In today's pokemon video we are going to look at the origin, secrets, timeline, story, lore, mysteries and history of the bosses seen in the #pokemon games made by nintendo. Throughout the years there have been a lot mario games like pokemon sword and shield, pokemon violet and scarlet, pokemon stadium, pokemon gold, silver, blue, red, emerald, sapphire, ruby and many more. And in these games you take part in contests, battles, gym fights, tournaments, and more. However today we will be talking about the legandary pokemon known as mew, who was quite popular back in the days of the nintendo gameboy. but many didnt know how to get him and so many rumors and hoaxes popped up. You can technically do this before you face misty. All you need is to catch an Abra and do the teleport instead of fly move.

@@DavidChurcheese Butterfree with sleep powder, abra in the bush next to route 24. Dont have a fight with the guy in this bush but use him as first trigger so you don't have to go to route 8. After the second trigger (slowpoke guy) walk back up route 24 and you'll encounter mew halfway on the bridge.

The first Gym trainer in Misty's Gym has a Shelder that will also trigger Mew if you didn't beat Misty yet.

They do. It’s a glitch called Arbitrary Code Execution (ACE), and you can actually use it to program the Mew Truck glitch into the game. There are even RU-vid videos about it, including one about an ACE method that creates a literal virus which enables the Mew Truck glitch for real, just by trading with a copy of the game that has the virus.

I remember those playground rumors went as far as to when I was in elementary school! My friends and I grew up old school with gameboys and gbas, we thought Mew was under the truck in Firered. We all had 3DS’s as well, but those playground rumors stuck with us!

I remember friend of mine in Australia, if I remember he either sent off his copy and ended up getting them to put mew on it via trading or there was a Pokémon thing going on at the shopping centres at the time and they would trade it to you. He didn't have a game shark or anything like that at the time as we didn't know what they were. Also this was the early 2000s as well before the 2003 method

This is absolutely true and I was one of the lucky kids who got a legit Mew from the Pokemon set-ups at the shopping centre. Still remember it clear as day too. Lined up for hours!

There are actually more ways to do this. Make sure that you have an Abra, that you heal at the Pokemon Center in Cerulean City, and that you have an empty space in your party. You should also bring a Pokemon with the move growl. If you have the move teleport, then you can go up to the trainer past and to the left of the bridge near Cerulean City. Then you should pause the game right as soon as you step into the view of the trainer. You should then teleport away. Once you do that, go to the gym and battle the trainer on the right. Defeating them normally will allow you to fight a level 7 Mew. If you use growl 6 times on the last (I think) Pokemon, then you will have the chance to fight a level 1 Mew. Once the trainer is defeated, go back to the bridge WITHOUT going into any buildings or anywhere else. You should also keep your hands away from any buttons that aren't direction input buttons. When you go to the bridge, Mew's cry will be heard and the start menu will automatically pop up. The fight will begin when you close out of the menu. Do not put a level 1 Mew in your box. It will freeze your game if you try to take it out. If you catch a level 1 Mew, then you can easily get it up to level 100 by using it to defeat a Pokemon that will give out less than 50 experience points. There should be some of those Pokemon south of Cerulean City.

it's been mentioned, catching Abra works and there are 2 Mews to catch sandshrew trainer and the 2nd trainer in Misty's gym trigger it.

The real Mew glitch was discovered in 2003 which is way after i stopped playing pokemon blue. That explains why i just now found out about it 21 years later. I did the whole ss anne surf thing as was the fashion in those days, and i would have been thrilled to find out about it back in those days.

When you are in a cave that you are told to push a boulder/rock into a hole, fall into the hole instead. You will immediately land on a masterball and then get attacked by mew.

There are actually two ways I can think of to obtain Mew with glitches. Arbitrary Code Execution and Bag Underflow. With Arbitrary Code Execution, you can execute almost any line of code you want by using certain glitch items which could allow you to initiate a battle with Mew. With Bag Underflow, you can access the items below the cancel button which represent the game's code. With this, you can modify the code however you want and easily initiate a battle with Mew. However, a way I saw a speedrunner find Pokemon was making a sign give it to them. You could also just cause one of your Pokemon to evolve into it if I recall correctly. It's a pretty powerful glitch.

I remember as a kid me and my friend kept our gameboys linked on the trade screen while we played no mercy. Like 20mins to an hour later a mew popped up he caught it and i caght a missingno. Giving my game a virus and restarting my data i think lol the 90s was ruthless but i dont see nobody talking about that glitch at all . Maybe we was the first to discover it

back in the day i got a Mew on my Red version through Nintendo officially. they had an event inside an electronic store that just required you to bring your cartridge and they transfer a mew onto your game. sadly i never backed up my save file over the years and my battery is dead now 😭

if you make it lv1 by using growl 6 times, the game glitches out further, levelling it up to level 100 if it receives fewer than the number of experience points to level up the next time it is used in battle

0:47 This guy is drunk. Mew is in the game. I have seen it with my own eyes. I think the person who had it might have used a Game Shark. You were born in 1998? You're young. I did get to the truck thanks to trading, but I was bummed when the truck didn't do anything when I tried pushing it. 5:41 I think I did that by accident once and the character no longer talked to me. I didn't know how to get Mew with glitches.
