Not really that weird, the move's description says that the user either stomps down on the ground or tramples the targets into the ground, it doesn't actually shake the ground. Pretty sure the confusion just comes from Bulldoze hitting everyone in double battles like Earthquake and Magnitude do.

Yeah. This is at least a sponsorship that isn't bullshit though. There are some YTers that I respect very highly until I see them sponsored by some gatcha game and my opinion of them drops drastically.

@@billyflinn8328 It’s less the appropriateness of Josh as someone worth sponsoring and more the fact fact that Altus is notorious for being behind the times to the point of hostility towards its fanbase. Mostly stuff like imposing restrictions livestreams like how far they’re allowed to show the game before they abruptly need to stop altogether and their more recent scummy DLC practices.

I argue it's not _"for whatever reason;"_ bulldozers don't shake the ground, they trample things or push them aside. Anything underground would be unaffected. Earthquake and Magnitude, meanwhile, physically shuffle the very earth itself, ripping the ground open and still damaging anything beneath it.

@@Alizudo I just looked at the black and white bulldoze animation, and they definitely are shaking the ground and not pushing anything aside. Hate to break it to you, but you were wrong on the internet.

@@mynameispepper1590 It's Game Freak who's wrong on this. The animation they've made is not an accurate depiction of how a bulldozer works.

You can do everything up to the Elite 4; as a normal-type move, Endeavor doesn't affect Ghost types, so Shauntal shuts that down hard.

Gen 5 critical hits are not broken. (Puts on my crotchety old man mustache, beard, spectacles, and cane). Back in my day, critical hit rates were determined by your Base Speed. You whippersnappers cry about 1.5x critical hit damage, we had 2.0x critical hit damage that could kill us like cars without seat belts. Standards for critical hits were higher back then. Venusaur and Victreebel were the OGs, not even OUs when they started out, and they invented OU Meowscarada and its 100% critical Flower Tricks. They didn't use performance-enhancers to dope their offensive stats in competition, the base power of their critical moves, nor min-max their speed stat above the competition with athletic scarfs, nor even change the entire natural personality they were born with for a competitive advantage. Any Pokémon with a Base Speed higher than 64 with a high-crit attack could replicate this common trick in the good old days. Venusaur and Victreebel's only mildly useful tool to take advantage was old-fashioned Sleep, which triggered new-gen Smogon so much that it is now banned. Kingler's 100%* critical STAB Crabhammers were barely good enough for NU, let alone OU. The mountain lion Persians we wrestled with our bare hands had guaranteed* critical Slashes, in UU, in a generation where Normal types ruled, when we only had a single option for a fully-evolved Ghost, a few Pet Rocks that disintegrated immediately when they didn't get off my wet, freshly-cut lawn, and no safe spaces with Steel types. We had to play outside with other kids and got our knees skinned by constant Slashes from parasitic mushrooms, hedgehogs, underground mole trios faster than horses, resurrected trilobites with giant scythes for hands, giant praying mantises with scythes for hands, demonic stag beetles with giant twin horns, fire-breathing flying lizards (not to be confused with dragons, which wrapped their bodies around opponents to a slow death), and terrestrial flying ducks wielding large leek-swords that were more funny than dangerous. The bodybuilding jocks and angry organ-playing monkeys would throw unexpected Karate Chops, and the class clown who ate glue sticks would do a Razor Wind to make us laugh. Critical hits were the cool fashion back then, because they helped us break bulky stall teams with double the healing power points of modern games. Speaking of healing, we had to battle Mewtwos with 25% critical hit rates, in deadly freezing Blizzards, up a hill, both ways, after they Recovered or Rested. In fact, we were thankful when Mewtwo would do resisted critical hits, as that would do less damage than an Amnesia-boosted attack, regardless of how many boosts. Ouch, I think my back creaked after those painful memories, someone get me my dentures and pudding pops! *We were good, Murphy's law-abiding citizens who constantly worshipped Lord Helix and Bird RNGesus. They only responded 1/256 times to dodge a guaranteed attack, either the opponent's or ours. Then again, that sounds like the blasphemous anarchy of the Dome Fossil and Flareon.

@@NecromancyForKids YOUR level matters. Your opponent's doesn't. So your Pokémon will be dealing the same damage to Iris's Haxorus regardless of whether its level is 55, 59 or 63, because in all three cases it has Level 59 stats.

I meant in reference to when attacking specifically, where I do believe that opposing Pokemon do still get the same damage calculation. I can see where it may have seemed I meant incoming damage was affected by your level, though. @@llSuperSnivyll

@@NecromancyForKids Ah, fair enough. Dunno which level it takes into account int said case. For instance, in Easy it gives you the same amount of experience of its level in Normal, but the prize money of its level in Easy.

To be fair, Geeta has an extra layer of difficulty. Somehow you have to reach her without the existence of an open world not making you give up due to how demotivating it is. It's extremely hard.

It's one of those "suffers in stats because zero weaknesses" mons. Spiritomb and Sableye had the same problem, though now they also have a weakness thanks to the Fairy type. None of these pokemon do enough damage or soak enough damage to be useful, though I was able to use Pain Split Spiritomb on a competitive team for awhile despite that.

Strategy over op pokemon anyday

That's very impressive. I've always wanted to do a solo Pichu run on Black 2 Challenge Mode. But I'm not that brave 😂

Having tried my own solo challenge with the Snivy line in BW2... I don't think the game really hurts you that way. I mean, sure, weak Pokémon are going to have an AWFUL time because overleveling is more difficult, but the game does give you a Lucky Egg for free halfway-through... (and BW2 gives you Return and the Silk Scarf before the second gym). If there's a game I think will heavily discourage solo challenges is Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon, because the bosses are really strong for mainline Pokémon standards.

If Jrose11 would be willing to use the Universal randomizer, he could deactivate the EXP system and make the game use the old base experience point system.

@@Lebon19 I wouldn’t be against that at all, in my opinion that isn’t really cheating, it’s just adjusting the game to be the same as the others for challenges to make them more fun to do and give him extra variety.

Well that was for solo runs, and it would still stand as one of the worst for those. Gen 5 handles experience a little differently than other Pokemon games, drastically reducing experience gains when really over or under leveled. With solo runs, you frequently have to be a much higher level to handle fights you're weak against, so when you need to grind a few levels to, for example, deal enough damage to one shot all of Clay's Pokemon with only a Blitzle, and you're 10 levels higher than the wild Pokemon, it will take forever just to gain a single level. That doesn't matter in this run because there's no experience gain anyway. It also doesn't matter much in other types of challenge runs where you can use more than one Pokemon, including Nuzlockes since your level is frequently capped by rules anyway.
