It's just a worse version of the shield bash... or is it? The twitter I forget to use: / nerbit_13098 2nd Channel: / @ti-bren7709 ko-fi.com/nerbit #Skyrim #Challenge #Gaming Music:www.purple-planet.com/
i like to imagine the reason for the damage glitch is that drawing the bow makes your enemies expect to get hit by an arrow, so smacking them in the face gives you a bonus for the a misdirection
2:00 That Soup is so broken that whenever I approach whiterun, I instinctively chant "Cabbage Potato Leek Tomato" To remind myself to pick up the ingredients for it at the farms on my way into town.
Three year anniversary? It's been so long! Nerbit has really moved up in the world since then. On behalf of all of us, thank you for all your incredible content.
“Uh oh! He’s an archer! Better set up your shields!” *Aggressively starts running towards the shields with the force of a thousands suns and the anger of a million lions* Also happy anniversary, I’ve been watching this channel for such a long time yet it only feels like a few weeks lmao.
If I had a nickel for every time a RU-vidr beat Skyrim by only bow bashing I’d have 2 nickels. Which isn’t a lot but it’s odd both Nerbit and Ymfah did it.
@@Nerbit13098 Mitten Squad did the skeever run and had nothing but issues with the mod he was running. If you do, eventually, do a Creature playthrough, ensure you double test everything
I'm pretty sure I've done it as an imp. I believe it's actually a certain quest you have to complete for each side to skip it it's just that as a stormcloak, you can skip it earlier iirc
@@Nerbit13098 did you start the quest for the peace council or finish certain objectives for it before attempting to bypass it via the Civil War questline? cause you should be able to bypass it on the Empire side as well. could also just be a bug, Bethesda loves their bugs.
@@Nerbit13098 The actual trigger for skipping Season Unending is one side having eight holds, i.e., you would need to stop right before finishing the final quest (for either side)
Hey Nerbit, brilliant video as always. If you're interested, i have a challenge for you. Can you beat fallout 3 as a vampire? you have to use Vance's Longcoat and vampires edge. only heal using blood packs and only travel during night (excluding when you leave vault 101 and tranquility lane) Thanks as always for the great content .😊
Snake: "In close range combat, a knife can sometimes be more useful than a gun." Well, let's just drop gunpowder all together then, Snake. P.S: Can you beat the Outer Worlds as Teddy Roosevelt? Revolver and Rifles only, but you must also destroy every corporate faction.
@@Nerbit13098An interesting full game playthrough/build I would love to see you do (includes civil war questline, all the black books/dragonborn questline, dawnguard, and etc), would be Ice Queen Build. Basically only Ice Magic, Stalhrim Weapons/Armors as final setup, and being a Nord Vampire Lord. Though another idea I would like to see is that complete playthrough as an Illusion & Restoration Master only using Illusion & Restoration Magic while being a Thalmor Vampire Lord. Finally, I have played Skyrim many times and have never done the Peace Council wussy nonsense. Instead I have always completed the Civil War Questline before that point always siding with the Stormcloaks.
"Plus, one of the effects of his bow is that he can draw it faster, meaning I have to be vey quick with my bashes, or I'm going to take an arrow straight to the head" You're playing Skyrim and you managed to avoid making the 'arrow to the knee' joke. Respect.
I love your weapon restricted runs. Its quite fun to see you make a build around your single fighting style and maximize its effectiveness. One im curious about is beating Fallout 3 with only the minigun.
@@ruthlesaceyou can craft ammo in fallout 3 via the ammo press after completing the Pitt DLC. The problem would be getting the minigun passed the main gate, however you actually can get your equipment passed that gate. Follow all of the steps that Trapped in Fallout shows in this video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-oa0qVlG8xJo.html Following this might lead to the DLC not progressing and ultimately softlocking you to the Pitt as none of the quest npcs will enter dialogue with you. This may seem as a dead end at first, however if drop all of your gear after fast travelling passed the main gate the quest should update. Thus allowing you to keep your gear and absolutely trivialise the Pitt.
Love seeing actual skyrim challenges. Too many channels that their skyrim challenge videos are "watch me do the fortify restoration glitch for 10 minutes for the millionth time so the challenge is essentially pointless" Keep up the awesome work man!
You could've named the character Bowyer to coinside with the recent Super Mario RPG remaster, and Bowyer's a goofy looking boss from that game. Congratulations on three years of runs!
23:20 I do agree that it way more fun watching challenges that not just "Eating glass for 3 hours". I never even knew this bug existed and it looks hella fun and useful for an archer build
I know it doesn’t help with this video since you can’t hit anything with arrows, but you can also do the arrow damage glitch immediately after shooting the bow to. As soon as the arrow hits your target, if you bash it’ll also do the arrow damage. You’ll hear a second arrow hit the target when you bash it so that’s how you can know you pulled it off
This went from being "oh god he's gonna be in so much pain for this whole video" to "wow this actually looks fun and viable" in a matter of a few minutes lmao. I didn't even know about that arrow bow bashing bug before!
I've run into that same sound glitch you had in the Thalmor Embassy. I believe it's the sound of flame traps spewing endless flames. I've had weird things "carry over" between interiors before, like Kyne's Peace glows from another interior's creatures hovering mysteriously outside the walls. I suspect that something was sitting on the flame traps in some dungeon, probably Ustengrav, and the game remembered that it should be making the sound at those coordinates but forgot to limit it to just Ustengrav. That's my best guess after thousands of hours in this beloved mess of a game! ❤
"I took out my pent up confusion and mild aggregation out on the frost trolls. I swear you'd think they were a part of the Omerta's" sent me laughing to the floor. Thank you.
Good to know, a Stealth archer even does melee better than a melee build! Jokes aside, I never knew that glitch was a thing! I'm curious if the enchanted fire/ice arrows proc when bashing.
This run was super fun to watch. The way you STEAMROLLED everything after using the glitch that you discovered was incredible to watch after you had shown how much of a struggle the run would have been was cinematic, well-edited, and you were well-spoken. You're my favorite Bethesda-based challenge runner by a wide margin.
Just the fact that you have done these maddening, bizarre challenge runs of so many games and retained (most of) your sanity is impressive in its own right. Respect. You deserve about 10X the subscribers you have.
This is essentially the antithesis of a Stealth Archer and I fully support it. Also, congratulations on three years of this. This is definitely one of my favourite channels on RU-vid
Ah this is the ancestor to the Fallout 4 gunbashing run! Also I didn't expect to see a Battle Block Theater reference lmao. So is this technically a loud archer build?
If you want to skip the council, you can go with the questline until you get very close to the end of it. Either one hold before the Siege if Windhelm/Solitude or up to the fort before the siege. If you do that you should be able to skip it.
You know it’s gonna be a great nerbit video when there’s the fable ost (absolute win). Happy 3 years man! Whenever you upload it’s always such an entertaining treat to watch.
Just an Idea, the Bound Bow with the mystic binding perk is easily accessible and does more base damage then a dragonbone bow, additionally bound arrows do as much damage as daedric arrows. The Spell book can easily be found in Fort Amol. This way you can essentially start out with good equipment without needing to do any quests and without needing creation club content
Its really been 3 years since Mitten Squad went on that break that inspired you to make that Shield Bashing Video, and inspired me to watch that Shield Bashing Video. How far you've come my guy!
My favorite bit from these videos is presumably very tired and overworked script nerbit writing these, only for well rested and awake recording nerbit to question what exactly went wrong with those spelling errors.
your videos sir, are consistently some of my favorite on the platform. save for the fact that they always relapse me back into my skyrim addiction. keep up the great work.
I'm strapping in for the pure, sheer suffering for this one. I'll never know why you do this to yourself, but I'll be here to watch it EDIT: wait with the glitch the damage is insane what the hell
This channel has given me so much joy since I found it. Youre an absolute unit answering all the questions we never thought we wanted answers to. Thanks for 3 years of awesome content Nerbit!
Happy anniversary! On that note, a resuggestion for a run: "Can you beat Fallout 3/New Vegas as a Crimson Dragoon"? You can only use what the NPC Dragoons have (Sniper rifle, Chinese assault rifle, Chinese officer sword, and of course the Chinese stealth armor), and you need to be as much a stereotype ninja commie as possible.
I only remember this feature because when I was new to skyrim (around a year back yes I know I was late to the party) I tried to see if there was an aim function and presed left trigger on my controller and it made me punch jarl balgrulf in his face in the middle of the conversation right before you have your first dragon fight and I didn't know to put my weapon away to stop the aggro and had to run away.
my favorite skyrim combat big is the sprinting 3rd person power attack. i think it only works with a one hander, but if youre in theird person and do a running power attack, then just keep holding forward and mashing attack youll start doing really fast power attacks and it somehow lets you keep doing it with no stamina. you do keep moving forward, but if youre fighting a dragon you just run in place and swing rapidly
Congrats on 3 years! However, I may as well take the time to propose this: Can you beat Fallout 4 as a Raider? -You can only use weapons, ammo, scrap and armor found on raiders, or in raider settlements such as USAF Station Olivia. The 10mm pistol is found on raiders, but you aren't allowed to use the one found in the Vault. You *can* take the switchblade found in one of the giant cart things right after leaving the Vault however. -Healing supplies must also come from here but growing crops such as tatoes is allowed for a decent source of healing. -Choose the faction that will deal the most harm to the Commonwealth if they gain power. My guess would be Brotherhood or Institute. -Complete the Nuka-World DLC while siding with any of the raider groups. -Murder everyone in settlements such as Tenpines Bluff and take all the loot. You are allowed to help them before doing said murder spree. -You are allowed to upgrade/modify any weapons or armor you find, as long as the resources come from raiders, raider settlements, or pillaged settlements. Some optional challenges: Find a complete set of Raider Power Armor and upgrade it to Raider II, do the Cabot quest (side with whoever, just don't use the rewarded gamma gun variant), and if you want to: cause chaos to Far Harbor by murdering literally everyone: Acadia, Children of Atom, the town itself, etc. Will be interesting to see how it turns out if you do this, but I won't force ya.
Three years already? It feels like forever, but when I think about it that was already half a year into the pandemic. You and your videos did help make getting through some of those bad times much easier. I hope we get at least 3 more!
Got quite a kick out of listening a ton of these at work recently. :) When I saw the Starfield presentation a little while ago and saw developer hoarding sandwiches I couldn't help but think of this channel and wonder: 1: Can you make/find hamburgers in Starfield? 2: If so, can you beat Starfield as the Burger King? (Stealth build, maybe reverse pickpocket some charbroiled goodness into peoples' inventories. Only make money by selling burgers. Flying space burger ship.)
Nerbit congrats. It's been a long and occasionally painful journey but I'm glad to see you make it this far. Hope to see that million subs some day. Keep up the good work. 👍
Hey man, congrats on the 3 years! I think my first ever video of yours I watched was the pistol whippin' .45 challenge and I'm glad to see that you've applied your skills in a fantasy setting lmao. Here's to another 3 years and I hope that you have fun while doing so!
Congratulations on the three years.... love your content.... also fun fact: I've played/watched a lot of skyrim and never new there were optional alduin encounters or the bow bashing glitch....
I love the idea of someone being so dumb that they don't even know how to use a bow properly, so they just settle with using them to beat people to death.
I know you used the sanctuary music from fable 3!!!! Respect man!! I been playing fable all my life so I was pretty shocked to hear this in a Skyrim video!!
three years later and your content is awsome from a sheild to now your awsome content from I TOLD YOU TO STAY IN YOUR CELL to running form people what a long way congrats to you
Three years?! I'm shocked it's been that's long! happy to see the channel grow expenentionally over that time, Specialy with the lincoln ans chase vids
Skyrim Minecraft Challenge; you must only use items you craft yourself; No looting, No purchasing, not even materials; you have to gather those yourself. You can loot the pickaxe, fishing rod, and woodcutter's axe you need to get started, but everything else you use for combat MUST be crafted by you, with materials you gathered yourself. The only horse you're allowed to use is the dwemer automoton, as that's the only one you can craft. No fast Travel. You must construct a fully functioning house and only use that one for your home, and optionally, add all crafting stations. Then you must complete the main quest with only weapons and armor you crafted yourself from materials you mined/gathered yourself. Any gold you need to complete these goals, like buying the plot of land for the house, must be purchased in true minecraft fashion; with emeralds. Mine them, refine them, sell them without making jewelry. Alternatively, you can sell other things you've made, as long as you do not purchase any gear, potions, food, or materials, but you have to keep all septims as emeralds untill you have to spend them, spending them all into emeralds at, say, kahjiit traders, or general goods stores. You MAY purchase training, but again, only with emeralds you mine. Alternatively, you can nix the purchasing training all together for extra challenge, or mine and smelt gold bars instead of emeralds for less challenge.
Saw the title and immediately thought “ of fucking course you would find a way to make this shit work.” Another wonderful run Nerbit . Congrats on the 3 years. Have a wonderful day !
