@@zackhicks5320 Nah, that's a good suggestion. It's just not complicated. Remember, one of the early videos was "Can you beat Skyrim with just a shield?"
Honestly, I was expecting the joke to be that it was a pacifist run but you just looked at people through the binoculars now and then, this was something more. Definitely a good decision to spice it up the way you did, thank you for the content.
When he killed Kowalski, it didn't even look like missile strikes. It looked like he opened a portal above Kowalski to a dimension filled only with missiles.
It unironically took me untill the Ant Part to figure out that this was an April Fools Challenge. Highjacking my Top Comment to say Rest in Peace Mittensquad, we will miss you.
He is actually rather resilient with plenty of Endurance it would seem. If his Luck stat was high enough and he had some other things going for him that would actually be possible in my opinion.
Fun fact: you can destroy the robot army and still side with Yes Man, and this makes Yes Man have some extremely passive aggressive dialogue before the final battle as he tells you you have to permanently disable the dam since you don't have the forces to hold it and Vegas at the same time.
I honestly thought he was just going to mod the game so the binoculars to be a melee weapon and act like nothing was wrong... I was only half wrong. As I was writing this, the replacement for ranger ghost appeared lol
Day 8 Can you beat all of fallout: new vegas as senator Armstrong? No armour, only the pre-war businesswear and glasses are allowed. Use the drugs exploit to get 11 in endurance and strength. (Played college ball, you know.) Monocyte breeder, subdermal armour, endurance and strength implants all required. (Nanomachines, son.) Charisma implant also required. (I don't write my own speeches.) Only the bare fists are allowed as weapons. If this is too tedious, the ballistic fist is alright to use sometimes because of the giant flame pillars he makes in his final phase. (Don't fuck with this senator!) Side with the yes man and destroy all 3 other main factions. (every man should be free to fight his own wars!) Besides that, the rest is up to you; I'm sure you know the simple things like taking the toughness perk and I want you to be free to make this run as extensive or restrained as you want.
Not sure if Senator Armstrong would go with the Yes Man Ending, as it's basically just replacing one absolute dictator with himself as another absolute dictator, but then again, when making the Mother of all omelettes, you can't fret over every egg.
Ah, I see you finally got around to doing a enclave playthrough. Good job utilizing the enclave satellite laser, I always forget that weapon is there. Very easy to miss
Hey nerbit! Love your videos, but could I suggest a challenge? A terminator themed loadout. Can you beat fallout NV as a T-800 High endurance and intelligence/ low luck and charisma Tag skills: Explosives, Guns, Science Can only use: lever action shotguns, miniguns, grenade rifles, or any guns the terminator would’ve used. Edit: also try to get as many implants or cybernetic themed perks.
I too would like to cast my vote to see this concept made a reality. I actually might try this run myself, seems like it could be rather fun and entertaining. Thanks for the inspiration fren!
There actually is a way to do a binoculars run with the first set of binoculars. Boon has that spotter perk once you max out his quest line. It let's you point out enemies for him to snipe. As far as I know he will always hit the target no matter the distance. So it wouldn't have to be a traditional pacifist run.
Nah it's not like fo4. You get the perk while you have the companion and their companion quest improves their stats. Boone can either get a damage increase or a damage resistance increase depending on the courier's choices. In fo4 you need to max out affinity and complete the companion quest to unlock a permanent perk independent of your standing with the companion.
Recent play through brought me to the legion safe house and reminded me that time bombs exist. I then heard the voice of a hilarious Irishman in my head asking the question “can you beat fallout new Vegas, with only time bombs”
This is one of the wildest challenges you've done yet. Can't wait to see the results. Thank you for another Friday evening entertaining video! *Edit* Got to the ants. Realised was April fools. Genius. Thank you Nerbit!
Wow, been playing this game for 12 years and I've never heard anyone mention these binoculars, can't believe we're still finding new content in this masterpiece! Amazing
Yes, the Binoculars are the most overpowered weapon in all of new vegas! Also can you beat Skyrim as the Headless Horseman, basically install a mod that makes it possible, get a horse by the end of the run, only use two handed axes for easy decapitation, kill Nazeem, and finally try to get a replacement head via getting a skull!
I did a build like this. What I used Arvak An Ebony Battle-axe The Execution Hood(found on the three potential victims in the first dark brotherhood quest) The Nightingale Armor Vampire Gauntlets Shrouded Boots Played as a Nord.
Dude this video was sooooo good. Was definitely not expecting this at all. I didn’t even know those binoculars existed in the game. This is a masterpiece.
The minuscule damage and aggro that the beam is inflicting is how Fallout 3 (and New Vegas by extension) deals with scripts being tied to a projectile weapons. I did encounter it during my creation of Zap-Away! mod for FO3 back in the day. Zero damage weapon never triggered the script that the impact should start. So I had to change the damage to 1 for it to work as desired.
Listen, I just thought this was going to be a no-kill run with a gimmick, and I was definitely here for it. But three minutes in, I was like: O.O Great video
5:48 I wasn't paying attention to the video, had it in the background while I was doing something and I thought Nerbit just moaned into the microphone for no reason, but it's just another script typo joke. Gave me a heartattack because I'm wearing headphones and it was LOUD.
Kinda unrelated, but I thought of it when you pickpocketed Benny… I think it wore pretty dope if these games had a “VATS Pickpocket” system, where once your sneak skill is high enough, if the target is in a crowded place, you go into vats and click a button to pickpocket, then you’re shown the inventory and you pick your item. Once you’ve made your choices and are all set, you trigger the VATS Pickpocket and your character would do a more realistic pickpocket grab, by doing a bump-and-snatch, or something like like that. It would play a little animation where you bump into them, apologize and pat them and acquire your item. If your sneak is too low, you get caught, but if your speech is high enough you could play it off like they just accidentally dropped the item and you picked it up or something.. if your agility or pickpocket is really bad you might just knock them down causing them to get angry and maybe become hostile. Also, it would be cool if you only had a few chances, and some characters are more suspicious or aggressive and some people are oblivious dummies, so if you try to bump into them repeatedly they might just get angry, call you a drunk and attack you, or a suspicious individual might just assume you’re stealing anyway, while an aloof person might be completely oblivious no matter how many tries you take. Personally, I think that Bethesda games should lean harder into the more niche play styles like Stealth, giving us more varied lockpick mini games, better pickpocket (like my idea) and perhaps the ability to frame others or shift blame when caught if you have high speech.. lots of people enjoy stealthy play and being criminals or Robin Hood style Wanted Avengers! I hope they make Fallout 5 and TES 6 more complicated, and not continue to simplify like they did for the last games. F4 and Skyrim are still amazing games and I’m glad to have them, but they definitely took the complexity down a huge notch from previous games.
Week 13 of asking: Can you beat Skyrim as Cesar Millan? The days are getting longer and Nerbit is no closer to noticing me or my cries for a challenge run. Many would have given up but not me because, comments are good for the RU-vid algorithm
Little tip for any future run, Loyal always leaves the hangar at night, you might be able to catch him, I'm pretty sure Pearl does too but I'm not certain
I have an idea fallout 3 as a Chinese spy you use a Chinese pistol and A Chinese Assault rifles, and a Chinese sword, outfit is the stealth suit As a bonus at the end you poison the water and destroy the citidel
Sometimes I’ll put these videos on in the background when I’m about to fall asleep and just watch them till I pass out. But when I got to the ant part my jaw literally dropped in awe
Thank you for this video, at first I thought that the binoculars were actually apart of the game mainly because of the fact that I don't know much about the game, but I'm really glad you linked the mod I will be sure to try it out.
When I first saw the thumbnail picture I thought this was going to be a play through of " Can you beat Fallout: New Vegas as Patrick Star?" You put that idea in my head now I challenge you to attempt that run. Anyone else think that by just seeing the picture or want that to happen?
I very much enjoyed this video, thank you for all that you do Nerbit. I also had an idea for a challenge run; can you beat a fallout game (your choice) by only reverse pickpocketing explosives?
