementation can boost and increase the healing process. God bless
Yes. I would think it will help for sure b/c don't diabetic2/ those w/ leaky gut have a similar condition to some degree, just like one can get non-alcoholic fatty liver
fatty liver is "slightly" different a problem, than that mentioned in the clip... though I don't know if there could be a comparison drawn between leaky gut and disappearing/degradation of "the shielding" of nerve system's cells... 🤔
I drank way too much in my 20s and 30s and I know I did damage. The doctors can’t prove the damage, but I feel it. Carnivore gives me no cravings for booze.
Restoration of Myelin Sheath: The ketogenic diet has shown potential in restoring the myelin sheath. This is particularly relevant for neurological diseases like multiple sclerosis (MS) and Alzheimer’s disease12. Promotion of Myelin Growth: Ketone bodies, such as beta-hydroxybutyrate, produced during a ketogenic diet, facilitate sterol synthesis, which is essential for myelin membrane growth3. Reduction in Inflammation: The ketogenic diet can reduce inflammation and reactive oxygen species (ROS), which are known to damage the myelin sheath2.
My neurons are de-myelinated, not due to alcoholism, but due to mercury poisoning from 8 metal tooth fillings that are at least 50% mercury, making a constant vapor 2 inches beneath my brain.
Dr Berry I’ve been diagnosed with CIDP and I’m facing IVIG weekly for the rest of my life. I’ve been 100% carnivore for 10 months and was hoping I would possibly have remission or even some relief but my symptoms seem to persist. Any advice?..
@@raytubach8988 Have a look at vitamin B1 / Thiamine. The form used for Neuropathy is Benfotiamine. From what I know some people are also experimenting with higher doses of vitamin D for immuno modulation. I'm not a doctor so this is no medical advice 🙂
@raytubach8988 I have had CIDP for almost 30 years now. Diet and lifestyle will be your best friend in managing symptoms. Carnivore is a life saver. If done properly, you can undoubtedly get off the ivig, prednisone, plasmapharises, etc. Let me know if you ever want to talk about anything and i'll give you my email.
Ibdont drink, have mild IGA nephritis, and have been carnivore for the last 6 months. I have lost 50 lbs, down from 293. I figured obesity would kill me faster than the Kidney disease would. Im a lot more active, and i noticed my fresh sweat reeks of ammonia. Should I reduce protein and increase fat? I DO eat a salad once or twice a week or have some stir fried cabbage to keep constipation at bay, but otherwise chicken, turkey, pork, and beef.
So basically the poor ppl have no chance , u might as label this diet the rich ppl diet nobody can aford grass fed meat and pasteurized eggs everyday thats just unsustainable makes no sense at all
@@raytubach8988 I never said I can't afford it clearly u don't sound educated and obviously u don't give a fk about anything but urself hence the big talk , but one day when u don't have shit u will be finding anything to stuff ur big mouth with , without caring if it's pasteurized or not so maybe stfu
@@unboxinganything2498 Youre objectively wrong though. Berry has a ton of videos out carefully explaining that you DO NOT NEED expensive meat and eggs to get all the health benefits from carnivore. Any eggs will do fine, just like cheap meat like mixed ground meat, pork steaks or even stuff like bolognia and sausages. Its not a rich people diet, but it certainly isnt a diet which lets you get away easily with a 20$ weekly food budget. However, thats not a diet related issue any longer, but an issue with your financial priorities. Even minimum wage workers or people on wellfare can afford 150$ for food per month, and thats all it takes even for a big dude.
@@polkhigh_33 yea right first u how the processed meat is going to kill u and hot the non pasteurized eggs give u no benefits whatsoever, but now all of a sudden u can eat those cheap meats and eggs and u will be perfectly fine ?? You are contradicting everything u say , I mean that's fine since u guys eat horse meat and call it real meat in the US perfectly fine with me but cleary that don't work in other countries
