Danger: the Slayer has access to the reactor core, all institute personnel evacuate to the commonwealth surface immediately. Repeat: the Slayer has the core!
2:40 I love that the very first humanoid kill in the video is Doom Guy sprinting full speed at a guy and kneeing him in the head so hard he goes flying several feet into the air. A fitting way to show off Doom Guy's massive strength.
Gotta request the Frank Horrigan playthrough again. It’s another character-based playthrough that’ll involve you never leaving power armor and having the most strength and no charisma. It’ll also be a melee playthrough with some use in plasma weapons.
@@lukejensen9933 In the context of setting up the character for Fallout 4, and not for his actual stats in Fallout 2, he would have little to no charisma.
a full minute man playthrough as the doom slayer could make sense. hes always had a strong moral code. like when he beat his commanding officer to death because he ordered him to kill innocent civilian.
This was my thought exactly. I don't see the Doom Slayer putting up with the BoS's "Eff you, got mine" elitism, and he would have absolutely decked Maxson over Danse, and would have saved Robo-Shaun. Minutemen ending probably the closest to what little we know of the Doom Slayer. That, and an affection for his pet bunny so large it's a primary source of his RAGE. XD
Yeah thought so… he’d murder the Brotherhood as one of the option to “convince” the settlers of the Commonwealth to help the Brotherhood via giving supplies is threats of Violence
Yes. I am very observant and I do believe the slayer is a nerd he’s just not the “I sit behind a desk for my job.” nerd he was the “I am nerd but I’m gonna grab a rifle and join the marines. And before anyone says anything the amount of guys in high end combat type jobs that are actually nerds would surprise you. My dad played fuckin DND for the first time while he was in ranger regiment down in panama. Having inside knowledge about some of the higher tier operators leads me to conclude that The slayer isn’t just strong and fast he’s smart unbelievably so. Plus he is also one of those guys you could classify as a teddy bear he was actually a very kind man and the rabbit the demons killed was his best friend cuz she helped him with his PTSD. You take all of this into account and it makes you realize there are a lot of good men in the world that if pushed in a similar fashion as the slayer was can resort to similar attitudes. That whole saying your either a lover or a fighter is bullshit. Even those that are normally non violent and very kind and caring have a limit to how much they are willing to deal with. And plenty of times from my one experience I’d say this; the nice people are the ones to leave alone we’re nice because we truly want to be because we do care but that kindness is not weakness and should you need to discover it We will oblige.
Samuel Hayden: You can't just shoot a hole into the surface of Boston! Doomslayer: 20:30 Also, this run really makes me wish FO4 had the Terrifying Presence Perk from New Vegas, as it would definitely be the most fitting part of the build.
It's more straight to the point and less messing around. The Doomslayer is there to crush abominations, not make faction politics. Not a man of many words but a man of many bullets!
Bloody mess perk is needed. Also Canonically Doom Slayer was a combat engineer in the UAC marine corps before the Phobos Invasion. He built the armor he wears in Doom Eternal.
@@leonwendker3610 in fairness it's shown more through the books from the 90's and through visual clues in the Doom slayer's gaming room where you see his work station and armor pieces strewn about. It's also implied that his background is how he's able to pretty much master any weapon system he finds instantly.
@@averagebystander5133 no he definitely needed luck. It was luck mixed with sheer will that led him to surviving in hell before ending up on Sentinel Prime. He was injured to the point of near death when he got there and by luck survived. All of his stats are 10.
@@sorrenblitz805 nah. He spits at luck and tears his way to victory by sheer fucking will. He is a glacier moving at Mach 10. Unstoppable and capable of turning mountains into plains at frightening speeds.
@@Marcelelias11Lanius would quickly realize that dying with his tribe at the age of 12 would be preferable to the ass whooping Doomslayer is about to give him.
"I am on the side of the -angels- NCR, but do not think for a moment I am one of them." - Sherlock Holmes, because I could never insult Doom Guy by attributing such a wordy quote to him
He just has a lot of fighting experience. You don't need to be a genius to be good at fighting. You just need a lot of experience. Of which the Doom Slayer has an abundance of not from just fighting demons, but training with the Sentinels.
The Doom Slayer was the best marine on the earth, and understand maykr technology that is an "Trascendent technology" so, yes, his intelligence have to be a 10. All the answers to this comment seems like they never read the DOOM Lore, or worse, they never played a DOOM Game. Yes, The Doom Slayer it's too angry for thinking much of his attacks, but wtf with that? If he does that it's because he is the strongest thing in his verse, so, Why would he bother thinking about his attacks if he's the strongest thing in his verse?
Finally. "In the first age, in the first battle, when the shadows first lengthened, one stood. He chose the path of perpetual torment. In his ravenous hatred he found no peace; and with boiling blood he scoured the Boston Massachusetts seeking vengeance against the raiders scum, ghouls and supermutants who had wronged him. And those that tasted the bite of his sword named him...the Doom "Nerbit" Slayer." Thank you Nerbit.
@@Mirnii1998 Another RU-vidr who does "challenge" content like this, one of them influenced to the other to do this kinda content but I can't remember who
As Christmas looms ever closer, I thought I'd re-comment my suggestion from the Jason Vorhees video. Suggestion for a Christmas special! Can you beat [insert game] as Santa Claus? In a game that has player inventory and droppable items (like a Bethesda game), before you complete the game, you must decide who the "nice" characters are, break into their homes (or the nearest approximation of a home) and leave them a thoughtful gift, without getting caught. Optionally, you could also leave coal (or a coal substitute) behind in the homes of "naughty" characters, and/or consume any milk and cookies (or other consumables) that the citizens kindly left out for you, Nerbit Claus. The scope/number of characters you do this to, and the game the challenge takes place in is up to you!
It's not what Nerbit does in his videos, but roleplay can help a lot. Don't just see the gameplay, imagine it happening, the things game mechanics can't show.
Can you beat Fallout 4 as the Scout? Double Barrel Shotgun with a full stock and the sawed off barrel for the Force Of Nature. Aluminum Bat or any varient of bats for melee. Pistol is optional. Making a fancy hat collection is also important.
Could be neat, especially because the Scout would have to run worse stats and armor, making the close range playstyle more risky. Perhaps have another limit on the aid items he can use, limiting it to Nuka Cola (Bonk) and Chicken Thighs (Bucket of Chicken). Stats and perks would probably be: Strength 2 - For Big Leagues. Perception ? - I'm not too sure, maybe 3 or 4. He definitely has Rifleman for his shotguns. Maybe Awareness could be taken, seeing as he is a pick class. Endurance 2 - For Lead Belly. Charisma ? - Probably somewhere around 5, though none of the perks particularly stand out for him. Intelligence 1? - Unfortunately, none of the perks scream "Scout". He hasn't really made anything. The extent of his provable Intelligence is that he dropped out of High School. Agility 10 - Gunslinger, Action Boy, Moving Target, Quick Hands, and Blitz are all very fitting for him. Luck 5 - He's pretty lucky, and Idiot Savant seems somewhat fitting.
And a plasma rifle, and a rocket launcher, and the Fallout 4 assault rifle (as stand-in for the Doom 2016/Eternal MG), and a gauss rifle (also 2016/Eternal), and a ripper (as poor man's chainsaw)
It would be nice Nerbit did a play throughs of any game and he just plays as his real life dad. He gets his dad on the call and only uses tools and dialogue his dad would choose. It would be a nice way for him to reconnect with someone he cares about. I did the same thing for my dad in Fallout New Vegas and we both came out of it enjoying our time together.
@@matthewskorupski4106 or get a bunch of random objectives like reaching a certain location, getting a certain item or killing a certain character and then put them into a randomiser wheel and spin it every X minutes after completing every objective and the starting items would also be randomised so instead of the vault suit, wedding ring, 10mm brick + X bullets and security baton, the survivor could instead have father's lab coat, lorenzo's crown, limitless potential with X cells and a deliverer with no bullets
Idk he might just join the Railroad out of pure hate for the BOS treatment of settlers… as it cannon that the reason why the Slayer was on Mara in the first Doom game was because he BEAT HIS COMMANDING OFFICER TO DEATH FOR HAVING THE AUDACITY TO TRY AND FORCE him to shoot unarmed Civilians
Kinda wished you also used the rocket launcher and automatic plasma gun (both were also in doomslayer's arsenal) it would have been nice to see more variety of weapons. And if you could find a ripper or chainsaw that could also be used for a melee weapon. But still really cool challenge. I am going to try it myself. Looks really fun.
Don't forget the gauss rifle, in both 2016 and Eternal there is a gauss cannon. And I would argue that the LMG-type rifle (the one with the micro missiles) could be done with the Fallout 4 assault rifle (it's large and fires lots of bullets)
Another request for Can You Beat Fallout New Vegas on European Extreme. If you get seen by an enemy (which you can choose based off of the factions you wish to work with), then you fail/reload your last save. Plus, think of all the MGS memes you can include!
Dude I've been around since I think 20k subscribers, and I gotta say I'm so glad you pop off in terms of youtube popularity in such a small span of time. Keep up the good work
You know, there's a timeline out there where someone takes advantage of the Memory Den in storytelling and Kellogg's brainwaves hijack a bunch of synths.
I wasn't expecting a Nerbit video to be where I would do a Simpsons reference, but here it is: "Cool, personalized snowglobes! Fort Hagen, Fortification Hill, Fort Independence, *Bort* Strong Aww, c'mon *Bort* Strong?"
Loving the video! Surprised the BFG seemed to do more to you than the enemy. Also, once again asking Can you Beat Fallout New Vegas with Pew Pew, the Star bottle Cap quest Reward.
Great video Nerbit! Enjoyable as always How about a fo4 run where others (besides companions) have to do the killing for you? You can use the charisma perks to coerce enemies into doing your bidding, or just lead them to one another to fight
Love the video! Definitely feels it fit very well with what was asked c: Now... what if you did a fallout 4 run but you start with a 10 in luck and can *only* take luck perks?
Love the videos, this one included. However I do wish you set the difficult to the highest, this would of worked with the theme of being the ultimate badass and doom slayer taking on the hardest enemies that hell would throw at him . But please keep up the awesome content!
I love challenges like these. So unsuspecting, from the complete ass kicking in Concord, The elevator music destroying the RR lol I gotta hand it to Nerbit lol this dude is quite hilarious 😂
I keep rewatching this video and your others ones and they are so chaotic and fun I love them. Would love to see if you could beat fallout 4 without healing 👀. That might be a fun challenge given Fallout 4's...Fallout 4ness.
Love the videos. I'd like to humbly suggest the following challenge. It is on the longer/tedious side (or at least I think it is): Can you beat Fallout New Vegas with 100 in each skill? (by the time you finish the Second Battle of Hoover Dam)
Oh my God I am so freaking excited I recommended this challenge as well as millions of other people thank you so much but you're the best of all tonight if we get any more ideas will let you know😊
Probably not power armor, as far as I know the only Mr freeze that uses armor similar to fo4 is the arkham verse freeze. Most versions wear a suit similar to metal armor
WOOOOOOO! Yeah it's finally happened, the Slayer has entered the Wasteland! Now you probably can die to the fact that the double barrel and combat shotguns are very good! Oh and the BFG aswell. Yes this will be great! Thank you Nerbit, very cool, have a nice day!
Missed flamer opportunity as you have a shoulder mounted flame thrower in eternal. As well as ripper is close enough to the chainsaw for me to argue its use. Fantastic video btw :)
Hey Nerbit great video but I wanted to mention because of your videos I got fallout new Vegas and I'm really enjoying it so thanks for the content have a lovely day and stay awesome dude
You could easily parallel most if not all of the enemies in FO4 to the various demons in Doom. Humans=zombies Ghouls=imps Mirelurks=spider demons Supermutants=hell knights Behemoths=mancubus Mutant hound=pinkies Etc...
@@sorrenblitz805 Yeah, 2016's multilayer was kinda shit, I only played vs bots to see the demon transformations. But you can use the thunderbolt in both snap map and multiplayer
At 0:13 I notice that Bethesda actually took the the time to make a real single pellet reload rather than a double pellet each time. What makes it worse is that it was only for the VATS nohmthing else
Love your character theme runs as always. Recently i thought of a possible idea for another one. I was wondering how about "Can u beat Fallout 4 as Burt Gummer"(from the Tremors series)?
I can’t be the only one who wants him to put himself through hell in Fallout New Vegas by beating the game only with the unique laser pistol Pew-Pew? Right?
Funnily enough on Xbox there is a genuine Super Shotgun Mod for FO4, alongside a Pip Boy Radio mod that plays the First Doom's Level theme (plus an actual DOOM Slayer armor mod)
